We are working exclusively with Barnardo’s who are looking to hire a Deputy Director - Relationship Fundraising. Barnardo’s is the UK’s largest children’s charity and their mission is to make children and young people feel safe, happy, healthy and hopeful. As the Deputy Director - Relationship Fundraising you will lead the strategic development and delivery of relationship fundraising across Barnardo’s. You will be responsible for leading a team to generate £15m income and you will manage five direct reports.

The Deputy Director - Relationship Fundraising role brings all of Barnardo’s relationship fundraising disciplines under one leadership. It is an exciting time to join the charity as they launch a new strategy and undergo a rebrand. There is huge scope to significantly increase the engagement, support and income that Barnardo’s receives from philanthropists, trusts, foundations and companies and we are looking for someone who will drive excellence and be an excellent leader.

To be successful in the role of Deputy Director you will need experience in: 

  • Leading the development of strategies, budgets and plans for relationship fundraising teams
  • Leading a fundraising function, inspiring your team to deliver optimal performance and income growth
  • Collaborating with senior leaders across charitable organisations, to ensure the delivery of shared aims and objectives

Salary: £73,500 - £75,400 plus Office at Home Allowance (£312 per annum)
Contract: Permanent – full or part time will be considered 
Location: Hybrid working based from any UK Barnardo’s hub – remote considered
