Job description
Do you have the commercial drive and entrepreneurial mindset to identify opportunities others may not see? Can you develop and lead a high-performing team and secure complex, high-value partnerships that deliver transformational income and impact?

About the role
We are recruiting for an ambitious and influential Corporate Partnerships Lead (New Partnerships) to join on a full-time basis, working 35 hours per week on a permanent contract. This is a hybrid role with your time split each week between working remotely and travelling into London to work from our office at Crutched Friars or to attend in-person meetings with prospective partners, colleagues, and other stakeholders.

As Corporate Partnerships Lead (New Partnerships) you will lead one of Alzheimer’s Society’s key income-growth functions. You will own and deliver our New Partnerships strategy, setting a clear direction for where we focus our ambition, investment, and resources to generate the greatest income and impact for both Alzheimer’s Society and our partners.

Leading and developing a high-performing, commercially focused team, you will create a culture of ambition, accountability, innovation and success. You will empower colleagues to pursue bold opportunities, while providing the strategic focus, support and challenge needed to deliver exceptional results.

You will bring an entrepreneurial and externally focused approach, using market knowledge, emerging trends, and insight to identify new opportunities and turn them into compelling, commercially attractive partnership propositions.

This is also a hands-on leadership role. You will personally lead some of our highest-value and most complex opportunities, influencing senior stakeholders, navigating negotiations, and securing transformational, multi-year partnerships.

Acting as a senior advocate across Alzheimer’s Society, you will work closely with colleagues across the organisation. You will influence how we approach and prioritise markets, define what outstanding partnerships look like and ensure the organisation is equipped to respond to significant opportunities.

We have provisionally scheduled the first stage interviews for this role to take place via MS Teams on the week commencing Monday 26th October. Second stage interviews will take place in-person at our Crutched Friars offices in London – currently scheduled for Wednesday 11th November.

About you
You will bring significant experience of identifying, developing and securing complex, high-value commercial or corporate partnerships, including a proven track record of securing six and seven-figure opportunities. Your experience may have been gained in the charity, private, or public sector.

You will be:

- An ambitious and inspiring leader, with a strong record of building, developing and leading high-performing teams.
- Commercially astute and highly entrepreneurial, with the ability to identify market opportunities, assess their potential and make informed decisions about where to invest time and resources.
- An experienced opportunity- developer and negotiator, able to create compelling propositions and convert complex opportunities into significant, long-term partnerships.
- Confident influencing at the most senior levels, with the credibility and communication skills to build trusted relationships with executives and C-suite stakeholders.
- Comfortable balancing strategic leadership with personal ownership of priority opportunities and negotiations.
- Experienced in creating a culture that combines ambition and innovation with clear accountability for performance and results.
- Able to interpret market insight, corporate priorities and emerging trends, including Environmental, Social and Governance priorities, and apply these insights to partnership strategy.
- Collaborative and influential, with the ability to bring colleagues together around major opportunities and shape decision-making across a complex organisation.

What you’ll focus on:

- Owning and delivering the New Partnerships strategy, establishing a clear approach to priority markets, prospects and propositions.
- Leading the New Partnerships team to identify and secure high-value, multi-year partnerships that deliver income, impact and wider strategic value.
- Contributing to the Corporate Partnerships team’s income target, while building a strong and sustainable pipeline for future years.
- Building a culture of ambition, high performance, innovation and collaboration, providing the right balance of empowerment, support, challenge and accountability.
- Identifying significant market opportunities, corporate trends and areas for growth, and translating these into clear commercial strategies and investable propositions.
- Making strategic decisions about the prioritisation of opportunities and effective use of team capacity and organisational resources.
- Personally leading some of Alzheimer’s Society’s highest-value and most complex partnership and campaign opportunities, including engagement and negotiation with senior executives and C-suite decision-makers.
- Influencing colleagues across Alzheimer’s Society to unlock opportunities, develop ambitious propositions and embed a consistently commercial approach to partnership development.
- Defining and championing what excellent new partnership development looks like, positioning Alzheimer’s Society as a sector leader.
- Ensuring the team maintains a strong understanding of Environmental, Social and Governance priorities, market developments and emerging corporate trends, applying these insights to partnership strategy and proposition development.

About Alzheimer's Society - who are we and what’s our mission?
Dementia is the UK’s biggest killer. One in three people born in the UK today will develop dementia in their lifetime.

We give vital support to people facing the most frightening times of their lives, while also funding ground-breaking research and campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be.

Together with our supporters, we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives.

Our values make sure that our focus is clear for the challenges and opportunities ahead and remind us of what we all stand for.

Our commitment to Equity, Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging
We need to ensure the voices around our table better reflect and understand the communities we exist to serve.
