Database Manager

Location: Hybrid working - Part London (E14) office-based and part home working. The post holder will work a minimum of one day a week in the office. 

Salary:£45,600 per annum 

Hours:35 hours per week

Who we are looking for 

Breakthrough T1D is the UK’s leading type 1 diabetes charity, dedicated to funding research, advocating for change, and supporting the T1D community. We’re looking for a Database Manager. 

Data sits at the heart of our ambitious organisational strategy. Greater understanding of our organisational data supports us to deliver meaningful, high-quality engagement with our audiences and unlock deeper understanding to drive impact, as we work to find cures for type 1 diabetes and support the community to live well until that day comes.  

Acting as the organisation's subject matter expert for CRM, you will provide expert guidance to colleagues and drive best practice in data management. You'll be responsible for the ongoing development, optimisation, and governance of the organisation's CRM, ensuring supporter data is accurate, accessible, secure, and effectively used to support fundraising, engagement, and operational objectives.

Sitting within the Supporter Marketing and Experience team, you’ll work closely with colleagues across Fundraising and Engagement, Digital, Brand, Finance, IT and Supporter Care to ensure data sits at the heart of our decisions.

Experience required 

• Experience managing and administering SQL databases within a charity or fundraising environment and ideally experience using Donorfy. 
• Experience leading data quality and data cleansing initiatives. 
• Experience developing and implementing data governance processes and standards. 
• Experience reviewing and improving business processes, including automation and workflow design. 
• Experience managing data imports, exports and integrations between systems.
