Job Purpose:

This role will be hosted and contracted by one of the members of the Big Six: WAGGGS. Girl Guiding and Girl Scouting is the world's only movement for every and any girl. WAGGGS is the organisation that keeps the Girl Guide and Girl Scout Movement thriving, united and growing. This role operates within the context of a volunteer-led global charitable organisation with 153 Member Organisations.

About the Role:

With responsibility for delivery of Outcome 2 of the Youth Empowerment Fund, this role will deliver initiatives relating to capacity building, youth-led advocacy and events and will sit within the GYM-YEF project coordination team under the supervision of the Project Coordination Leadership team.

This position will work closely with Big Six representatives to deliver Capacity building initiatives to YEF awardees, Youth Panellists, and the Global Youth Mobilization GYM Network and be responsible for ensuring coordinated efforts across the project.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage the implementation of the capacity building for the Youth Empowerment Fund of GYM 

2. Collaborate with Big Six Designated Leads in the coordination of the capacity building offer and work plan 

3. Manage relationship with designated project Capacity Building leads in each of the Big Six in activating their national organizations/societies/operators in the YEF 

4. Monitor the Capacity Building project budgets and prepare relevant reports for governance and donors, supporting the MEL officer.

5. Oversee development of advocacy guidance and production of policy recommendations follow up on use of resources following events.

6. Support the development and roll out of the GYM-YEF Network, for peer-peer learning, capacity building opportunities and collecting useful resources for young people’s personal and professional development. 

7. Support the GYM youth-led advocacy objectives and long-term partnerships.

8. Contribute to the staff activities of WAGGGS, participating in staff sharing days, Global Programmes Team departmental meetings and activities and other activities as appropriate.

Manchester Mind has worked with Greater Manchester Mental Health Trust for a number of years to deliver roles within Community Mental Health Teams in Manchester. Social Workers are a vital part of the team and we are advertising for two roles in different teams within Manchester. The post-holders will work within integrated, multi-disciplinary teams employed by Manchester Mind but managed on a day to day basis by Greater Manchester Mental Health Trust.

As a Social Worker, you are a crucial member of the team. You would be proactively supporting and care coordinating a caseload of people with mental health problems and

complex needs.

The two full-time roles would be within the North CMHT and the South Mersey CMHT.

The role of Hospitality Marketing Officer (HMO) focuses on all aspects of traditional and digital marketing activity, both B2B and B2C, in support of some key commercial activities of the commercial trading company RWL (on-site retail and catering, The Five Arrows Hotel, and The Bow Pub).

What you will do:

The Hospitality Marketing Officer is a part-time role of three days a week supporting the marketing of onsite catering and retail operations of Waddesdon Manor, The Bow pub and the Five Arrows Hotel. The role also contributes to Waddesdon Manor and RWL (commercial trading) overall marketing and online strategy, and supports its brand and positioning by working closely with colleagues across both the hospitality and visitor operation.

You’ll develop and implement creative marketing campaigns to promote and increase sales for the following areas of the trading company’s business:

· The Five Arrows Hotel

· The Bow Pub

· Wine at Waddesdon (both wine sales and wine related events)

· Waddesdon online shop (predominantly wine)

· Afternoon teas and special food events in Waddesdon’s Manor Restaurant

The Hospitality Marketing Officer makes a visible impact on the weekly sales results, monthly profit and loss results and in terms of positive customer feedback.

Key responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Input to develop marketing strategies and implement plans to meet commercial targets for hospitality and visitor attraction businesses, in particular supporting increased on-site spend in the Waddesdon catering outlets, including the Five Arrows Hotel and The Bow pub.
• Manage development and update of websites for the Five Arrows and Bow and details of catering and wine events at the Manor.
• Develop strategic marketing campaigns for the Five Arrows Hotel’s core businesses, including bedrooms, restaurant and bar.
• Develop strategic marketing campaigns for the Bow Pub’s core businesses, including restaurant and bar.
• Develop the online wine business including the Waddesdon Wine Club.
• Manage marketing campaigns using the full marketing mix across online and offline channels.
• Manage external suppliers including design, production and distribution of marketing materials and commissioning photography.
• Use a CRM database and email software to effectively manage communications.
• Monitor the outcomes of marketing activity and evaluate against plans, contributing to monthly reports. 
• Monitor competitor activity to ensure we are learning and evolving to become as relevant and engaging as possible.
• Contribute to marketing budget management and assist with forward planning in liaison with the managers of each business area.
• Work closely with the wider marketing team and all Waddesdon colleagues, sharing news on activity, to ensure that opportunities are maximised.

About you

This role requires experience of assisting in managing a shop including knowledge of retail and health and safety legislation and administrative/cash handling experience.

You will also have an ability to deal with customers and maintaining a high level of customer service, have good verbal, written communication skills, as well as being comfortable using IT and EPOS reporting. You will have an ability to motivate yourself and others, have excellent organisational skills and be comfortable working under pressure and dealing with changing priorities.  Please note you must also be willing and available to work flexibly across 7 days per week according to a rota which will be agreed in advance with your manager.

You will be part of a policy and practice network across the Fund, working collaboratively with colleagues across the UK to develop One-Fund approaches to our missions.

About you and the role

This is a pivotal role, at a pivotal moment for us. We are entering a critical growth phase, which includes rapidly expanding our own operations and managing significant external partnership. As Head of Finance & Systems, you will be accountable for ensuring we have the right systems and structures in place to grow at pace without detriment to good governance.

The purpose of this role is to lead on our finance strategy, and ensure all of our systems, reporting and processes are helping to drive forward the charity and deliver on our objectives at scale. You will work closely with the Chief Executive and Directors to ensure that financial planning is effective and supported by accurate data analysis. You will report directly to Trustees as required and ensure that the highest standards of transparency and probity are maintained. 

You will be joining the team during a period of growth in the size and complexity of our delivery. We currently have 24 employees and anticipate growing significantly in the next twelve months. You will have a crucial role in shaping our systems and processes to ensure we can scale effectively, both our existing programmes and a new membership-based programme that is in development. We’re looking for an experienced finance professional with an interest in effectively using technology and systems to drive efficiency, without compromising on accuracy or compliance. 

You will oversee all financial administration, ensuring this is carried out proficiently and in line with all legal and regulatory requirements, including ultimate responsibility for ensuring that all statutory filings are made accurately and on time. Your role will also encompass ensuring that we operate within legal & regulatory frameworks and stay up to date with changes in relevant legislation.

Key responsibilities:

• Developing a comprehensive financial strategy that supports the delivery of the charity’s objectives and activities

• Developing our systems strategy, including reviewing suitability of our current systems (Quickbooks for accountancy, Beacon CRM, PLEO for expenses management, Survey Monkey for data collection etc. ) and ensuring optimal use of systems, maximising automation, and using AI where appropriate.

• Oversight of finance, governance and basic HR administration, supporting the Finance and Office Manager with high profile or complex queries, seeking specialist advice on financial or compliance matters as required

• Ensuring GDPR compliance across the organisation

• Leading an effective risk management process.

• Ensuring the organisation’s compliance with charity law, in accordance with the Charity Commission in England & Wales and all financial reporting requirements.

Skills & experience:

• You have interest and belief in our mission, to improve kids’ health through improving food and food education in schools

• You have full or partial qualification through an accredited accountancy body 

• You have experience in a senior finance role (e.g., Director, Head of) in any sector, and some experience within a finance function in the 3rd sector (in particular familiarity with Charities SORP and experience of administering restricted funds).

• You enjoy a mix of leadership and rolling up sleeves to get hands on 

• You take a pragmatic and dynamic approach to robust financial management

The Head of Service Development is a crucial role for the organisation. As a member of the senior leadership team, with responsibility for our client facing services, this role is key to ensuring that our services remain relevant, accessible and of the highest possible quality for people in York who are experiencing difficulties with their mental health.

About the Service

Our Solace Advocacy Support Service (SASS) teams provide advocacy and support to survivors of domestic and sexual abuse living across London. We are recruiting two IDVA positions in our new Redbridge team.  

About the role

The successful candidate will be responsible for risk and needs assessing and safety planning with survivors of domestic violence. They will hold a caseload of service users identified as high-risk requiring crisis short-term intervention, providing advice, advocacy, and onward referral where appropriate.

About You

We're looking for highly organised and self-motivated applicants who are passionate about ending gender-based violence. You will have a “can-do‟ approach and demonstrable commitment to Solace’s feminist approach to supporting women and their children to be safer. Successful applicants will have in-depth knowledge of domestic abuse and its impact on service users and their children, experience of supporting survivor’s domestic and/or sexual abuse including strong casework management skills.

The Waltham Forest SASS team provides advocacy and support to survivors of domestic abuse living in Waltham Forest. An exciting opportunity has arisen in this busy team for a Senior IDVA.

About the Role

A unique and exciting opportunity has arisen to work as a Senior Housing IDVA for Solace co-located in Waltham Forest Housing Department. As the Senior Housing IDVA you will provide immediate support for victim/survivors of abuse attending housing including carrying out risk and needs assessments, safety planning and providing short-term support and onward referral. In addition, you will act as the housing lead for Solace in Waltham Forest, providing advice and guidance to Solace staff and Waltham Forest housing professionals.

The Senior Housing IDVA will also hold line management responsibility. The Senior Housing IDVA will hold a caseload of cases with complex housing issues for short-term support.

You will be working as part of a multidisciplinary team and collaborating with external agencies in your work.

About You

We are seeking highly organised, self-driven individuals who are passionate about ending violence against women and girls (VAWG) and homelessness. Applicants should have a proactive attitude and a strong commitment to Solace’s feminist approach in supporting women and their children toward safety. Training and support will be provided as needed for this role.

We are seeking candidates with a deep understanding of domestic abuse and its effects on women and children. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience providing both emotional and practical support to survivors of violence against women and girls (VAWG). A thorough knowledge of housing options and associated legislation is essential. Candidates should hold a relevant qualification in VAWG or be willing to undertake accredited training. Previous experience in supervising staff or volunteers is also required.
