Supporter Led Fundraising Officer

Your mission

Reporting to the Supporter Led Fundraising Manager, you'll support and inspire people to fundraise for CALM in their own way, providing the tools, encouragement and support they need to make an impact and build a meaningful relationship with CALM.

Responsibilities
Supporter engagement & stewardship

• Provide excellent stewardship to CALM's Supporter Led fundraisers, acting as a fundraising coach to help people bring their ideas to life and make the most of their fundraising.
• Build and develop relationships with supporters across DIY, challenges, in memory, tribute and other Supporter Led fundraising, providing personalised and compassionate support throughout their journey with CALM.
• Ensure in memory and tribute supporters receive sensitive and appropriate stewardship, recognising the individual needs of people fundraising following a bereavement.
• Support with the development and delivery of supporter journeys, communications and fundraising materials, including through Marketing Cloud, to deepen engagement and build longer-term supporter relationships.
• Represent CALM at Supporter Led fundraising activities and events, helping to provide a brilliant experience for our supporters.

Fundraising growth & development

• Contribute to CALM's fundraising targets through excellent relationship management, identifying opportunities to grow income and deepen supporter relationships.
• Support activity to  engage and retain supporter led fundraisers, helping to identify and develop new fundraising opportunities.

Collaborative working

• Work closely with the Supporter Led Fundraising Manager, Lead and wider Fundraising team to deliver our objectives and support the continued development of Supporter Led Fundraising.
• Build strong relationships across CALM, working collaboratively to create joined up experiences and make the most of opportunities for our supporters.
• Keep up to date with fundraising trends and best practice, bringing ideas and learning into the team.
• Work flexibly as CALM continues to evolve Supporter Led fundraising. 

Your profile

Essential

• You have a good understanding of Supporter Led fundraising.
• You have experience of delivering excellent supporter care and building strong relationships.
• You are confident communicating with and supporting people who have been bereaved, approaching sensitive and emotional conversations with empathy, care and good judgement.
• You have experience of working with CRM databases and fundraising platforms
• You have experience of working towards and meeting financial targets.
• You are a confident and engaging communicator, both written and verbal.
• You have excellent organisational skills and can manage a busy and varied workload, prioritising effectively.
• You are comfortable working in an evolving environment and can adapt as priorities and ways of working develop.
• You understand the importance of using supporter insight and data to inform your work.
• You will be a positive ambassador for CALM, working in line with our values, policies and brand.
• You have experience working within a charity or fundraising environment.

Desirable

• You have experience of in memory or tribute fundraising, or working with people affected by bereavement.
• You have experience using a CRM and email marketing systems.
• You have experience working with fundraising platforms such as JustGiving and MuchLoved.
• You understand issues relating to mental health and suicide.
• You have an understanding of key fundraising regulations and compliance requirements, or experience applying these in a fundraising environment.

Contract: Permanent, full-time 
Benefits: Unlimited annual leave, Healthcare cash plan, 6% pension contribution, therapeutic services (after completion of probation), hybrid working & nine day fortnight
Based: London Waterloo twice a week (Wednesdays and Thursdays) / Remote Working (Mon, Tues & Fri), 9.30am - 5.30pm.
Salary: £30k - £33k per annum. We benchmark our salaries to ensure our pay structure remains fair, transparent, and equitable for everyone in our team.
