We are seeking a flexible, reliable, and enthusiastic Support Worker to deliver services for Young Carers aged 5–16. The role involves three key parts. The first is delivering engaging, age-appropriate activities that promote wellbeing, reduce isolation, and give Young Carers a break from their responsibilities. The second is providing one-to-one support to help Young Carers manage challenges, access services, and prioritise their mental and emotional wellbeing. The third is leading outreach with schools, colleges, community settings and professionals to identify and engage hidden Young Carers. 

About The Role: 

You will work across two key age groups, 5–11 and 12–16, delivering and supervising activities, supporting events and trips, and providing behavioural management where needed. Alongside group activities, you will offer one-to-one support to individual Young Carers, ensuring they feel heard, included, and supported as they navigate the challenges of their caring roles. You will also deliver awareness training sessions, run stalls, and build partnerships in the community to identify and engage Young Carers. 

This is a part-time post (3 days per week). Flexibility is required, with regular evening and occasional weekend work.

Westway Trust is looking for a dedicated and reliable experienced Cleaning Operative to provide supervised access to the new public toilets located on Acklam Road, next to Portobello Market. The primary responsibility of the Cleaning Operative will be to ensure the facility and its surroundings are maintained to a high standard, checked regularly and kept clean, secure and inviting to users at all times. The secondary part to this role is to publicise the Trust’s activities that take place on the Trust’s 23 acres of land in North Kensington by distributing information and leaflets to the members of the public who use or pass by the toilet facilities and the surrounding area. 

The role requires someone with a good physical stamina, who is friendly and a confident communicator with an energetic approach to work, and will be fully committed to achieving a consistent standard of cleanliness and appearance throughout the facility.

This is a part-time role of up to 30 hours per week. Working patterns will be discussed at the interview stage.

Key responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:

• To open and lock the facility and return the key to the Trust’s offices.
• Effectively and efficiently manage the access control system.
• To ensure that all toilet cubicles (toilets seats, pans, urinals, basins and door furniture) are clean and fit-for use.

THE ROLE

We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Finance and Administration Manager to lead on developing and maintaining our financial and organisational systems, enabling Makani to increase our impact on the lives of refugee women. 

Position: Finance and Administration Manager

KEY ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Finance

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

You will have:

• Proven experience in charity financial management, including restricted/unrestricted funding

• Familiarity with UK charity accounting and reporting standards

• Strong organisational and administrative skills

• Ability to work independently and remotely and to communicate well in a small team

• Understanding of good HR policies and practice for small charities

Resurrection Trading (known as Resurrection Furniture) is a vibrant friendly charity shop in Alton High Street specialising in recycled second hand furniture and home goods. We need an efficient organiser to lead our team of volunteers, manage the office and bring a creative flair to display and sales.

About us
We opened in Alton in 2017 and in 2022 moved to larger premises at 21b High Street. The charity is linked to the Parish of the Resurrection. All profits from the shop go to good causes in Alton, especially to support youth related projects, people in need, heritage buildings and the community.

The shop is a busy, friendly place supported by a skilled team of repairers in the workshop and a lively band of drivers and lifters on the van. In total we have more than 50 volunteers and the charity is led by a team of Trustees. The shop is open 10 to 4pm Monday to Saturday.

Job Summary
The Manager’s role is typical for a retail high street shop except that there is no head office or back up staff - the manager and volunteers between them carry out all functions. These include:
Daily office administration - communications especially daily emails, Facebook messages and phone calls re furniture donations and sales, discussions with volunteers.
Coordination of volunteers including induction training, support and leadership,
Organising donations – selection, collection, pricing, display and delivery.
Shop organisation, administration and reporting to Trustees including publicity
 

Key Responsibilities:

Office Administration
• Deal promptly with shop communications via telephone, emails, Facebook and in person each day relating to donations, sales, and messages from volunteers
• Maintain data including personnel and customer information, finance and other record keeping.
• Manage the system of agreeing furniture donations, arranging collections from and deliveries to homes around Alton and booking slots on the van.
• Order shop supplies and maintain health and safety systems
• Manage gift aid documentation and other notices.

Volunteer Coordination
• Manage the volunteer rota ensuring that the shop is staffed by two to three volunteers including a lead volunteer per shift six days per week.

Managing donations and sales

• Ensure the shop is full of a wide range of items with back up stock kept in the store offsite.
• Promote donations via estate agents, care homes, general publicity and regular house clearances

Shop organisation
• Arrange for regular updating of shop and window displays
• Keep the shop and workshop clean and a safe environment
• Ensure that volunteers follow RF policies and procedures
• Ensure good customer relations including dealing with complaints

Details of the role You’ll play a leading role in ensuring our most generous donors receive a best-in-class donor experience.

Using your strong project management skills, you’ll take responsibility for the delivery of bespoke donor experience activity for a portfolio of donors each giving £1 million+ to the University. You’ll ensure that the right processes, systems and relationships are in place for the effective management of our largest gifts. This will include liaising with colleagues across the University, monitoring progress against milestones, actively identifying and mitigating risks, and coordinating gift boards or groups to make sure we fulfil our commitments to our donors.

You will work closely and collaboratively with fundraising leads and will be their donor experience advisor on strengthening and developing the relationships with prospects/donors. You’ll proactively plan, design and deliver donor experience activity for transformational donors. You’ll use your creativity and knowledge of best practice to develop inspiring stewardship plans that deepen donors’ relationship with us. And – by building strong working relationships with beneficiary teams across the University – you’ll find new ways to ensure donors are made aware of the incredible impact they’re having.

As a member of our Donor Experience team, you’ll play an essential role in providing strategic support and consultancy to colleagues across the Division of Development and Alumni Relations and beyond. Your work will have a significant impact on our donors and the many people whose lives are touched by their gifts.

Summary

The National Safeguarding Team supports churches, dioceses, religious communities, cathedrals and other Church bodies to make the Church of England a safer Church for all. It aspires to be a centre of excellence for safeguarding that creates a consistent culture of safety, trust and respect across the Church and beyond. The team is responsible for oversight of the Church's safeguarding policy, as well as safeguarding learning and development. The team manage complex and high-profile safeguarding casework, including that relating to senior clergy. Team members oversee the provision of support to victims and survivors of abuse, as well as supervising and quality assuring regional networks of safeguarding professionals. The team is supported by a Programme Office and a highly skilled business support team.

The purpose of this role is to support the Contract Management team to provide oversight, management and reporting and manage supplier relationships for all supplier contracts in the National Safeguarding Team.

• The postholder will be expected to come into Church House Westminster approximately 1 day per week

• This is a fixed term contract for 5 years

You’ll lead on building and delivering our strategy for major donors and corporates, cultivating long-term partnerships rooted in shared values. Working closely with our Chief Executive, senior leadership team and trustees on major donor and corporate fundraising, and with our Communications Lead on fundraising communications and campaigns, you’ll shape compelling approaches to inspire support. You’ll also line manage our Fundraising Officer (grant funding & events), helping diversify Z2K’s income to change lives and challenge injustice. This is a hands-on role with plenty of scope to shape your approach. You’ll lead on identifying new prospects, crafting compelling proposals, and making the case for support to a wide range of external audiences. 

You’re a strategic relationship-builder who thrives on finding and forging connections that deliver lasting impact. You bring a track record of securing income from major donors and corporates, whether in the charity sector as through a business development function in the private sector. You know that successful fundraising starts with research, curiosity, and consistent cultivation. You’re confident identifying new prospects, opening doors, and developing tailored approaches that speak to both hearts and minds.

You’ll be part of a collaborative, values-led team, and your work will directly contribute to our ability to improve lives and push for systemic change.
