About the role 

As we embark on a new ten-year strategy, this is a unique opportunity to lead the development of a radical and ambitious approach to partnerships with businesses, building on the successful partnerships we have with Lloyds Banking Group, Specsavers, Taylor Wimpey, Berkeley Homes and many more. 

This pivotal role will lead the development of a corporate and commercial engagement strategy across Crisis, growing and deepening our portfolio of corporate partners, broadening their support for our organisation and our cause, and inspiring them to act within their businesses. The role also involves leading the continued development of our fundraising and partnerships outside of London, creating a national support network to end homelessness. 

While the role is directly responsible for strategic and corporate partnerships, the post holder will lead across the charity, ensuring a joined-up approach across retail, service delivery (including Crisis at Christmas), brand partnerships, venture philanthropy, investments, and innovation. 

The role also involves membership of the Brand, Marketing & Fundraising senior team and the organisation’s Senior Leadership Group, where it plays an important organisation-wide leadership role. Additional investment has recently been made in the team, and senior leadership and the Board have committed to supporting its success. 

About you 

We’re seeking someone with significant experience developing relationships with the corporate/commercial sector and a successful track record in organisations comparable in scale and complexity to Crisis. You will be ambitious, with a strong understanding of our challenges and how to make the most of opportunities to create new relationships with partners and think differently about what it means for a business to support a charity and social cause.

Head of People

We are seeking an experienced Head of People to drive forward the HR Strategy, manage the People Team, and support a growing Network of Youth Zones.

This is a permanent role offering hybrid working.

Position: Head of People

Location: Hybrid working. Blend of home-based and office (you must live within regular commutable distance of Bolton or White City, London)

About the Role

Reporting to the Director of People, a key focus of this role will be to provide hands-on management to an experienced People consisting of a People Support Manager and Talent Acquisition Coordinator.

However, it is much wider than team management; it is about relationships. Relationships with internal colleagues, relationships with Network contacts, and relationships with third party suppliers. The role is seen as a crucial support function for the youth zones, and it is imperative that you are able to build rapport quickly and be an approachable and knowledgeable source of expertise and support for colleagues.

Some of your key duties include:

• Providing professional management, support and development to the People team
• Supporting the delivery and implementation of the Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Strategy
• Coaching, supporting and advising on complex ER matters; upskilling managers with regular training and support
• Supporting senior level recruitment across the charity’s Network
• Supporting the continued launch of PeopleHR

About You

You must have proven HR Leadership experience and have managed varied HR Teams. If this experience has been gained from organisations that service young people – even better!

Job Purpose

BSR events are a key benefit to members and the wider rheumatology community, offering the very latest in science, innovation, research and cases. 

Our events team deliver the award-winning Annual Conference (Manchester 28-30 April 2025) in a hybrid format to c2000 delegates, plus our Case-based conference (Leeds 5-6 Nov, in-person c300 delegates) as well as a programme of celebratory awards. 

The Events Executive works alongside the Events Manager, Digital Events Manager and Head of Events to deliver our events. Working on a range of areas from registration, logistics, being the main point of contact for delegates and liaising with venues and suppliers. This is an exciting role for someone looking to get more exposure to different areas of events and liaise with multiple stakeholders.

Main responsibilities

Event coordination

• Coordinate the registration management process for BSR conferences, including: arranging our registration services, data management and reporting.
• Manage the events inbox, being the main point of contact for delegates for all queries.
• To coordinate networking sessions and taster workshops within annual conference.
• Organise logistical elements including award prizes, abstract poster submissions and processes, arranging site visits, accommodation, travel arrangements and expenses.
• Manage CPD accreditation of events and activities.
• Provide content for webpages and emails to keep delegates informed.
• Input into our event budgets by monitoring progress and providing financial reporting and reconciliation against income and expenditure.

General

• Be a core member of the events team by attending and inputting into all planning meetings, venue site visits and delivery of events onsite.

Please note: This role will require travel, overnight stays and weekend work, for example at our conferences (6 day stay). Senior MEL and Reporting Specialist 

The Clean Air Fund is looking to recruit a Senior MEL and Reporting Specialist to join our MEL team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing organisation whose mission is to use philanthropic grants to catalyse a reduction in air pollution.   

Under the supervision of the Breathe Cities MEL Manager and working closely with the Funder Relations Specialist, the role tracks programme performance, coordinates processes for donor reporting, generates learning and embeds evidence from Breathe Cities. This role ensures the MEL system drives maximum impact for the Breathe Cities Programme, and provides high quality and timely updates are provided to donors on this impact.

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Demonstrable experience synthesizing learning from large volumes of data and communicating this in a clear and structured manner.

The role

This important role sits within our Supply Chain and Logistics team who are responsible for processing offers of surplus food from our food partners into our network of Regional Centres and the wider community. This role is essential in ensuring that the food we are offered reaches the thousands of charities and community groups we support across the UK. You will assist the Supply Chain and Logistics Officers in their operational work on the team. The successful candidate will work closely with the Officers to support in liaising with FareShare food suppliers, transport partners and our Regional Centres in order to distribute food to our beneficiaries. Main areas of responsibility

Food Industry Customer Service

• Deliver excellent customer service, ensuring offers are responded to and processed within agreed service level requirements
• Assist in capturing key account information in our CRM system

Regional Centre allocation

• Adhere to the requirements of the Network Service Level Agreement
• Work with the Supply Chain and Logistics Officers to match food supplied to Regional Centre needs, always working to maximise surplus redistribution and minimise waste
• Ensure that offers are allocated in an efficient and timely manner according to network needs and agreed priorities to maximise social impact of surplus food
• Using our CRM system, maintain timely records of accounts, allocations, offers and case management
• Maintain high standards of customer service to the Network and Operations teams and develop respectful and effective working relationships with the Regional Centres

 Logistics and transport

• Work with hauliers to plan transport requirements and ensure that we are able to meet network demand
• Work with Regional Centres to coordinate and plan routes for internal FareShare logistics

• Analyse Salesforce reports to increase efficiency of allocation

Job title: Business Accountability Officer

Location: FLEX office, Vauxhall, London - Flexible hybrid working with a mixture of in person and home/office working.

FLEX is looking for someone with a passion for improving working conditions in service sectors, such as cleaning. In this role, you will support the development of more sustainable corporate responses through the development of a worker-informed human rights due diligence programme for businesses that contract cleaning services. Drawing on a 2-year pilot where we developed a worker-informed human rights due diligence framework, this work involves a strong worker-engagement element.

Above all this role requires someone with real passion and commitment for FLEX’s work to end labour exploitation and an excitement for ensuring workers are at the centre and actively involved in shaping solutions that work for them. You will be working in a dynamic team developing this programme, so this role will require flexibility and ability to adapt.

Key responsibilities:

Project Delivery 

• Planning, delivering and evaluating worker engagement activities, in line with FLEX’s strategy, safeguarding protocols and approach, ensuring the workers views inform all project outputs, including reports.
• Supporting the development, maintenance, and implementation of robust safeguarding protocols for worker engagement.
• Drafting relevant project outputs, including resources for workers, company reports and other outputs for external communication.
• Collecting data and documentation and supporting assessments and critical reviews of business policies, practices, engaging with participating companies (desk-based, interviews and surveys), as relevant.
• Developing actionable recommendations to support companies to improve their policies and practices.
• Organising regular partnership meetings, preparing and sending out meeting packs, scheduling meetings, facilitating members’ effective participation, and taking minutes.
• Maintaining FLEX’s worker-informed tools, including human rights assessment toolkit in line with international standards and UK law that incorporates issues identified by workers at risk of exploitation.
• Keeping abreast of worker-driven corporate responsibility initiatives focusing on cleaning to inform the pilot design.
• Developing a roadmap with clear referral pathways for businesses identifying labour abuses and potential victims of labour exploitation.
• Delivering activities within budget and liaising with consultants and/or independent contractors;
• Developing and implementing monitoring and evaluation plans, producing progress and learning reports for internal and external purposes.
• Extracting learnings from experience to inform FLEX’s methodologies for meaningful worker engagement.

Policy and advocacy

• Represent FLEX and networks at external meetings, as required.
• Keeping abreast of the wider relevant policy and legislative context and identifying relevant advocacy intervention opportunities.
• Supporting internal comms and coordination across teams.

Other

• Help maintain a regular social media presence for FLEX;
• Scope, draft and support fundraising bids relevant to this role;

Job Purpose

Reporting to and supported by the Head of Impact, Learning & Organisational Development, this role is instrumental in building a solid foundation for the future of Babbasa.  You will be responsible for trusts/ foundations grants research, applications, administration and impact reporting to funders. You will also work on building relationships with philanthropists and work with the Communications Lead in developing appropriate fundraising communications. 

Core Responsibilities

Fundraising development

• Identify and pursue new funding opportunities for our youth empowerment programmes, as well as for research and innovation opportunities to expand our existing offer.

• Responsible for trust and foundation grant applications, including bid conceptualisation, proposal writing, fundraising budget creation and application review.

• Support / develop relationships with philanthropists with a view to securing major gifts and legacies.

• Maintain and develop authentic and collaborative relationships with key stakeholders to effectively steward them.

• Work with and deputise for the Head of Impact, Learning & Organisational Development to steward funders with the aim of achieving Babbasa’s annual revenue target.

Management & Reporting

• Responsible for producing evaluation reports as per each funder’s reporting schedule, working with other team members to ensure that the reporting is accurate and timely.

• Track, review and report progress against the Business Plan to the Head of Impact, Learning & Organisational Development and the wider team using our Monday CRM system.

• Continually review risks, feedback, procedures, strategy and approach to improve profitability.
