We are seeking an experienced, qualified and ambitious accountant to take on the vital role of Finance Director with the Trust for Developing Communities - TDC.
Each year we work with over 21,000 people and over 300 community groups to tackle inequality in Brighton and Hove through community-led solutions. Our strength-based model of community development and youth work empowers people who experience poverty and exclusion to come together and take action.
As our Finance Director you will relish the opportunity to oversee the finance function of a growing and impactful charity. Our income has doubled in the past three years to over £2 million, with our work encompassing over 60 distinct projects, with our finances growing in complexity as we increasingly take on a lead partner role.
You will be utilising your extensive experience as a finance professional to ensure that TDC manages its finances in a way that best serves the mission and values of the organisation, with high levels of accountability and efficiency, and you will be overseeing a newly expanded finance team.

Crisis is the national charity for homeless people, working side by side with thousands of people each year as they find ways out of homelessness. We know that homelessness is not inevitable; we know that together we can end it.

About the role
As we embark on a new ten-year strategy, this is a unique opportunity to lead the development of a radical and ambitious approach to partnerships with businesses, building on the successful partnerships we have with Lloyds Banking Group, Specsavers, Taylor Wimpey, Berkeley Homes and many more.
This pivotal role will lead the development of a corporate and commercial engagement strategy across Crisis, growing and deepening our portfolio of corporate partners, broadening their support for our organisation and our cause, and inspiring them to act within their businesses. The role also involves leading the continued development of our fundraising and partnerships outside of London, creating a national support network to end homelessness.
While the role is directly responsible for strategic and corporate partnerships, the post holder will lead across the charity, ensuring a joined-up approach across retail, service delivery (including Crisis at Christmas), brand partnerships, venture philanthropy, investments, and innovation.
The role also involves membership of the Brand, Marketing & Fundraising senior team and the organisation’s Senior Leadership Group, where it plays an important organisation-wide leadership role. Additional investment has recently been made in the team, and senior leadership and the Board have committed to supporting its success.

You will lead a two-year project contributing to the work of the No Wrong Door partnership – local organisations and local residents working together to ensure there is ‘No Wrong Door’ for Black Disabled people seeking employment, as they can expect excellent support from any organisation.

We are seeking an experienced Head of People to drive forward the HR Strategy, manage the People Team, and support a growing Network of Youth Zones.
This is a permanent role offering hybrid working.

About the Role
Reporting to the Director of People, a key focus of this role will be to provide hands-on management to an experienced People consisting of a People Support Manager and Talent Acquisition Coordinator.
However, it is much wider than team management; it is about relationships. Relationships with internal colleagues, relationships with Network contacts, and relationships with third party suppliers. The role is seen as a crucial support function for the youth zones, and it is imperative that you are able to build rapport quickly and be an approachable and knowledgeable source of expertise and support for colleagues.
Some of your key duties include:
- Providing professional management, support and development to the People team
- Supporting the delivery and implementation of the Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Strategy
- Coaching, supporting and advising on complex ER matters; upskilling managers with regular training and support
- Supporting senior level recruitment across the charity’s Network
- Supporting the continued launch of PeopleHR
About You
You must have proven HR Leadership experience and have managed varied HR Teams. If this experience has been gained from organisations that service young people – even better!
Other experience and skills you will need include:
- Experience of managing and overseeing HR systems and budgets
- Experience of promoting and supporting a coaching culture
- In-depth knowledge of employment law
- The ability to develop and nurture relationships across the organisation

BSR events are a key benefit to members and the wider rheumatology community, offering the very latest in science, innovation, research and cases.
Our events team deliver the award-winning Annual Conference (Manchester 28-30 April 2025) in a hybrid format to c2000 delegates, plus our Case-based conference (Leeds 5-6 Nov, in-person c300 delegates) as well as a programme of celebratory awards.
The Events Executive works alongside the Events Manager, Digital Events Manager and Head of Events to deliver our events. Working on a range of areas from registration, logistics, being the main point of contact for delegates and liaising with venues and suppliers. This is an exciting role for someone looking to get more exposure to different areas of events and liaise with multiple stakeholders.
Main responsibilities
Event coordination
- Coordinate the registration management process for BSR conferences, including: arranging our registration services, data management and reporting.
- Manage the events inbox, being the main point of contact for delegates for all queries.
- To coordinate networking sessions and taster workshops within annual conference.
- Organise logistical elements including award prizes, abstract poster submissions and processes, arranging site visits, accommodation, travel arrangements and expenses.
- Manage CPD accreditation of events and activities.
- Provide content for webpages and emails to keep delegates informed.
- Input into our event budgets by monitoring progress and providing financial reporting and reconciliation against income and expenditure.
General
- Be a core member of the events team by attending and inputting into all planning meetings, venue site visits and delivery of events onsite.
- Identify and contribute ideas on how to improve processes and ways of working.
Please note: This role will require travel, overnight stays and weekend work, for example at our conferences (6 day stay). The Clean Air Fund is looking to recruit a Senior MEL and Reporting Specialist to join our MEL team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing organisation whose mission is to use philanthropic grants to catalyse a reduction in air pollution.
Under the supervision of the Breathe Cities MEL Manager and working closely with the Funder Relations Specialist, the role tracks programme performance, coordinates processes for donor reporting, generates learning and embeds evidence from Breathe Cities. This role ensures the MEL system drives maximum impact for the Breathe Cities Programme, and provides high quality and timely updates are provided to donors on this impact.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Demonstrable experience synthesizing learning from large volumes of data and communicating this in a clear and structured manner.

The role
This important role sits within our Supply Chain and Logistics team who are responsible for processing offers of surplus food from our food partners into our network of Regional Centres and the wider community. You will assist the Supply Chain and Logistics Officers in their operational work on the team. Food Industry Customer Service

Focus on Labour Exploitation (FLEX) is an organisation working towards an end to labour exploitation by addressing the systems and structures that make workers vulnerable to abuse. FLEX seeks to achieve this vision through the prevention of labour abuses, protection of the rights of those affected or at risk of exploitation and by promoting best practice responses to labour exploitation through research and evidence-based advocacy.
About the role:
FLEX is looking for someone with a passion for improving working conditions in service sectors, such as cleaning. In this role, you will support the development of more sustainable corporate responses through the development of a worker-informed human rights due diligence programme for businesses that contract cleaning services. Drawing on a 2-year pilot where we developed a worker-informed human rights due diligence framework, this work involves a strong worker-engagement element.
Above all this role requires someone with real passion and commitment for FLEX’s work to end labour exploitation and an excitement for ensuring workers are at the centre and actively involved in shaping solutions that work for them. You will be working in a dynamic team developing this programme, so this role will require flexibility and ability to adapt.
Key responsibilities:
Project Delivery
- Planning, delivering and evaluating worker engagement activities, in line with FLEX’s strategy, safeguarding protocols and approach, ensuring the workers views inform all project outputs, including reports.
- Supporting the development, maintenance, and implementation of robust safeguarding protocols for worker engagement.
