Job description

Are you a passionate and committed Social Worker looking to make a real difference in the lives of children and young people? Join Barnardo's Midlands Fostering Families and become part of a supportive, values-driven team that is dedicated to helping children thrive in safe, nurturing foster homes.

This exciting role will primarily support foster families across the South East region, providing high-quality supervision, support and guidance to foster carers. While the role is regionally based, occasional travel to the Midlands will be required for team meetings, training and service events.

As a Fostering Social Worker, you will play a vital role in recruiting, assessing, supervising and developing foster carers, ensuring children receive outstanding care and support. Working in partnership with local authorities and multi-agency professionals, you will help create positive outcomes for children and young people, enabling them to reach their full potential.

We are looking for a qualified Social Worker who is passionate about relationship-based practice, has excellent communication skills, and is committed to delivering high-quality fostering services. Experience within fostering, children's social care or looked after children services is desirable.

In return, Barnardo's offers a flexible hybrid working model, opportunities for professional development, access to a wide range of employee benefits, and the chance to work within one of the UK's leading children's charities.

Join us and help transform children's lives through fostering.
