Mind in Berkshire is expanding our Community Connectors Team within East Berkshire.  A key role within a multi-agency team,  our Community Connectors will build relationships and support patients to access a wide range of community services and resources including social care, housing, family, debt and employment counselling that support maintaining good health and wellbeing.

Job Role:

The Forces Employment Charity offers a specialist programme developed to support veterans in the Justice System who may be vulnerable, socially isolated, or need support to live or maintain a law-abiding life. 

Reporting to Op NOVA East England Regional Manager. The successful candidate will have experience in managing and supporting a caseload of vulnerable veterans in your allocated region. 

This position is full-time, 35 hours per week with a salary of £28,325. The successful candidate will be based at home with regular travel within the region, (Kent & Sussex). This role consists of managing and supporting caseloads of vulnerable veterans in your allocated region.

Principal Responsibilities:

​

• Contact all clients within 48 hours of allocation
• Undertake face to face needs assessments and develop support plan within 5 days of allocation
• Provide peer support and practical experience to colleagues and clients
• Carry out an assessment using the Outcome Star, understand and record Employment and Housing status, and other assessments as required by the Regional Manager.
• Review assessments at 3 monthly intervals to understand and demonstrate progress.
• Work with and empower client to engage with the support plan and goals agreed during their needs assessment
• Produce written report when requested highlighting support given to client and level of engagement
• Support the regional manager and national manager to create and maintain strong working relationships with referring organisations in the Area, including the Police, Probation Service and NHS Liaison and Diversion.
• Work to identify and engage veterans with the service
• Deliver emotional and practical support to veterans working with partner organisations to provide specialist support for everyone
• Ensure that all activity is recorded on Salesforce case management system (CMS)

About the role

The Hardman Trust supports people on long prison sentences to take their next steps in life. As the programme & volunteer coordinator your role is to help make this a reality through the coordination of programmes in line with our business plan, and overseeing the recruitment, onboarding and support of our volunteers. 

Your role is designed to flex to coordinate existing or new programmes as the needs of our organisation and its users evolve. In its first year, your role will be to coordinate our Penfriends letter writing programme and our grants programme. This will involve growing both programmes across the estate, liaising with prisons to ensure the smooth running of both programmes, and ensuring sufficient volunteer coverage. You will have day-to-day administrative support from our Office, Programmes and Grants Administrator to complete administrative tasks, and you will be supported by the Head of Service Delivery to embed an organisational-wide approach to volunteering.

Job Purpose

The purpose of the Programme Coordinator is co-ordinate with all parties (Community Engagement Manager, the Programme Manager, LMK Leaders and the host organisations) to enable LMK to deliver high quality workshops for young people/youth work professionals/workplaces. 

Acting as the lynchpin of the organisation’s delivery team, the Programme Coordinator takes the workshop brief from the LMK Community Engagement Manager and then works with the Programme Manager to secure facilitators (LMK leaders), ensures the host organisation receives all supporting information, and provides LMK Leaders with the resources they need to deliver the workshop effectively. This role is also responsible for regular reporting about workshop bookings and delivery. 

Reporting to our CEO, the successful candidate will be part of LMK’s core staff team. You will work with LMK staff, LMK Leaders, members of our Youth Advisory Board, trustees and key stakeholders to develop and implement our long-term strategy. 

Key responsibilities: 

• Provide excellent customer service to organisations who are hosting LMK workshops, ensuring that all communication is timely and accurate, and any questions are responded to in full.

• Liaise with the Programme Manager and LMK Leaders to ensure there is clear understanding around their areas of expertise, availability and any specific considerations that need to be taken into account when delivering workshops.

• Open up opportunities to deliver workshops to any Leader applicable, ensuring the allocation of workshops is done fairly and consistently.

• Ensure LMK leaders have the information and resources required to deliver their workshop.

• Work closely with the Research and Evaluation Manager to ensure that the correct evaluation surveys are made available to workshop participants. 

• Work with our Head of Fundraising to track workshop delivery against funder commitments.

• Keep the CRM system data up to date in a timely way.

• Produce regular reports for the CEO on the booking and delivery of workshops, as well as any ad-hoc reports requested. 

• Share Leader evaluation feedback from workshops with Leaders.

• Check invoices submitted by LMK leaders, and work with the Programme Manager to get them approved. 

• Support the Programme Manager to organise LMK Leader Huddles and training events.

• Comply with our policies and procedures relating to safeguarding, confidentiality, complaints and data protection.

Person specification

• At least 2 years’ experience in an event management/admin management/executive assistant/operations role where there was a strong requirement to work with multiple stakeholders internally and externally.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an excellent track record of customer service.

• Proven ability to work well within a team.

• Highly organised to manage a diverse workload with excellent time management and ability to pay attention to detail.

• Excellent organisational skills, with a keen attention to detail.

You’ll manage part of our amazing local campaigns team. Your work will help the charity improve the lives of people with Parkinson’s and those who care for them. 

Supporting and working alongside volunteers you’ll collaborate with colleagues in public affairs, policy, press, local teams and service improvement to make the voice of people with Parkinson’s heard with key decision makers. 

What you'll do 

• Line manage Local Campaign Officers and support them to develop impactful local campaigns which involve a diverse range of people with lived experience.
• Be a first point of contact for supporters and campaigners in the local area, who want to improve services in their local area.
• Provide expert advice and support to colleagues and campaigners on how best to challenge and influence local decision makers.
• React to issues in your local area that our local community raises, working with them to campaign to change things for the better.
• Build alliances and campaigns with other charities to further our shared goals.

What's the role about

This is a key role working alongside our Project Manager and Senior Race Equity specialist to shape our ways of working to be more inclusive. This will include coordinating activities, supporting taskforce members, researching, create content and training materials with support.

The role would suit somebody with strong organisational and communication skills with a background in race equity work who wants to apply these skills in the conservation sector, or someone with demonstrable coordination/administration skills and EDI knowledge and experience that wants to step into the race equity space.

Essential skills, knowledge and experience:

• Experience of coordinating and synchronising resources and people, in the delivery of anti-racist or EDI related activities and events.
• Awareness of the intersectional impact of protected characteristics, the Equality Act 2010 and barriers to people of colour, disabled people and people in other protected groups at work. 
• Experience of generating ideas that relate to EDI topics, creating short written or visual content, making information accessible to different audiences as a blog, video, infographic or other content formats.
• Strong administration and organisational skills, including the ability to manage data or records, manage own time and prioritise, create basic project plans and meet agreed deadlines.

As part of this we are seeking a passionate, dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as the Diocesan Net Zero Carbon Project & Engagement Lead.

You will be someone who is able to engage, motivate and work closely with diocesan staff, parish leaders and external partners to build strong relationships, foster a culture of sustainability, and develop a sense of momentum towards our aims of decarbonising our residential property portfolio and church buildings.

Key Responsibilities include:

· Influencing and supporting parishes to prepare and deliver their NZC action plans relating to their buildings.

· Support the Property Team to develop and implement a comprehensive NZC action plan for clergy housing.

· Developing relationships with technical specialists and potential funding agencies.

· Managing relationships and communications with a wide range of other stakeholders.

· Managing headline project data and tracking progress against the project delivery plan and providing regular, timely reports highlighting achievements and areas for improvement.

· Ensuring all relevant risks are identified and mitigation actions are in place.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills include:

· Degree or equivalent (with a project management and/or a qualification relevant to NZC).

· Extensive experience of leading, co-ordinating and delivering complex projects.

· Experience of managing multiple stakeholder types in a complex programme context.

· Experience of delivering clear written communication across a range of formats.

· Up-to-date knowledge of environmental and climate change issues.

· Strong knowledge of project management techniques and processes, including governance, plan management, budget, risk, and issue management. ·

· Strong leadership and influencing skills, with the ability to bring order to complex situations and find innovative ways of solving or pre-empting problems.

Our Digital Welfare Officers provide remote welfare support to RAF personnel and their immediate family, through the use of a variety of communication methods, i.e. Microsoft Teams, webchat, e-mail and social media platforms. As a trusted and confidential source of support, you will assist our service users with challenges they are facing, from mental ill-health, difficult relationships, domestic abuse, financial and cost-of-living concerns, resettlement, housing, childcare, equality issues, bereavement, military discharge or deployment and many more - no day will be the same, as such this is a great opportunity to develop your knowledge and skills within the Welfare sector.

Our intervention is provided with consent on a non-statutory basis, and you will work with and engage our service users to develop appropriate interventions for individual outcomes.

Our service is transitioning to become more accessible and inclusive, digital technology plays a key role in this, as such you will use digital technologies to complement and enhance processes and service user experience.

You will play an active role in engaging with local RAF welfare teams, as well as external agencies such as local authorities, health, education, civilian agencies, charities and other military organisations to ensure the best outcome for the service user.

About you

To thrive in this role, you will have relevant experience of supporting adults, families and children/young people. You will be able to take a flexible and creative approach to problem solving. Due to the remote working nature of the role, you will have excellent communication skills to identify and assess the service user’s needs and work alongside them to develop their personal support plan.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate a strong proficiency in Microsoft Teams and a broad computer literacy that includes the ability to work across multiple applications simultaneously. Confidence in recording data into an electronic information management system is essential, as is the capacity to rapidly acquire new software and application skills. The ability to plan and manage your own workload with minimal supervision is a key requirement for this role. Prior experience in using other Microsoft Office 365 applications to a high standard will be advantageous.

It would be advantageous if you have experience of carrying out assessments, preparing plans, monitoring and reviewing outcomes.

This role is homebased in the UK, you must live in the UK to be eligible. There will be some travel required and therefore you will need to be able to drive and have access to your own car.

About Fusion:
Fusion Maidstone is a health & wellbeing charity based in Park Wood.  We opened our doors in 2003 and set about developing programmes, activities and services to address the changing needs of the residents of Park Wood with a strong focus on addressing health inequalities.  Fusion works in the community to offer assistance in four key areas  Public Health, Food/Food Poverty, Social Inclusion, Mental Health.  Services are either delivered directly by Fusion or by a network of partner agencies.  We bring services to local people thereby removing barriers to engagement.

Park Wood Connects Project
Courtesy of the National Lottery Community Fund Fusion Maidstone are able to launch their Park Wood Connects project which is a three year engagement and support initiative co-designed with the local community to support people struggling with the combined effects of the cost-of-living crisis, the mental health crisis, and high levels of social isolation/loneliness in one of the South East’s most deprived communities.  To address the growing numbers of vulnerable local residents we propose to do two things through the Park Wood Connects project:

• Reach out better across the community to make more people aware that we and our partners are here to help.
• Make more services available locally by encouraging more people and organisations to begin delivering support locally.

About the Community Outreach Worker Role
Fusion is employing a Community Outreach Worker who has a great sense of community and customer service, enjoys working in an outreach environment and who is looking to make a positive difference to the local community.

Working closely with a second Community Outreach Worker and the Community Project Coordinator you will be performing tasks associated with community outreach including identifying and directly engaging with hard-to-reach individuals and families, providing responsive and effective support, deliver drop-in information sessions, recruit, induct and train volunteers to support the project, organise and host community engagement events throughout the year.

Organise and deliver 4 community engagement events each year of the project.
Organise and deliver a minimum of 12 drop in surgeries each year of the project in various locations.
