At Equal Lives, we're looking for an Independent Living Adviser to join our Suffolk Independent Living Service. This rewarding role supports people who use Direct Payments and personal budgets to arrange and manage their own care and support, giving them greater choice, control and independence.

You'll provide information, advice and guidance on a range of topics including Direct Payments, support planning, recruiting and employing Personal Assistants, and managing support arrangements. You'll work closely with individuals, families, professionals and community organisations to help people achieve positive outcomes and live independently.

We're looking for someone who:

About the Role

This role sits within our Information and Advice team and is key to the smooth running of our Information and Advice service. This role will provide casework support relating to Adult Social Care, Housing, and Welfare Benefits to Disabled Merton Residents.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

1. To manage a varied caseload, providing accessible and quality information, advice, guidance and representation to Disabled people in Merton.

2.   To support Disabled people in Merton with Adult Social Care including but not limited to Care Act assessments, reviews and reassessments, including Financial Assessments.

3.   To support Disabled people in Merton with Housing including getting on to and improving positions on the housing register, aids and adaptions and Disabled Facilities Grants.

4.   To support Disabled people in Merton with Welfare Benefits including but not limited to applications, assessments, appeals and tribunal representation.

5. To support quality assurance processes to maintain the Advice Quality Standard including ensuring case notes are updated in-line with frameworks, carrying out peer file review and taking part in supervision sessions.

6. Where appropriate, refer Disabled people to other services in line with our policies, including other Merton CIL services.

7. To research and remain informed of new legislation or policy changes that impact casework.

8. To collaborate with the Policy and Campaigns Team to push for systems change.

9.  To understand safeguarding procedures and raise concerns with support from the safeguarding lead.

Creu Cymru is seeking a highly organised and proactive Access Scheme Administrator to support the effective delivery and development of the access scheme (currently known as hynt). Hynt is a national access scheme that works with theatres and arts centres across Wales to improve access for Deaf, disabled, and neurodiverse people. 

The Access Scheme Administrator plays a key role in supporting both the operational and communications aspects of the project. Working closely with the Access Scheme Project Manager, the post-holder will be responsible for liaising with member venues and cardholders, updating systems and platforms, and coordinating marketing and communications. 

This is a people-focused and detail-oriented role, perfect for someone who is passionate about accessibility in the arts and skilled in communication and administration.

ABOUT HYNT 

Hynt is an Arts Council of Wales initiative managed by Creu Cymru. It ensures a consistent, accessible ticketing offer for individuals with specific access requirements at theatres and arts centres across Wales. The scheme provides a membership card that entitles holders to a complimentary companion ticket. 

In 2026, the scheme will transition into a UK and Ireland wide scheme.

Key Responsibilities 

Member and Audience Support 

• Act as the first point of contact for the access scheme enquiries, providing timely and accurate information to existing and potential applicants, venues, and partners.

• Be the Welsh language contact for the All In gateway in Wales to enable subscriber profiles and subscriber gateway queries to be answered in Wales, with support from the Project Manager.

Event Support 

• Support the planning and delivery of the annual Symposium, including managing event ticketing and attendee communication.

• Assist the Project Manager in delivering other access scheme events or activities as needed.

Systems and Administration 

• Update and maintain the CRM system with accurate records of subscribers, members, and activity.

• Provide administrative support to the Access Scheme Project Manager as required 

• Liaise with project partners and stakeholders as part of project delivery.

We’re looking for an innovative, compassionate and professional person with strong communication and organisational skills to join the Stroke Recovery Service in Herefordshire and Worcestershire.

Position: 000012 Stroke Support Coordinator

Location: Home-based covering Herefordshire and Worcestershire. However, this role will require extensive travel across the delivery area. Travel will also be required for team meetings and other work-related meetings

Hours: Part-time, 28 hours per week

Salary: Circa £22,600 per annum (FTE circa £28,300 per annum)

Contract: This is a fixed-term contract until 31st March 2027. Services are contracted and there is currently funding for this contract until 31st March 2027

The Role

In this role, you’ll support stroke survivors and their families as they adjust to life after stroke. You’ll help identify their needs, provide personalised information, advice and support, and work with them to achieve the outcomes that matter most to them.

Reporting to the Stroke Service Delivery Coach, the Stroke Support Coordinator will:

· Support stroke survivors and carers as they move from hospital discharge back into the community.

· Use a person-centred approach to help stroke survivors and carers set goals and access the right support.

· Provide clear, tailored information, advice and practical support.

· Encourage stroke survivors to make informed lifestyle changes that may reduce the risk of further strokes.

· Work closely with NHS colleagues and community partners to improve the lives of people affected by stroke.

About You

You will:

· Have a background in a caring and/or charity profession supporting people with disabilities.

· Be able to demonstrate previous experience of working collaboratively with other organisations to achieve joint ambitions.

· Have experience of working with people who may have additional communication support needs.

· Be proficient in using Microsoft applications, including Word and Excel and experience using IT systems to record and maintain beneficiary data.

This role requires extensive travel across a large geographical locality to visit people at home and in community settings. Candidates must be able to demonstrate how they can meet this requirement of the role.

The successful applicant will join the established Family Support Projects Team as a project manager for the delivery of our DfE funded Early Years SEND programme. The role of project manager involves development and coordination of internal and external resources and staffing to ensure the highest quality of delivery. Experience of project management and working in partnership with external organizations is a fundamental requirement of the role. Respond is looking for a compassionate and skilled Specialist Child and Young Person Advocate to join an innovative partnership delivering a new Child Sexual Abuse Support Hub. 

Working alongside SurvivorsUK and other specialist organisations, you will provide trauma-informed advocacy and emotional support to boys, girls and non-binary children and young people who have experienced sexual abuse. 

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a collaborative service that places children and young people at the centre of support, helping them understand their options, improve their safety and access the specialist services they need. 

About the role 

You will: 

• Hold a caseload of children and young people requiring specialist advocacy and support. 

• Provide practical and emotional support tailored to individual needs. 

• Support children and young people to access health, education, social care, therapeutic and criminal justice services where appropriate. 

• Work collaboratively with families, carers and professionals while ensuring the wishes and rights of the young person remain central. 

• Contribute to safeguarding, risk management and multidisciplinary working across the partnership. 

• Help improve access to services for children and young people who experience additional barriers, including disabled children and young people and those from under-represented communities. 

Please note this is not a court advocacy or Independent Sexual Violence Adviser (ISVA) role. Where ongoing ISVA or court support is required, you will work closely with partner organisations to ensure children and young people receive the right support at the right time.

Role overview 

Shine supports a community of over 15,000 members living with spina bifida and/or hydrocephalus, including 10,000 adults (25+).

You will be delivering high-quality support and creating opportunities for adults living with spina bifida and/or hydrocephalus and their carers, supporting Shine members to lead healthy, independent, and fulfilling lives by improving condition management and fostering connections within the Shine community. 

This role will focus on adults (25+), you will be primarily working within the Adult Services Team. However, there will be occasions when you will work across age groups to ensure the best outcomes for our members. 

The role is home-based and ideally you will live within an hour commute of London, within Essex, Kent or Sussex as you will be attending clinics in London and the Southeast as required. There would be occasional travel required across wider areas and nationally including attendance at events, conferences and meetings at our head office in Peterborough. 

The role is full time 35 hours per week, Monday - Friday with working core hours 9am-5pm with some flexibility to cover events evenings/weekends.

Key Responsibilities 

• Deliver innovative support across your region to improve health, social, and emotional outcomes for members. 

• Attend specialist clinics to engage with members and professionals. 

• Provide information, advice, and guidance to our adult members and carers, including hard-to-reach communities. 

• Support members to access benefits, services, and resources that promote financial stability, health, and independence. 

• Refer members to Shine’s Health team, internal specialists, or external agencies as appropriate. 

• Develop age-specific groups and peer support networks to reduce isolation and encourage social interaction. 

• Recruit and support Shine volunteers. 

• Contribute to regional and national events (face-to-face and virtual) based on member needs and interests. 

• Represent Shine at conferences, provide information, raise awareness among professionals, external organisations, and the public through presentations and training. 

• Promote Shine membership to individuals with relevant conditions. 

• Maintain accurate records using Shine’s CRM (Salesforce database). 

• Collaborate with colleagues across services, fundraising, marketing to identify opportunities for sustainability. 

• Maintain an up-to-date directory of contacts and share relevant information internally. 

• Undertake administrative tasks and other duties as required.

As a Senior Campaigns Adviser, you will play a vital role in developing and delivering national campaigns that make a real difference for people affected by motor neurone disease (MND). Working in a fast-paced environment, you will identify opportunities to influence policy, legislation and public debate, while ensuring our MND community is meaningfully involved in developing campaigns, and creating engaging content that motivates supporters to take action bringing your experience from the third sector.

At the Motor Neurone Disease Association, our work is driven by the urgent need to improve the lives of people affected by MND. As a Senior Campaigns Adviser, you will join a collaborative team committed to creating positive change through evidence-led campaigning.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver evidence-based national campaigns with clear objectives and measurable outcomes
• Identify and act on campaigning opportunities in collaboration with Campaigns, Policy and Public Affairs colleagues, responding quickly to changing political priorities and public debate
• Ensure people with and affected by MND are meaningfully involved in campaign development and delivery
• Create accessible and engaging content across email, website and social media channels
• Develop communications plans to keep supporters informed and inspired
• Build and manage e-actions, webpages and supporter communications using relevant digital platforms
• Monitor, evaluate and report on campaign performance against agreed objectives and key measures

About You

RNID Near You Co-ordinator Powys

As Near You Coordinator Powys for our Community Services Team, you will focus and lead on co-ordinating our volunteer delivered RNID Near You service in Powys. This service operates across the county of Powys, in partnership with Powys Teaching Health Board to ensure that deaf people and those with hearing loss or tinnitus receive the support and information needed to lead quality lives.

You will focus and lead on developing and delivering the community service across your designated area through drop-in sessions offering: 

· Practical hearing aid support 

· Information on hearing loss and tinnitus 

· Hearing checks 

You will be responsible for 

· Co-ordinating up to 15 drop-in sessions and be able to recruit, train and manage a team of up to 30 volunteers to deliver the service. You will have responsibility for the set up and running of these sessions and have good local knowledge of the chosen area to seek new opportunities for delivery of the RNID Near-You services. 

· Co-ordinating the promotion of the service and raise awareness of the service e.g., through giving presentations to groups and organisations. 

· Developing the service to utilise RNID online resources and digital tools and support volunteers to use these tools. 

· Liaising with other local service providers to respond to the needs of deaf people and those with hearing loss or tinnitus; and develop links with other organisations and agencies working with them.  

You will be a motivated person with a keen interest in supporting people with their hearing loss. While you will be home based, there will be regular travel to all venues where we will provide drop-in sessions in community settings. 

You want to make a difference in people’s lives and love to interact with various audiences, including volunteers, health & care professionals and service users. You have experience managing events, your own workload and are able to work evenings/ weekends if required. 

You are able to physically assist clients with hearing aids sensitively, giving clear guidance and taking into account individual wishes and health needs. You are ready to work for a home-working organisation and have good IT skills, particularly with Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel, Word. 

No specific Qualifications are required for this role.
