About us

This role is part of a brand-new service which is being delivered across Liverpool and will provide dedicated energy and welfare support to individuals who are vulnerable and in or at risk of fuel poverty.

As Energy Adviser, you will provide a multi-channel advice service, including home visits, to fuel poor and vulnerable consumers who are struggling to pay their bills or require better deals on energy. That advice will include:

• guidance on the most appropriate payment methods.
• information on how to access help from energy suppliers.
• energy efficiency measures and ways to save on bills.
• information about Smart Meters.
• maximising benefit and other income.

About the Role

Advice Giving

• Deliver a multi-channel advice service, including home visits, to clients regarding their energy needs and income maximisation support, ensuring advice provided meets the requirements of Citizens Advice quality standards.
• Ensure all case recording and other record keeping is completed within agreed timescales and conforms to the Office Manual and the Advice Quality Standards
• Use sensitive listening and questioning skills in order to allow clients to explain their problem(s) and to identify the next course of action.
• Use a range of information sources to find relevant information, then interpret and communicate this to clients, enabling them to tackle fuel poverty and financial hardship for the long-term.
• Assist clients with other related problems where they are an integral part of their case and refer internally or to other specialist agencies as appropriate.
• Meet the individual performance targets set as part of this project.

Research & Campaigning

• Take an active role in the research and campaigns process by identifying trends and social policy issues and communicating these to the Project Supervisor and Research & Campaigns Co-ordinator.
• Keep up to date with current research and campaigns priorities, initiatives and plans.

Administration

• Collect and record all relevant information given during interviews on to Casebook to meet the monitoring and evaluation requirements of the project.
• Be self-administering and undertake general administration tasks e.g. taking messages; photocopying, collating, filing; processing post etc.
• Professional development
• Pass the City and Guilds NEA Level Energy Awareness exam within 2 months of starting the role.
• Keep up to date with relevant energy advice issues and maintain an up to date working knowledge of all new relevant legislation through:
• Attending training opportunities.
• Reading monthly subscriptions, relevant publications and Citizens Advice Updates.
• Prepare for and attend supervision sessions/team meetings/staff meetings/forums, as appropriate.
• Identify and implement your own learning and development needs.

Other duties and responsibilities

• If required, work from a variety of Citizens Advice Liverpool outlets across the city as required over the course of the week.
• Promote the aims, policies, and membership requirements of the Citizens Advice service.
• Ensure all processes and procedures that relate to the responsibilities of the role are delivered with a high level of awareness of the organisation’s equality and diversity ethos and policies.
• Be a positive ambassador for Citizens Advice Liverpool.
• Abide by health and safety guidelines and share responsibility for own safety and that of colleagues.
• You will also need to have passed the City and Guilds NEA Level Energy Awareness exam within 2 months of starting the role.

Essential

The Organisation

The Winchester Diocesan Board of Finance (WDBF) is a Charitable Company established under the Diocesan Boards of Finance Measure 1925. All dioceses of the Church of England are required to have a Diocesan Board of Finance (DBF) to act as the link between the episcopal, synodical, and secular governance and leadership structures.

The Data and Statistics Analysist will play a vital role in supporting the parishes and communities of our Diocese through the collection, analysis, and management of data and statistics in connection with congregations, finances, and community impact. This role requires a highly organised and detail-oriented individual with a passion for data management and a commitment to using information to inform decision-making and strategic planning within the diocese.

Job purpose:

The External Affairs Manager will work closely with the Director and provide vital support to NACCOM and its members by: 

• Ensuring the strategic planning, management and alignment of communications, policy, research, campaigns, and advocacy as part of the External Affairs function at NACCOM. 

• Ensuring NACCOM’s external affairs functions feed from and into our network development work and our Community Ambassador / Research programme 

• Growing and safeguarding NACCOM’s brand identity, integrity and strategic positioning across all our external channels, networks and audiences. 

• Line-managing and supporting the Policy and Research Co-ordinator, Community Research Facilitator and part-time Communications Co-ordinator (currently covered by a freelancer) as well as managing any external consultants NACCOM works with across the External Affairs function.

Working Well Trust is a mental health and employment charity in London.  All of our projects share the aim of improving the lives of people with mental health support needs, learning disabilities and/or complex issues through training and employment. 

We are recruiting Employment Advisors to join our IPS service, you will be based in the Tower Hamlets team, working 35 hours per week and co-located in a mental health treatment team within the Borough. This service was awarded the IPS Grow quality mark and 'Good' Fidelity in 2023 and adheres closely to the principles of the IPS model in supporting people in to employment. This role will be working with clients who have mental health support needs, wanting to gain paid employment. 

There are currently both permenant and fixed term contracts available. The fixed term contract ends 31st March 2026 (maternity cover).

Experience of employment support is not essential, it is more important that you share our passion and commitment to employment as an integral aspect of wellbeing and supporting people to find the right job for them. You will receive training on the IPS model and in supporting people with mental health issues. We welcome applications from people with lived experience of mental health, either personally or through a close contact.

You need to have a desire to support people to achieve their employment goals, and the ability to multitask and manage your workload effectively. Good organisation skills are essential for this role, in addition to an interest in mental health, and the role it plays in the workplace. The successful candidate will need to become comfortable in approaching employers, and showcase the advantages of our service in order to work with them to recruit our clients to fill vacancies and sustain employment.

You will work with clients (managing a caseload) who have mental health support needs, to assist them in securing sustainable paid employment in line with their preferences. You will deliver the IPS approach (for which training will be given); providing person centred support and guidance to clients, whilst building positive relationships with local employers to enable clients to move into suitable employment.

You will work as part of a mental health team (NHS Trust) maintaining positive and integrated relationships, fostering a holistic approach to recovery through employment. You will work closely with clinical teams, providing a coordinated approach that always remains client led.  You will also be working to targets whilst maintaining a high-quality service.

Make a difference

This is an exciting opportunity to join our service supporting Unpaid Carers across Lewisham to improve their health and wellbeing, and access support that meets their needs.

The team works with unpaid Adult Carers, Young Adult Carers and Young Carers, completing statutory and holistic assessments to understand people’s individual circumstances and level of need. You will carry out home visits and community meetings, co-produce support plans, and develop effective relationships with Unpaid Carers, families, and professionals.  

You’ll build on your local knowledge to signpost and facilitate access for Unpaid Carers to support services, including financial and benefit advice, housing, health and safety home systems, and leisure and social activities. You will also support the development of escalation plans so that Unpaid Carers are prepared for unforeseen circumstances that would impact negatively on ability to care.

Applicants should have relevant personal or professional experience of working with Unpaid Carers and/or vulnerable adults or children in a social care, health, education or voluntary and community sector. You’ll need a practical understanding of barriers faced by Unpaid Carers, and an awareness of cultural differences and access to services. Experience of working in mental health or dementia services would be an advantage.

About the role

We are seeking a Dual Diagnosis Worker who has a specialism in complex mental health and substance misuse to join our team in Croydon. This is a residential service which provides specialist mental health, complex needs, and dual diagnosis support to our residents. You will utilise your previous experience and knowledge, and provide specialist support to those who have been diagnosed with mental ill health and have challenges with substance use. You will deliver evidence-based interventions based on holistic assessments to support personalised recovery, integration, and promotion of independent living skills.

Within this role, you will act as a specialist for comorbidity, supporting the team to achieve positive outcomes for our residents. Some of the duties may include:

• Undertake joint holistic assessments, risk assessments, care plans, and interventions to support harm reduction and minimisation.
• Set up realistic and flexible strengths-based support plans, working closely with colleagues and support teams to support and advise on interventions and approaches to meet individual needs.
• Help reduce episodes of crisis and assist residents/participants to access services which can offer alternatives to crisis support.
• Work closely with support staff and clinical teams to support and advise them on interventions and approaches to meet resident/participant comorbid, complex mental health and substance misuse needs.
• Support multi-disciplinary teams and the wider community teams with support, advice, signposting, and move on care planning. 

About you

We’re looking for someone who has specialist knowledge on how to support individuals with comorbid and complex needs, with previous experience in a similar role. We look at individual characteristics to be able to show resilience, solve challenges, and be proactive in your approach. You will have a passion for supporting people to achieve their personal goals, and achieve positive outcomes, this includes having the ability to engage with people who may be hard to reach and engage with. We further are looking for someone who has:

• An appropriate qualification which is relevant to the role which could include: National Diploma, Bachelors, or master’s in psychology, Dual Diagnosis, Substance Misuse or any relevant
• Previous experience in a similar role, providing holistic assessments and support for people experiencing mental health challenges
• Applied knowledge of the principles of risk assessment and risk management, particularly in relation to harm minimisation.
• A commitment to promoting recovery, harm reduction, and active involvement in care planning.
• Ability to apply relapse prevention models to promote sustained recovery and harm reduction.

We're looking for someone who understands why it's important to demonstrate that Disabled people can take a leadership role in their communities, who also has a deep understanding of voluntary sector groups.  This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who would enjoy supporting small voluntary groups to reach their goals, and representing their views and needs to partners. 

Inclusion Barnet is Barnet’s Deaf and Disabled People’s Organisation (DDPO), led by a board and senior management team of disabled people, and we’re passionate about using our lived experience of disability to work towards inclusive communities and greater social justice for all.  This role works with groups from across all Barnet’s diverse communities, and all work needs to be undertaken through an equality and access lens.  Therefore, we’re looking for someone with a demonstrable commitment to the social model of disability and disability equality, with their own lived experience of disability, and an ambition to contribute to a fairer society for all.  We also particularly welcome applications from global majority candidates, who are currently underrepresented in our organisation. 

The successful candidate will lead on delivery of our voluntary sector support activity, working as part of our award-winning Barnet Together partnership with Young Barnet Foundation and Groundwork London.  You will ensure we continue a strong delivery of our offer and that we increase membership and engagement, and act as Inclusion Barnet’s Operational Lead within the partnership.  You’ll undertake some delivery yourself, supporting groups with funding applications and more complex governance queries.  You’ll also convene Barnet’s Environmental Network, and attend some key local meetings to provide representation of the sector’s views. 

To succeed, you will either have previous experience of supporting community groups in a sector support role, or solid experience of third sector management, governance and fundraising.  You’ll be excited by the challenge of delivering this unique service and keen to build on the success of Barnet Together to date.

*This role sits within a pay grade with a pay range of £26,887 to £42,371. The salary on appointment will be set at the lower end of the pay range, to a maximum of £34,629 depending on the candidate's skills and experience. This approach aims to ensure fair compensation for new hires while maintaining alignment with the structured pay scale for the role.

Context and purpose of the role

It’s an exciting time to join the Ramblers as we have recently refreshed our strategy to support the delivery of our long-term ambitions.

You will join a small, high-performing team responsible for generating £5 million per year from individual giving, legacies, grants and corporate partners, all to deliver the Ramblers ambition for a future where everyone can enjoy the benefits of walking in nature.

Working closely with the Product & Innovation Manager, you will play a key role in delivering the fundraising strategy, leading on the delivery of our individual giving and legacy marketing campaigns across a range of channels. You will create high-quality, compelling campaign materials and ensure an excellent donor experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Income generation

• Play a key role in the implementation and delivery of the individual giving and legacy marketing strategy
• Support the growth of individual giving income in line with annual targets
• Develop and deliver regular cash and legacy marketing appeals to a high level, including:
  • Developing propositions and cases for support
  • Create compelling direct marketing materials, including writing persuasive copy and developing strong creative content
  • Project management to ensure delivery on schedule and within budget
  • Managing relationships with agencies and suppliers including design and print
• Manage a portfolio of affiliate fundraising campaigns

Donor stewardship

• Ensure the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system is used effectively to facilitate accurate supporter stewardship and reporting
• Effectively manage communications with supporters, including ensuring that donations are thanked appropriately, managing fundraising inboxes, and responding to queries
• Working with the Production & Innovation Manager, identify a pipeline of potential mid- and high-value donors for stewardship and conversion

Data and reporting

• Produce campaign and programme level reporting and analysis
• Work closely with the data team to ensure selections are accurate, timely and relevant to our various audiences, and use income data to make recommendations for future campaigns
• Maintain accurate, up to date and compliant records of individual giving campaigns and appeals
• Provide regular financial reports and reforecasts to the Product & Innovation Manager and Head of Fundraising

Relationships

• Build strong working relationships with staff within various functions of the Ramblers
• Work with other members of the Fundraising, Communications and Supporter Care teams to ensure that all supporter communications are part of an integrated supporter journey

The Person

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Essential:

• Experience working within a target-driven fundraising or direct marketing team, ideally within an individual giving context
• Experience of managing fundraising or marketing projects across a range of channels, such as direct mail, social media and email
• Experience of data-driven marketing campaigns, including segmentation and campaign analysis to meet objectives
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to tailor communications to a wide range of audiences
• Excellent creative skills, including the ability to write compelling, accurate and persuasive copy across a range of channels
• Competent in the use of IT tools including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Experience of working with CRM systems

Desirable:

• Experience of working with the Salesforce CRM
• Experience of legacy marketing, or an understanding of charity legacy giving
• Experience of using digital marketing tools including Mailchimp and social media advertising platforms
• Familiarity with relevant legislation and guidance, including UK data protection law and the Code of Fundraising Practice

We are looking for a team member who is passionate about applying therapeutic approaches in non-clinical group settings, can inspire and support young people to take the lead in devising their own work, and committed to delivering wellbeing through creativity. You’ll bring a therapeutic lens to help shape a pioneering new school engagement project, developed in partnership with local primary and secondary schools and youth clubs. As part of the DreamArts family, you’ll benefit from ongoing professional development that explores the fusion of arts and therapy.

Project Overview

The Inspiration Academy will support Years 6-8 to engage with education, strengthen attainment and wellbeing, develop leadership skills, and build a sense of belonging. It is part of a new Belonging Partnership which represents a unique opportunity over 3 years to make a difference to young people during one of the most challenging periods of their lives. The partnership will enable us to track progress and share practice, with multiple perspectives available to assess how young people have benefited, including teachers and parents/carers. We know how rare such opportunities are and we are therefore hugely excited about it.

DreamArts’ contribution to the partnership is the Inspiration Academy, designed to reach 150 pupils in 5 primary schools annually. Of these, 30 young people identified as at-risk of disengagement receive tailored group-based support as they transition to Pimlico Academy.  

Year 6 students from partner primaries will choose and explore a meaningful issue and lead a creative campaign for their school community. Those at risk of disengagement will work alongside peers, taking on positive roles that reshape their self-perception.

A week-long summer intensive will equip at-risk students with a ‘toolkit’ to navigate the academic, social, and emotional challenges of secondary school. Once at Pimlico Academy, they’ll train as Inspiration Ambassadors, delivering workshops to future cohorts.

Additionally, Family Express will provide parents/carers with a creative space to explore challenges alongside their children and other families, strengthening relationships and resilience. Through these opportunities, young people will be supported to build a sense of belonging within their schools and within their wider community.

Responsibilities

The Project Therapist will work alongside the Project Lead and provide a group-based creative therapeutic approach to the planning and co-delivery of the Inspiration Academy. You will help identify mental health and educational needs and co-develop strategies for reducing barriers to participation so that young people can:

· Explore who they are

· Build positive relationships with peers and adults

· Improve their sense of belonging within their school community

The Therapeutic Service Co-ordinator & Clinician is a vital member of the DreamArts Core Team. This role combines project co-ordination with direct therapeutic support through our EXPRESS PLUS service and our work with young carers.

EXPRESS PLUS is a free therapy service based in Westminster offering weekly one-to-one or parent-child creative therapeutic support to young people aged 7–18 (or up to 25 with additional needs). It is the only service of its kind in the borough and we provide a safe and welcoming space for clients to explore issues such as domestic violence, sexual abuse, and suicidal ideation.

Sessions take place at three community venues and are delivered by qualified or qualifying therapists using a wide range of creative tools—arts and crafts, sand play, puppets, games—to help young people express themselves in ways that feel natural and safe. With an 80% retention rate after three sessions and two-thirds of clients from global majority backgrounds, the service has a demonstrable impact.

EXPRESS PLUS is proudly user-led. Young people are at the heart of every decision, and the service adapts to meet their needs—typically offering up to 18 weekly sessions, with flexibility depending on circumstances. We accept self-referrals from young people aged 14+, parents/carers, and statutory and voluntary services.

As part of this role, you will also deliver direct therapeutic support to young people with caring responsibilities. This includes offering weekly 1:1 sessions for three young carers and being part of a team facilitating monthly group therapy spaces.

We are looking for a team member who is passionate about the power of creative therapy to support young people. It also offers opportunities to case-manage three-to-four therapists and bring a therapeutic lens across all aspects of DreamArts’ work. We provide appropriate levels of clinical supervision plus a quarterly reflection space to support your professional development.
