Do you have a serving attitude and are you passionate about IT? We are looking for an IT Support Specialist who enjoys helping our users across the globe with their technical support needs. As an IT Support Specialist, you will seek optimal user experience by handling and coordinating tickets, training users, and identifying possibilities for improvements. Our technical environment is standard Microsoft M365, Entra, D365, etc. combined with a mix of commercial security tools and custom applications. This position reports directly to the ODI IT Infra & Service Delivery Manager. Our ideal candidate will have excellent technical and communication skills, solid customer service experience, a strong sense of ownership, and a positive drive. 

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Monitor and triage incoming tickets (Freshservice ITSM tool), provide timely response to all issues, update internal customers on status, solicit additional information, if needed;

• Responsible for the full professional handling of customer questions, requests, and incidents and take measures when issues arise; 

• Identify possibilities for structural improvements to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of our IT services, for example using PowerAutomate or similar;

• Training and advising individual users in secure and efficient use of IT systems;

• Act as a key first point of contact for UK staff 

• Develop and update  support documentation.

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced operations manager to join our team. We are looking for someone who will help strengthen the foundations of our organisation, as well as help us expand our growing network of partner organisations across the UK. 

As a small charity, the role will require balancing practical tasks with strategic planning and management. Building on what has already been done, you will work directly with the CEO to help build the operational structure of Big Green Heart, and support its day-to-day operations. 

You will also facilitate the national deployment of Big Green Heart workshops across the UK, and will work with the CEO and trustees to implement the strategy needed to upscale the work of Big Green Heart.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• You will develop and implement operational policies, procedures and systems to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the organisation.

• You will monitor and evaluate the operational performance of the organisation, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.

• You will manage the operational activity of our Big Green Heart experience days, supporting the CEO in the delivery of them. 

• You will work closely with our partner organisations who are using the Big Green Heart model, ensuring that the high standards and values of our teaching are maintained.

• You will also work with the Big Green Heart team to onboard new partner organisations. You will work with them to understand their needs and secure buy-in. 

• You will collaborate with the trustees, who also contribute to tasks linked with Big Green Heart's development. 

• You will manage the budgeting and financial planning processes, working closely with the Treasurer.

• You will be trained as a Big Green Heart facilitator with an expectation that you may be needed to facilitate a workshop during your time at the organisation.

• You will participate in professional and networking events related to Big Green Heart’s field of intervention.

• You will support staff members, trustees and volunteers, providing guidance and training in the operations of the charity as needed.

• At least two years experience in operations management, preferably within the charity sector.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Programme Manager to help us deliver missional projects aligned with our Refreshed Diocesan Strategy. The strategy includes several bold outcomes such as doubling the number of young people choosing to attend worship regularly and having 3% of total population in the diocese regularly attending our churches.

Our diocesan strategy prioritises resourcing excellent youth ministry in seven ministry areas, to grow younger and more diverse. The good news is that we have just received funding for a 3-year Youth Hubs Pilot project, to define and evaluate an innovative approach to mission and evangelism with young people in a rural context, researching models for growing young disciples with the support of key research partners. Our goal is to bring about a step-change in youth ministry for the Diocese of Hereford and create a replicable model for reaching young people with the gospel in a rural context.

• Recruit, support, train and encourage local volunteers from the host parish and across the deanery to grow mission and ministry with children and their families - particularly with those not yet engaged in their local church community.
• Develop and resource a youth group in the local parish church, and a Messy Church worshipping community.
• Bring to life new volunteer-led initiatives for engaging children and their families with their local church community.
• Catalyse the launch and ongoing development of a new intergenerational worshipping community in the wider deanery, with support from an existing Children and Families Mission Enabler (CFME) and local stakeholders.
• Identify and enable ways in which volunteers from across the deanery could work together fruitfully.
• Identify training needs for volunteers in collaboration with the diocesan Flex Pathway.
• Support and model a culture where children and families are integrated throughout the church and community and where children of all ages are valued and given opportunities to share in ministry and mission.
• Work with the Area Dean to understand potential opportunities in the deanery and identify which parishes will most benefit from CFM support.
• Meet regularly for reflection and supervision with the local supervisor, and line management from the Mission Support Developer CFME.
• Manage the delivery of the CFM project within the parish and deanery and be responsible for gathering and delivering feedback and evaluation, updating plans and communicating clearly with all key stakeholders.
• Participate in a relational and learning community with the existing CFMEs from across CofE Birmingham.
• Uphold high safeguarding standards, supported by the CofE Birmingham safeguarding team.
• Contribute to parish, deanery and diocesan life in other ways as agreed with your line manager, Mission Support Developer CFME.

The Role of Safeguarding Administrator

We have an exciting opportunity to join the Coventry Diocesan Safeguarding team as a Safeguarding Administrator. 

You will have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work successfully with a range of stakeholders. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written will be key, as well as working collaboratively within a team.

The main responsibilities of the Safeguarding Administrator are:

• To provide effective and efficient administrative and logical support to the diocesan safeguarding team ensuring that all systems contribute to the delivery of high-quality service and the smooth running of the diocesan safeguarding teams work.
• Overseeing the team’s diary management, booking internal and external meetings
• Minute taking meetings including safeguarding meetings
• Screening calls and emails for the diocesan safeguarding team from a range of stake holders including those who may have vulnerabilities, using your initiative to respond to enquiries, delegate safeguarding referrals to the relevant members of the team
• Maintain and update relevant databases and recording systems, ensuring accurate records
• Be responsible for DBS administration of Parish Safeguarding Officers
• Developing knowledge of safeguarding policy to advise appropriately on matters relating to general parish safeguarding such as safer recruitment, training and parish dashboard
• Provide general administrative support, as deemed appropriate by the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor

Position summary

SAT-7 is currently looking to recruit a Development Officer to join SAT-7s Development Department.

The purpose of SAT-7 is to provide Christian television and digital media services to support the work and witness of the church in the Middle East and North Africa.

SAT-7’s Development department works with projects to address often controversial issues in the MENA region such as disability, discrimination, limited educational opportunities, women’s and children’s rights through the TV-programs and through on the ground partners.

The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and reporting on the activities of SAT-7 PARS, SAT-7’s Farsi speaking channel, including the drafting of fundraising proposals.

Summary of key responsibilities

• Development of fundraising proposals for SAT-7 PARS’ channel projects in cooperation with all relevant SAT-7 stakeholders
• Conduct frequent MENA context analysis with special focus on the situation for Christians, FoRB, women, children, disabilities, education etc.
• Monitoring and managing the correct implementation of the projects (scope, budget, schedule, quality etc.)
• Manage and ensure the necessary reporting of SAT-7 PARS projects carried out with restricted funds.
• Management and development of the portfolio of SAT-7 social-impact projects in line with Communications for Development approach
• Oversee research related to measurement of the success of different projects.
• Work closely with the International Office Communications Department for the portfolio projects.
• Travelling to different SAT-7 offices in MENA when required

Qualifications and requirements

• Be sympathetic with and enthusiastic about the purpose and goals of SAT‑7.
• Relevant university degree is required e.g. Social Sciences, Political Sciences, Theology
• Knowledge of Middle East political, socioeconomics and religious issues is essential.
• Experience in project management, Communications for Development or/and Christian ministry, and the coordination of projects supported by restricted funds would be an advantage.
• Be a proficient communication writer able to express SAT-7’s Christian identity to corporate and statutory funders.
• Outstanding English writing/speaking skills.
• Experience in a similar position is considered an advantage.
• Knowledge of Farsi would be an advantage.
• Previous experience of working in the Middle East or North Africa is a strong advantage
• Be very organised with good attention to detail, able to juggle different tasks, meet deadlines, prioritise and delegate when appropriate.

Office Administrator - Donor Communications and Volunteer Liaison

Friends of the Holy Land are looking for an energetic, dedicated individual to join our fast-moving, growing charity.

Friends of the Holy Land has a small network of volunteer supporters around the country and an expanding number of financial donors. This new role will be responsible for communicating with these two communities, with a focus on preparing monthly emails to supporters, monitoring and moderating social media accounts, liaising with external partners to deliver external communications, developing donor stewardship and growing our volunteer network.

The role will also be required to help with regular office duties and will need to be familiar with all aspects of administrative support for the operational success of the charity. You will need to be comfortable working in a faith-based organisation, talking to supporters across the UK and with our partners in the Holy Land, and be competent in creating communications.

Essential Qualifications and Skills

• Office experience
• Must have strong computer skills using Microsoft office (ideally Office 365).  CRM training will be provided as necessary
• Excellent written and verbal communication and inter-personal skills

Transforming Lives for Good (TLG) is a national Christian charity working in partnership with local churches to give struggling children hope and a future.

Building on the huge success of TLG Early Intervention Coaching, TLG Therapeutic Support will be a new way for TLG, with partner churches, to provide support in school for the increasing number of pupils struggling to cope due to their emotional, relational, and mental health experiences. 

In this role we are looking for an individual that thrives working with children and young people in a school context and is passionate about supporting pupils and their families struggling with emotional, relational, and mental health challenges. This role requires a formal counselling qualification or at least evidence of notable progress on the journey to attaining a counselling qualification. The TLG Therapeutic Counsellor will be present each week in the school, providing specialist trauma aware care for these children, whilst supporting staff and parents too.

TLG is a Christian charity and, as a team, we want to bring our faith to the work we do; as such, we are recruiting an individual with a strong and active Christian faith. TLG is also committed to safeguarding children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share in this commitment.
