The Benefits Service within South East London Mind is a well-established offer of support to clients who need to access welfare benefits they are entitled to receive. The service currently provides casework support for people who need to challenge benefits decisions across the three boroughs of Bromley, Lewisham and Greenwich. There is also a cross-area team of volunteers who assist with form filling and all aspects of the assessment process.

We are looking for a Benefits Service Manager with significant experience of working within welfare benefits. You will have a good understanding of the needs of people with mental health problems and the links with welfare issues. You will take responsibility for the quality of support the team deliver to ensure it is robust and accountable. We hope to be able to extend our offer of support in the future so it will be important you have an interest in developing the service.

Applicants should have previous experience of thinking strategically to develop a service and of managing a team to deliver the support. An ability to work independently but collaboratively, to be proactive and show initiative is essential for this role.  

Successful applicants will be expected to undergo an Enhanced Level Disclosure and Barring Service check.

About the role

Shelter Manchester are recruiting for a number of roles including Housing Rights Workers to cover the cross boundary tenancy relations service as well as the city wide advice service. Both services will require working across multiple locations and with respect to the tenancy relations role a significant part of your week will be co located with partner agencies.

As Housing Rights Worker, you will deliver high quality housing advice and advocacy in line with the hub’s local community priorities. This will involve working alongside people who are experiencing homelessness and bad housing to identify issues facing local communities.  You will plan and deliver casework to individuals and communities to resolve their housing situation, networking and engaging with community groups, local organisations and individuals to understand local housing issues and raise awareness of housing rights.

You will also work within local community settings and alongside community groups, delivering advice and rights awareness workshops. You will ensure that people with lived experience of homelessness have opportunities to share their story, give their views and participate in the design and delivery of Shelter services. You will offer day to day support to volunteers, provide learning, shadowing and mentoring and be a consistent role model for Shelter’s values.

About you

You will have the ability to engage and work collaboratively with individuals, communities and with all stakeholders, including running group workshops and presentations. You have experience, knowledge of and/or proven ability in housing and homelessness advice and advocacy, with the ability to progress to specialist level knowledge. Essential to the role will be good time management, carrying out casework related interviews, maintaining detailed case records and offering advice and support to clients to inform their decisions.

This role covers the South-West of England and requires regular travel within this region, as well as occasional national trips. The Woodland Trust is looking for a Project Manager - Mourne Park on a fixed term contract until December 2029 to lead the work on the development and delivery of The National Lottery Heritage Funded project at Mourne Park.

The Role: 
•    This is a key role in The National Lottery Heritage Funded project at Mourne Park.  The Project Manager will be required to work on the development and delivery of visitor experience enhancement, countryside access and interpretation projects linked to conservation of Mourne Park’s natural and built heritage through woodland management, creation and restoration schemes.

Bipolar is a severe mental health condition, characterised by extreme mood changes that range from manic highs to suicidal lows, affecting 2% of the UK population, and we are seeking a candidate who can work as part of our developing engagement in research, alongside our dedicated team of staff and volunteers in realising our ambition of making a far reaching and meaningful difference to the everyday lives of those impacted by Bipolar.

The Postdoctoral Research Manager will assist the Director of Research in running Bipolar UK’s Research Division:

• working with the charity and its multiple partner projects and collaborators to deliver on our current research commitments
• to develop the long-term sustainability of the Bipolar UK Research Division

This is an exciting role which will combine overseeing and managing existing and prospective research partnerships with research teams around the country and world, and taking part in the development of Bipolar UK-led research.

Current research partners include teams at UCL, Oxford, Cardiff and the GW4 Alliance, Swansea, King’s College London, Manchester, Birmingham, Newcastle, Lancaster, Liverpool, together with international organisations such as The Global Bipolar Cohort and the International Society for Bipolar Disorders. Our aim at Bipolar UK is to integrate research into the charity in a way which combines more traditional elements of facilitating lived experience involvement alongside actively contributing to and directing research. Bipolar UK is very much a user-driven organisation. The Opportunity: Project Lead 

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Lead to join our passionate team. What You’ll Be Doing: 

• Project Leadership & Oversight: Oversee and drive the successful delivery of various local projects, including key initiatives such as FEAST2030, WISH, and other emerging projects within the Oxfordshire food partnership. 

• Community & Network Connection: Drive and nurture robust community and network connections for the Oxfordshire food partnership. This includes organising and attending events, and conducting visits to network members and community food groups to ensure GFO is well-connected and able to best support the needs of the food sustainability scene in Oxfordshire. 

• Strategic Impact & Measurement: Serve as the key contact for Sustainable Food Places, overseeing the uptake and diligently measuring the impact of the Oxfordshire Food Strategy and Food Action Plans. 

• Partnership & Collaboration: Cultivate strong relationships with research cohorts we are involved in, such as FEAST, ensuring collaborative success and mutual benefit. 

• Campaign & Initiative Delivery: Drive forward impactful food-waste projects and campaigns, including the beloved Pumpkin Festival and the Great Big Green Lunch, from conception to successful execution. 

• Strategic Development & Reporting: Work closely with the CEO to drive forward strategic change within GFO. Collaborate with the Comms and Fundraising Lead to ensure timely and accurate updates are provided on funded projects for reports and communications.

About the role:
