Job description

Smart Works is a dynamic, high profile and fast-growing UK charity that dresses and coaches unemployed women for success at their job interview. We empower each woman by giving her the clothes and the confidence she needs to succeed.

After visiting Smart Works, 67% of clients secure a job within a month, gaining financial independence and transforming their lives.

The Smart Works service is delivered in London, Manchester, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Birmingham, Newcastle, Reading, Bristol and Leeds. Over the past ten years, Smart Works has helped over 50,000 women, and last year alone we reached 10,600 women. It is our mission that any woman who needs our service should be able to find her way to a Smart Works centre.

In March 2025, Smart Works completed their Three-Year Plan that saw the charity double the number of women helped annually from 5,000 to 10,000 women a year. To achieve this, we grew our existing centres and open new centres in areas of need.

About the Role

Last year, Smart Works Leeds hit an important milestone when they supported over 1000 women with their coaching and dressing service. Over the next 12 months and beyond, there are plans to grow the service even further and ensure that all unemployed women located in Yorkshire are aware of the transformative service available to them at Smart Works Leeds. To deliver growth, it is fundamental to expand the fundraising team so that consistent revenue streams continue to be developed and that relationships with the hugely important network of supporters are nurtured to a high standard.

We are looking for a passionate and proactive Partnerships and Events Coordinator to play a pivotal role in supporting the fundraising team. By providing essential administrative, events and marketing support, you will help build a strong pipeline of income- enabling the charity to grow and reach even more women on their journey to employment.

This role will suit anyone who is organised, a strong communicator and has an interest in worknig in the charity sector. For full details of the person specification, please take a look at the role profile attached.

How to Apply

Please submit a CV and cover letter through our website by 9am on Monday 4th August 2025. Your application should be addressed to Kate Murphy, Centre Manager.

1st round interview will take place on Monday 11th August 2025.

If you require any reasonable adjustments or alterations for the application and recruitment processes, please don't hesitate to contact us.

Smart Works is committed to best practice employment practices, including reducing the burden for those seeking work. Smart Works will therefore reimburse reasonable costs of travel to interviews if required.
