The Research & Information Officer will play a crucial role in gathering, analysing, and disseminating information to support Bone Cancer Research Trust’s research activities and patient information resources.

Research is a key priority for the Charity and the people who support it. Since 2006, Bone Cancer Research Trust have committed over £12 million on research to advance the understanding of primary bone cancer and developing new and more effective treatments. Communicating our research investment is vitally important and will form an essential part of this role. This may take the form of written updates, verbal updates, or presentations and may be to both scientific and non-scientific audiences.

The Research & Information Officer will also assist in research impact reporting and should be comfortable undertaking literature reviews along with gathering evidence and data from scientific publications and other useful sources for use in reports and patient resources.

Role Overview

Following a recent rebrand and the launch of a full-funnel sales and marketing strategy, Teacher Development Trust are looking for an experienced and proactive Marketing Manager to join our values-driven education charity on a 6-month fixed-term contract.

You will lead key delivery areas of the marketing function, focusing on planning, running and evaluating effective, segmented email campaigns, creating compelling assets, building trust through social proof and coordinating our presence at events. This role is hands-on, delivery-focused, and designed to help accelerate our reach and engagement with schools, partners, and the wider education sector in both the short and longer term. Generating quality leads and nurturing to conversion is the objective. The ability to apply previous marketing experience with confidence at pace is essential.

Key Responsibilities

Email Campaign Management

• Design and implement segmented email marketing campaigns that generate leads and drive nurture, conversion and engagement

• Collaborate with the wider team on content planning and audience targeting to support both brand and programme recruitment campaigns

• Monitor and report on performance; continuously test and improve subject lines, content, and CTAs and improve MQL generation and quality

Social Proof & Case Study Development

• Identify and secure testimonials, quotes, and stories from partners and participants

• Create and manage a bank of social proof materials to support sales and marketing campaigns

• Collaborate with delivery and research teams to gather impactful data and insights
   

Event Marketing

• Plan and coordinate TDT’s presence at national and regional events

• Manage pre-event promotion and post-event follow-up to support lead generation

• Coordinate logistics and event materials in collaboration with relevant colleagues
   

Campaign & Asset Development

• Lead the creation of on-brand marketing assets (e.g. brochures, presentations, case studies, leaflets, reports)

• Work with internal and external content creators to maintain high visual and editorial standards

• Ensure consistent brand tone and alignment across all materials
   

Collaboration & Coordination

• Work closely with the Director of Partnerships & Impact and other colleagues to ensure alignment with strategic goals

• Coordinate effectively with colleagues in Partnerships & Impact Team, Design & Delivery Team, and Operations Team to ensure a seamless customer journey

• Support the School Engagement Manager and Marketing and Recruitment Officer with content and campaign execution, including back up support for wordpress and social media

Who We're Looking For

• Proven experience in a marketing or communications role, ideally within a purpose-led or education-focused organisation, is essential

• Strong content and asset creation skills, confident briefing designers and writers as needed

• Experience co-ordinating, planning and running multi-touch, concurrent email marketing campaigns (Mailchimp, HubSpot, GMass or similar)

• Excellent organisational and project management skills; comfortable juggling multiple deadlines

• Ability to build relationships across teams and with external partners

• Comfortable working autonomously and taking ownership of projects from start to finish

• Bonus: experience with events and content production in a nonprofit or education setting

The Trust is seeking a Fundraising Director to run the day-to-day operations of our small and successful charity, alongside our existing Director of Operations, starting 1 September 2025, or as soon as possible thereafter.

Strategic Financial Leadership

About the role:

The Floating Support Worker will specialise in working with women for whom housing, and risk of tenancy breakdown is a priority. You will provide specialist housing and domestic abuse support to women aged 18 and over. The accommodation needs of the women you support will require you to advocate and support for each woman efficiently and empathically, whilst liaising with providers and stakeholders to ensure her accommodation needs are met. The role is dynamic and requires the post holder to respond to women with effective crisis intervention, advocacy and support. They will be required to coordinate the provision of multiagency support which focuses on working with clients to maintain their tenancies and prevent homelessness. The post holder will establish positive, proactive, and innovative working relationships with housing services and partner agencies.

The Floating Support Worker will ensure that the women survivors views and needs inform every stage of the process, and so the post holder will be empathic, empowering and able to advocate for women. You will also share your learning with your team, Advance and other stakeholders to ensure best practice is consistently achieved.

Working as part of a team of Floating Support Workers, you will make proactive contact and provide high quality non-judgemental advocacy and support based upon a client led needs and risk assessment. You will be responsible for a number of women at a time and you will be their designated and consistent support worker. You will also support women and referrers at the first stage of referral by completing assessments and providing crisis intervention support as part of a ‘duty’ team with designated days for you to do this.

The Floating Support Worker will have an excellent understanding of domestic violence and its effects on women and children and of best practice within the domestic abuse and the housing sectors. As an experienced domestic abuse advocate who has worked with complex and multiple needs, you will be skilled in risk management and safety planning, remaining calm in a crisis and in handling sensitive information appropriately.

Experience of supporting female survivors of domestic violence with housing and accommodation needs, in partnership with other organisations, and of safeguarding procedures is essential for this post.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

· Create effective working partnerships with housing service providers and the local council to promote the Floating Support Worker Service

· Provide information, guidance and support to referral stakeholders to enable them to identify women at risk of and experiencing domestic violence, enabling them to confidently respond and refer women to the service. This may include delivery of briefings and information sessions to upskill housing workers. To continuously build awareness of the service and confidence of stakeholders in order to ensure women in need are identified and supported

· Effectively support a number of women at any one time, undertaking case management activities such as excellent assessments, action planning, referrals, and record keeping

· Conduct comprehensive assessments of needs and risk for women experiencing domestic violence, carry out short- and longer-term risk management, safety planning and support; and identify and refer to services appropriate to their needs, including attendance at specialist/dedicated courts and MARAC as required

· Develop and deliver support plans that include delivery of high-quality face to face or telephone crisis intervention, information, advocacy and support, in respect to criminal and civil remedies, housing, health, welfare rights, children’s legislation and other appropriate interventions. Ensure that focus on safe tenancy sustainment and homelessness prevention underpins all work

· Advise women of their rights and options for seeking help and support from other agencies, making referrals and co-ordinating the provision of multi-agency support where necessary, and proactively advocate ensuring barriers to accessing support and protection are minimised

· Proactively assess the needs and safety of any children that women using the service may have, ensure that any risks/needs identified are addressed directly with the woman, and take appropriate action to safeguard them

· Proactively assess the needs and safety of women at risk proactively following Adult at Risk policies and procedures

· Participate in multi-agency conferences in respect of children and adults at risk as required, providing reports and undertaking actions as necessary

· Ensure all monitoring and evaluation for each woman, all cases and the project overall is accurate and up to date. Work in partnership with your team and the Advance Insights and Evidence team to ensure all reporting requirements are met. Highlight issues and successes in a timely manner

· Ensure that agreed case recording and monitoring systems are kept up to date and secure, and write internal and external reports where required, including for safeguarding conferences, team meetings, managers and other appropriate partners and stakeholders

· Participate in multi-agency working and focus groups when requested to do so and follow through on agreed appropriate actions that arise from these

· Work effectively as a member of your own team and as a team member of Advance supporting all organisational objectives

· Work in partnership with housing staff and provide institutional advocacy to maximise positive outcomes and use the appropriate reporting mechanisms to highlight persistent or recurring issues that arise

· Be responsible for your own personal learning development and keep up to date on research, relevant legislation, policy and practice, and other literature relevant to the role

· Participate in supervision, training and meetings as required, and assist in the development of services in line with agreed development plans

Children and Young People Support Worker (Connected and Adoption Alliance, North Wales)

An average of 25 hours a week, worked flexibly to meet service needs

You will work a mixture of evening work (2-3 x 2 hour evening sessions per week), plus one full weekend per month, with the rest of your hours worked flexibly during the week. Generally, you will work  between 20-25 hours most weeks, with one week per month requiring you to work 35 hours (this includes the full weekend hours).

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

•To support the delivery of ‘Connected’ and monthly meetings for children and young people, and the Adoption Alliance Project (which is supported by the National Lottery Community Fund)

•To work closely with the Connected Lead Worker and the Adoption Alliance Lead to support and enable young, adopted people in North Wales to participate fully; and to support the delivery of both projects and for children and young people to participate using either Welsh or English language as they choose.

•To support the Lead Worker to run Connected sessions, and help facilitate young people’s involvement in making change in the way adopted young people are treated in education settings through the Adoption Alliance project. 

•To support the Children and Young People Service Manager in delivering other aspects of the CONNECT Service, such as supporting delivery of Adoption Awareness Training; creating content for the CONNECT website; and supporting the CONNECT Voices Youth Council.

•Partners will include the North Wales Adoption Service, National Adoption Service, the Education Departments of each of the 6 local authorities across North Wales, and ESTYN. 

MAIN DUTIES

•To work with the Connected Lead Worker/Adoption Alliance Lead to deliver Connected sessions and Adoption Alliance services across North Wales, and in particular to assist with the groups and support young people to achieve their goals.

•To provide support to the development, delivery, and promotion of both services, including planning of an annual programme of group sessions and activities for delivery, and purchasing and preparing resources.

•To support the Connected Lead Worker/Adoption Alliance Lead in undertaking the processing of referrals and initial engagement with young people. 

•To support the the Connected Lead Worker/Adoption Alliance Lead to work with the young people and their families to establish whether the service is appropriate for them; and to agree measurable outcomes in line with the guidance provided for the Regulated and Inspection Social Care 2016 Act for adoption services.

•To support the Connected Lead Worker/Adoption Alliance Lead to maintain agreed levels of contact with young people and their adoptive family, as long as they remain registered with the services.

•To work closely with the Connected Lead Worker/Adoption Alliance Lead to book venues, take bookings for sessions/training, and gather output and outcome data from the project.

•To support the creation and review of individual support plans for children and young people, session plans and  risk assessments, and to input these onto our data system

•To support young people who wish to have their voices heard, in national and regional forums.

•To demonstrate a willingness to learn and to participate in regular reflective practice sessions, to enhance skills and service delivery

The Supporter Journey Officer is a new role within the Supporter Journey team. This role will suit a proactive team player who has experience in the fundraising sector together with a keen interest in, and knowledge of, supporter experience and stewardship. Strong communication skills – both written and verbal - are a must.

About the role

As the Supporter Journey Officer, you will assist the Supporter Journey Manager with the development and elevation of an integrated supporter journey programme at Versus Arthritis, ensuring our contactable community receives a consistent and highly engaging supporter experience, which builds loyalty and inspires action. 

This will include delivery of audience focused, integrated organisational journeys that build on our highly motivated community of supporters, based on shared values. These journeys will be managed across our platforms and audiences to significantly grow our voluntary income and lifetime value. You will be responsible for the delivery of communications across channels, including email, post and text messaging, ensuring accurate and timely implementation of agreed communications.

Central to increasing loyalty and inspiring positive action from our audience, we share the extent of the work being done by Versus Arthritis for the 10 million people in the UK living with arthritis. Alongside product managers, you will work to optimise in-product journeys across the organisation through consultancy and shared learning. You will work collaboratively with the head of department and other directorate colleagues to create and embed a fundraising and engagement culture across the organisation.

A key part of the role is to provide practical, administrative support and to lead on facilitating the collection of insight evaluation and future development, ensuring this supports team performance and learning. We’re a small and dynamic team at the forefront of innovating the charity’s Income and Engagement directorate.

This is a pivotal moment for FAST as the need for our work has expanded due to more young people falling into poverty and struggling in schools. Whilst capacity is a challenge with 60% cut in public youth programmes over the last decade (YMCA 2020). We are still growing strong and are able to work with 300 young people annually. However, our desire is to continue this work of establishing and growing a healthy youth organisation that provides excellent & vibrant youth work that makes a difference to young people’s lives and produces healthy staff that are equipped and empowered to do the job they love. Working Well Trust is a mental health and employment charity in London.  All of our projects share the aim of improving the lives of people with mental health support needs, learning disabilities and/or complex issues through training and employment. 

We are recruiting Employment Advisors to join our IPS service, you will be based in Enfield, working 35 hours per week. The service has been awarded the IPS Grow quality mark and adheres closely to the principles of the IPS model in supporting people in to employment. This role will be working with clients who have mental health support needs, wanting to gain paid employment. 

Experience of employment support is not essential, it is more important that you share our passion and commitment to employment as an integral aspect of wellbeing and supporting people to find the right job for them. You will receive training on the IPS model and in supporting people with mental health issues. We welcome applications from people with lived experience of mental health, either personally or through a close contact.

You need to have a desire to support people to achieve their employment goals, and the ability to multitask and manage your workload effectively. Good organisation skills are essential for this role, in addition to an interest in mental health, and the role it plays in the workplace. The successful candidate will need to become comfortable in approaching employers, and showcase the advantages of our service in order to work with them to recruit our clients to fill vacancies and sustain employment.

You will work with clients (managing a caseload) who have mental health support needs, to assist them in securing sustainable paid employment in line with their preferences. You will deliver the IPS approach (for which training will be given); providing person centred support and guidance to clients, whilst building positive relationships with local employers to enable clients to move into suitable employment.

You will work as part of a mental health team (NHS Trust) maintaining positive and integrated relationships, fostering a holistic approach to recovery through employment. You will work closely with clinical teams, providing a coordinated approach that always remains client led.  You will also be working to targets whilst maintaining a high-quality service.
