About the Role

The is a fantastic opportunity to join a a small and friendly Human Resources team, where you'll play a key role in delivering outstanding customer service across the organisation. You'll be supporting 250 passionate and dedicated staff and volunteers, who provide rehabilitation to survivors of torture and campaign for their rights in the UK.

You will support the HR team in delivering a comprehensive and efficient Human Resources service. As the first point of contact for HR and recruitment-related administrative queries, you'll gain valuable exposure to all aspects of the HR function and the full employee lifecycle.

About You

You will be an experienced Administrator with a strong track record of supporting busy teams. This role offers the opportunity to either deepen your existing HR experience or begin an exciting new career in Human Resources.

About this key role

Your role will be to provide young person centred holistic support – including everything from helping clients to understand their own behaviour and its consequences, and promoting change, to helping clients’ families to support them and providing practical help with attending appointments, education, training and employment options, housing, benefits, debt and other aspects of day-to-day living. 

Working flexibly within the community and within identified office spaces within London (opportunities for home working will be minimal within this role), you’ll be building effective and engaging relationships with young people involved in or at risk of being involved in the criminal justice system, with the aim of improving their life chances. You’ll conduct robust risk assessments and strengths-based needs assessments, with safeguarding as the priority, and ensure that all young people work towards an agreed support plan which is regularly reviewed and adapted. You’ll also build effective relationships with agencies providing services to the client group, and enable clients to engage in positive activity within the community (e.g. boxing, football, etc).

What we are looking for

• Significant experience of working with children, young people and/or vulnerable adults and delivering interventions that have had a positive impact – preferably in a health and wellbeing context and/or on an offender led support project.

• Experience of providing support, advice and advocacy, with the ability to assess clients’ needs. 

• Extensive experience of managing complex safeguarding issues with children, young people and adults who are at risk of violence or exploitation, whilst working alone.

• Understanding of the physical, social, emotional and developmental needs of children and young people, their specific needs as they transition to legal adulthood, and the issues they face, e.g. exploitation, victimisation, offending, school exclusion, unemployment, trauma.

• Extensive knowledge of the impact of context – with a clear understanding of best practice around contextual safeguarding and those experiencing harm outside the home.

• Knowledge of trauma-informed practice in the context of working with children, young people and parents/carers impacted by violence and exploitation, and of how trauma –including from their own lives – can impact on how practitioners manage cases.

• Working knowledge of child protection and safeguarding legislation/policy, with experience of providing support, advice and advocacy to staff with a safeguarding responsibility.

• Understanding of the importance of good quality case recording quality assurance principles. 

• Ability to use electronic case management systems to record all aspects of the role, including action plans, outcomes and session data on a day-to-day basis.

• Recognition of the importance of resilience in coping with the emotional demands of the role and demonstrable experience of managing your own wellbeing.

• Relevant qualification to a good standard or equivalent experience – ideally with relevant accredited training such as safeguarding, counselling or mental health first aid.

Focusing on Ultra High Net Worth Individuals and Corporates, this role will lead the relationship mapping, building, and the fundraising ask. It will convey the unique offering Cumberland Lodge can bring to potential donors and work towards multimillion pound income levels to ensure the growth of the charity's educational programme delivery and activity. This role line manages one staff member and has direct support from the CEO to achieve income generation growth.  A key opportunity is the upcoming 80 th anniversary of the Educational Foundation in 2027.

The successful candidate will be able to evidence extensive high value fundraising experience, with notable examples of successfully securing six and seven-figure gifts from major donors and corporates.

This person will have proven experience of creating and leading successful philanthropy fundraising strategy to achieve income and engagement growth of a multimillion-pound level. They will also be an experienced senior leader and ideally have knowledge of the education, youth, social impact, and social values sectors. They will champion an inclusive culture and align with Cumberland Lodge's mission and values.

About the role:

As Property Manager & Estate Administrator you will help the Trust uphold the highest standards of property management. Reporting directly to the Head of Estate Management, you will oversee the management of half of the Trust's direct let residential property portfolio of around 160 homes. Responsibilities

Core responsibilities include:

Strategy and leadership

• Responsible for the development and implementation of Uplift’s legal strategy.
• Lead the development of Uplift’s strategic legal work, including litigation, law reform advocacy, and legal advice and analysis, that advances Uplift’s objectives.
• Lead the delivery of work programmes - including management of diverse and complex litigation and associated legal campaigns/communications - in line with Uplift’s legal strategy.

Our ideal candidate will have: 

• Experience in a similar or related role.
• A formal legal qualification, with a strong preference for previous experience in strategic litigation. Legal expertise in an area relevant to Uplift’s legal work is essential: environmental or climate law, public law (including administrative law) and/or just energy transitions.
• Experience of working and advising on policy areas linked to Uplift’s agenda would be a significant asset.
• A demonstrable ability to provide compelling and novel analysis, including defining and executing strategic legal projects.

The Role As General Manager, you’ll combine strategic leadership with business development to oversee LRDT and its commercial subsidiary. Reporting to the Board of Trustees, you’ll secure new income streams, manage our property portfolio, and strengthen community ties. This is a hands-on role for a visionary leader eager to make a tangible difference.

Key Responsibilities

-Lead with vision to align LRDT and the subsidiary with charitable and commercial goals.

-Develop fundraising and income strategies, targeting grants, donors, and new property revenue.

-Oversee budgeting, financial transparency, and risk management using tools like QuickBooks.

-Manage the property portfolio, ensuring tenant satisfaction and compliance.

-Build relationships with local authorities, businesses, and community partners.

-Inspire a small team and volunteers, fostering an inclusive work environment.

-Oversee capital projects and drive innovative growth opportunities.

We’re Looking For

-Proven leadership and business development experience in the charity, social enterprise, or community sector.

-Strong financial acumen, with skills in fundraising and budgeting.

-Excellent relationship-building and communication skills, with a passion for community engagement.

-Strategic planning and project management expertise.

-Knowledge of charity governance and compliance.

-Desirable: Experience in property management, QuickBooks, or the Lyme Regis community.

Variety is looking for a Corporate Partnerships Executive to support the development and delivery of our corporate partnerships portfolio and to support securing new partnerships. Our corporate supporters are key to achieving our mission to fund life-changing practical support to disabled and disadvantaged children and young people across the UK. You will be joining the charity at an exciting time as we launch a three year strategy to drive ambitious growth, with a new Director of Fundraising in place. You will support the delivery and development of sector-leading partnerships.

You will play a key role in our collaborative and high-performing team, working across the fundraising team to develop corporate leads from our high profile events and supporters, support our existing partnerships and drive corporate engagement to achieve our goals.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
● Support the account management of corporate partnerships, delivering first class stewardship, increasing engagement and supporting delivery for maximum potential for Variety
● Research business leads to feed the corporate pipeline and new business approaches, identifying prospects
● Keep partnership account plans up to date including fundraising, communications, finance and impact reporting, ensuring we meet key deadlines
● Send fundraising materials to supporters and corporate partners to enhance staff fundraising and engagement
● Attend Varity fundraising and awareness events, maximizing engagement opportunities for corporate partners and building relationships with supporters, while working closely with the services and communications team
● Managing a portfolio of smaller partnerships, giving great stewardship and ensuring donations and fundraising come in as planned
● Support budgeting of income from partners and reforecasting income
● Support administration in fundraising including sending out materials, replying to general enquiries, creating proposals and invoicing partners
● Participate in staff meetings, fundraising team meetings and contribute to the success of Variety’s fundraising strategy
● Represent Variety externally at events and cheque presentations

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
Essential
• Experience of two years working on a fundraising team
• Experience of attending events and representing a charity
• Experience of donor stewardship and excellent customer service
• Good writing and communication skills
• Good organisational skills and multi-tasking during busy periods

• An understanding of corporate fundraising

About the Role

To assist the Service Manager on the service delivery of the project including participation in the evaluation, lead on safeguarding, promoting awareness of WiSER, assessing and managing referrals, accurate data recording, and building and maintaining effective relationships with partner agencies. To supervise and manage 5 staff including supervision, appraisals and professional development.

About You

· Demonstrable experience of working with people affected by VAWG

· Experience of staff management including supervision, performance management and development of practice

· Experience of working with people affected by severe and multiple disadvantage: homelessness, substance use, mental health issues, insecure immigration status, and offending behaviour

· Experience of multi-agency partnership working

· Experience of risk assessment, risk management, and safety planning with victim/survivors including those at high risk

· A sound working knowledge of the practical, emotional, social and economic issues facing women and children affected by domestic abuse

· Knowledge of housing, welfare and policy relating to domestic abuse

· Sound knowledge of safeguarding for adults and children

· Ability to provide strong leadership and management within an equalities framework

· Ability to multi-task and display effective time management skills

· Ability to collate and analyse data and write detailed reports for commissioners/funders
