Amnesty International UK (AIUK) has a simple aim: an end to human rights abuses. Independent, international and influential, we campaign for justice, fairness, freedom and truth wherever they are denied. If you want to use your skills, knowledge, and experience to be successful in this role, you could be our new People Team Administrator.


About the role

You will be joining a dedicated and passionate People and Culture Department who pride themselves in supporting the organisation with all people related needs, with a responsive and approachable service. This will range from overseeing the end to end recruitment and onboarding procedure to processing monthly payroll changes and reporting. This role plays an integral part of ensuring we meet people's needs by acting as a first point of contact to all AIUK colleague queries which cover the full employee lifecycle and escalating issues when needed. You will also support on general People activities such as learning, wellbeing and engagement.

The role may be for you if:

  • You have a strong interest, and a basic understanding of Human Resources principles but specific experience in a HR role is not necessary.
  • Your organisation and prioritisation skills will allow you to work flexibly between different tasks smoothly.
  • You collaborate and positively contribute to an inclusive culture as well as communicate with tact and clarity.
  • You'll have experience of a variety of administration tasks, including using database system.
