Overview:

• As COO you will be BeyondAutism’s second-in-command and be responsible for the financial well-being 
of the charity, financial and commercial strategy and day-to-day operational excellence.
• The overarching purpose of the COO position is to work with the CEO on defining the financial and 
operational strategy of BeyondAutism and then to implement it, thereby enabling the charity to deliver its 
charitable objects.
• You will provide strong leadership of the finance function, being proactive, outward facing and an 
exceptional manager of stakeholder relationships.

Responsibilities
• Leadership and management of a senior team to deliver business plans in pursuance of the strategic 
objectives.
• Developing and leading the finance and operations functions (HR, Facilities, and Projects) so that they 
facilitate the growth and reach agenda.
• Provide leadership on Finance and Accounting strategy, to optimise BeyondAutism’s financial performance.
• With the CEO and Heads of Services, ensure that our regulatory services remain outstanding.
• To deputise for the CEO as required.
Strategic leadership
• Delivering results during a period of unpredictability, negotiating with and influencing senior stakeholders from 
a variety of disciplines (political, commercial, and Local Authority).
• Leading the operations functions so that they are proactive, outward-facing and viewed as an essential partner 
in the decision-making process.
• Increasing the commercial capability throughout the organisation, with a focus on delivering value for money 
through effective contract and supplier management.
• With the Heads of Services, review the model for service delivery as part of implementing the reach strategy. 
This will include the service models currently operating in London.
• Building and enacting transformational change to the commercial strategic decision making in collaboration 
with the CEO.
• With accountability for procurement and contract management, you will demonstrate ongoing improvement to 
processes and transparency, working to create a system in which it is faster and easier to satisfy Trustee 
scrutiny and meet accountability requirements.
• You will operate collegiately with the Senior Management Team to ensure we build effective customer 
relationships and deliver services that meet the needs of the end-user.
• You will be accountable for an Operational Blueprint that delivers growth for the organisation.
• Assess the revenue opportunity versus the risk and cost profile of the pricing/operating models.
• Advise on strategic implications resulting from legal and regulatory changes.
• Define and oversee adherence to policies and procedures.
• Own and apply commercial scrutiny.
• Establish and embed a system to track and monitor all contracts, tracking all changes regardless of risk 
attributed to the given clause.
• Localise and translate standard contract templates where applicable and maintain these templates.
• Provide risk advice to the Senior Management Team.
Financial leadership and management
• Ensure that company financial systems are robust, compliant and support current activities and future 
reach/growth.
• Ensure that all regulatory requirements are met including the Charity Commission, Ofsted and Company Law.
• Take a lead role along with the CEO in arranging finance in accordance with Trustee strategy.
• Ensure appropriate reporting of the month end is timely and informs decision making.
• Write and share a monthly analysis flagging key risks and, with the CEO, ensure actions are taken to mitigate 
risks.
• Provide reporting against budget/forecast, ensuring viability of each service within full cost recovery 
parameters.
• Provide executive summary reporting to Trustees.
• Lead the budget setting process, liaising effectively with each member of SMT and the finance team.
• Presentation of Budget to Trustees.
• Reflect and present information in appropriate formats for internal and external use.
• Take the lead as appropriate on specified projects, following our project management processes.
• Ensure your team are supported and skilled in new service development.

Facilities
• Senior leadership oversight of the facilities strategy, including health and safety compliance, appropriate and 
robust contracts and a viable maintenance cycle.
• Through your leadership team, ensure quality and compliance systems and processes are embedded, 
informative and enabling of a learning organisation.
• Ensure that BeyondAutism has the best affordable IT infrastructure and resources.
• Ensure that our premises are fit for purpose, in the right place, at the right time. 
HR
• Senior leadership oversight of the people strategy ensuring swift action and appropriate scrutiny of our 
recruitment and retention strategy.
• With the CEO and wider SMT ensure that BeyondAutism is an employer of choice within our sector.
• With the Head of HR, support in the design and implementation of key HR strategic initiatives and drive 
performance improvements across the HR team.
Projects
• Senior leadership oversight of the project portfolio, specifically driving sustainability and viability through our 
reach agenda.
• With the Projects Manager, ensure deadlines are met and projects are delivered within agreed budgets.
• Ensuring reporting is timely and data rich to underpin decision-making.
General responsibilities
• To understand, adhere to and actively implement all the policies and procedures of BeyondAutism.
• To safeguard children and vulnerable adults at all times.
• To undertake training as required.
• Assist with other work, events and projects as needed.
• Any other duties that the Chief Executive Officer may reasonably require.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Develop and deliver a rolling programme of inclusive daytime events, including casual sports, entertainment, craft/hobby sessions, and intramural activities with student clubs.
2. Plan and run engaging events in the Engine Shed café/bar to increase footfall and create a social campus environment.
3. Build partnerships with local businesses and community groups to increase student engagement with the wider town and develop town-centre activations.
4. Coach and Support our Elected Officers with their independent campaign and event work, ensuring synergy between one’s own work, and that of the elected team.
5. Promote all events through digital channels and on-campus marketing.
6. Complete thorough risk assessments for all events, ensuring health, safety, and accessibility are prioritised.
7. Maintain accurate records of activities, feedback, and attendance to evaluate and improve impact.
8. Support wider Students’ Union events and cross-team campaigns as needed.
9. Support the Marketing Manager with the delivery of Open Day events and activities.

The Marketing and Communications Manager leads the development and delivery of all marketing, communications, and branding activity at Northampton Students’ Union. This role is central to ensuring that all campaigns, messaging, and visual content reflect the Union’s strategic priorities and values—Courageous, Empowering, Authentic, Inclusive, and Innovative—while engaging and informing students, stakeholders, and the wider community. The postholder will drive a student-led, insight-informed communications culture that strengthens the SU’s brand, increases participation, and amplifies student voice.

Strategic Marketing & Brand Leadership:

1. Lead the implementation of the Union’s Marketing, Brand and Communications Strategy in alignment with the 2023–2027 Strategic Plan.
2. Create and oversee annual and in-year communications plans, supporting Union services and events with impactful, timely, and coordinated campaigns.
3. Ensure brand consistency and clarity across all physical and digital channels, reinforcing the SU’s reputation and values.
4. Develop and embed a compelling brand identity and tone of voice that reflects the SU’s purpose and is recognisable to students and stakeholders.

Team Leadership & Organisational Collaboration:

1. Manage and mentor a small marketing and design team, fostering innovation, inclusion, and professional growth.
2. Serve as the SU’s lead advisor on marketing and communications, supporting officers and staff with effective messaging and engagement strategies.
3. Represent the marketing function within operational leadership meetings and cross-functional projects.
4. Lead SU activity on University Open Days and Discovery Days, promoting the SU’s offer and student benefits to prospective students.
5. Oversee the relationship with the SU’s CRM provider, ensuring effective system use for campaigns and student engagement.

Campaigns & Content Delivery:

1. Plan and deliver integrated, multi-channel marketing campaigns across digital, print, and in-person channels.
2. Align campaign goals with departmental objectives, ensuring relevance to student needs and strategic outcomes.
3. Oversee the development of high-quality, student-relevant content, including social media, video, email, and web.
4. Track and evaluate campaign effectiveness using data and insights to guide future planning.
5. Work closely with Executive Officers to amplify representation priorities through communications.

Student Engagement & Insight:

1. Ensure communications reflect the diversity of the UON student population and are accessible and inclusive.
2. Use data, feedback, and engagement analytics to shape communications that resonate with student experiences and lifecycle moments.
3. Drive student-led storytelling and ensure campaigns visibly reflect student voices, lived experiences, and participation opportunities.

Recovery Support Team Leader Location: London Salary: £30,082 per annum, plus benefits Vacancy Type: Permanent, Full Time We are recruiting for a Recovery Support Team Leader. The Recovery Support service is available to current or former Forward Trust clients who are on a substance misuse recovery pathway, making good progress within the Forward Trust towards their personal goals, and coming to the end of their current treatment pathway. While Recovery Support is not exclusively for clients who are abstinent, clients will need to be in control of their drink and/ or drug use, and not be chaotic in their using i.e. heavy drinking, antisocial behaviour, daily/binge using of either drugs or alcohol (especially main substance/s of choice). Forward Connect is a peer-led mutual aid community of like-minded people who are making good progress in their own journey – this could be people in addiction recovery, moving away from crime, overcoming mental health problems, or who are coming out of a period of unemployment or homelessness. Roles Responsibilities The Team Leader will be based within the central Recovery Support team. The Team Leader will be responsible for co-ordinating all recovery support functions across Forward Trust’s substance misuse services into a coherent and effective service that offers inspiration and a structured pathway to recovery for service users, as well as supporting to develop our peer led network called Forward Connect. The Team leader will also support with the delivery of the peer mentoring strategy in their allocated geographical areas. The aim of the role is to have a robust recovery support service integrated into all services, promoting and modelling the organisations values and ethos, supporting service users to further develop their recovery and lives, whilst bringing visible lived experience to all including staff via a range of recovery support interventions. The role is Hybrid. There is no set base but travelling is needed to Islington (London) as will require regular weekly visits to the 3 better lives buildings and occasional cover of weekend shifts in this area. You will also need to travel to units within their geographical areas which does include prisons and community projects. Some travel may be covered by the Forward Trust depending on your base, but ideally you should be based within 20 miles of Islington. The Team Leader will be responsible for co-ordinating all recovery support functions across Forward Trust’s substance misuse services into a coherent and effective service that offers inspiration and a structured pathway to recovery for service users, as well as supporting to develop our peer led network called Forward Connect. The Team leader will also support with the delivery of the peer mentoring strategy in their allocated geographical areas. All prison-based roles will require enhanced DBS and HMPPS security vetting. 4. Administer travel and expense claims for trustees and members of committees.

Senior Leadership Support:

3. Manage timely correspondence, including email, opening of post and taking telephone calls and action where possible.

About the role

We are seeking an individual giving officer to support the development and delivery of our individual giving programme. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in our fundraising team, helping to grow income and deepen engagement from our supporter base.

Key duties

• Assist in the planning and implementation of individual giving campaigns that deliver sustainable income growth and long-term donor engagement
• Manage supporter engagement and acquisition across multiple channels including social media, email, SMS, direct mail, and online campaigns
• Work closely with the fundraising, research, and communications teams to ensure successful delivery of individual giving activities
• Oversee data selection for campaigns to optimise return on investment and support testing; ensure data is managed securely and in line with GDPR
• Support reporting and forecasting of financial and non-financial performance across the individual giving programme
• Contribute to the development and launch of a mid-value donor fundraising programme
• Support donor journeys that build loyalty and increase lifetime value through a range of fundraising products

Skills and experience required

• Proven experience managing projects across direct marketing channels, including both digital and print
• Strong copywriting and creative writing skills
• Experience developing fundraising and marketing content based on audience insights
• Confident working with external agencies across creative, print, digital, and media
• Experience supporting the planning and budgeting of individual giving activity
• Familiarity with legacy marketing is desirable but not essential

Core Responsibilities:

• Scope, commission, and manage evaluation projects to generate actionable evidence for commissioning and service delivery, ensuring effective supplier, project management, and contractor relationships
• Monitor project progress to ensure timely, budget-compliant delivery of high-quality evaluations, meeting objectives and adhering to policies
• Collate evaluation and programme data for organization-level impact reports
• Analyse research data and conduct desk research to support the Homewards programme team in scoping future activities
• Provide day-to-day support to the Senior Research and Impact Manager in overseeing research and evaluation across the Homewards programme
• Disseminate evidence effectively through various channels and support the interpretation and application of learnings to a wide range of stakeholders
• Provide updates for internal and external stakeholders, including the Board and Homewards partners
• Advise programme partners on research and evaluation design and delivery for action plans
• Identify and mitigate risks through strong project management
• Ensure compliance with Market Research Society (MRS) standards and GDPR for data handling
• Support the Research and Impact team in developing and delivering the research strategy

Candidate:

You will be able to demonstrate:

• Minimum 5 years' experience managing research and evaluation projects
• Strong understanding of evaluation techniques, including expertise in commissioning various evaluation approaches, including process, quantitative impact, and theory-based evaluations
• Experience in developing procurement materials and briefing external suppliers, managing research commissions, and ensuring quality and compliance with financial and contractual requirements
• Proven ability to draft research materials, analyse data, and produce high-quality outputs (quantitative and qualitative)
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to synthesize data from a range of sources
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, skilled in communicating research findings to both internal teams and external audiences, including non-researchers
• Able to work independently and prioritise own tasks and time, has an excellent eye for detail, and can work collaboratively and effectively with others
• Optimistic and energetic outlook, keen to maximise the positive change that the Homewards programme can deliver

Across Salisbury’s schools, something sacred is unfolding. Through the ministry of chaplaincy, young people are not only encountering the Christian story—they’re engaging with it. There’s no natural community to nurture belief, no clear bridge between their experience in school and a life of ongoing discipleship. The result? What should be a comma, sadly becomes a full stop.

The Third Space Youth Lead is a unique partnership between The Bridge Youth Project and St Paul’s Church, Salisbury, bringing together two missional contexts with one unified purpose: to help young people move from curiosity to commitment, and from early encounters with faith into meaningful, sustained discipleship.

Half of this role is embedded at St Paul’s, leading a vibrant and growing youth ministry for young people aged 11–18, offering regular gatherings, discipleship pathways, mentoring, and opportunities for leadership. The other half leads our new Third Space ministry, working in close collaboration with Bridge Chaplains to create invitational, community-rooted spaces beyond school and church walls, spaces where young people can belong, explore, and grow in their faith journey.

Our mission as a charity is to create brighter todays and better tomorrow for the children and families of Noah’s Ark. The Sparkle Fund plays a vital role in the first part of that mission, creating brighter days for inpatient families by delivering our ‘over and above’ service on the wards. We fund cutting-edge research, provide advice and support for the 12 million people who will get a lung condition during their lifetime. We also campaign for clean air and for better NHS diagnosis and treatment.

You will support the finance team with a variety of key accounting tasks, including processing invoices and payments, reviewing staff expenses, preparing journals and reconciliations, and maintaining accurate financial records. You’ll also assist with income processing, support year-end audit preparation and play a vital part in ensuring the charity’s financial operations run smoothly and efficiently.

We’re looking for someone with strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of accounting principles. You’ll need good communication abilities, both written and verbal, along with the confidence to manage your workload, meet deadlines, and resolve issues independently. Strong Excel skills and a good working knowledge of general ledger systems are also important for this role.
