This is an exciting time for the trusts team at Sue Ryder. Following a highly successful year, the team has grown its pool of supporters and is recruiting for one new member to join an existing team of four, including this post. As well as nurturing and reporting to loyal supporters, this role will focus on raising additional trust and foundation gifts of up to £10,000, helping us achieve our new organisational, five-year strategy.

About you:

A proactive fundraiser, with experience of cultivating and securing gifts up to £10,000 and a passion for building and maintaining support. You will have excellent attention to detail, strong written and verbal skills and a talent for establishing rapport. You will relish connecting trust donors to brilliant projects that require funding and be motivated by the opportunity to maintain personalised relationships with them.

About the role:

This role plays an important part in cultivating and stewarding grant givers to support Sue Ryder’s work. It offers the post-holder the chance to increase their knowledge and experience through working on a wide range of local and national fundraising propositions. With a new strategy in place, innovative and much-needed services launching and supported by a friendly team, the role provides considerable scope for a fundraiser to develop in a successful and expanding national team.

Main duties and responsibilities

· Identify, cultivate, and steward relationships with individual donors to maximize financial support and our community of supporters.

· Plan and execute individual giving campaigns, across all available communication channels to engage donors effectively.

· Identify, organise and coordinate donor and community events, creating opportunities to engage, retain and celebrate supporters.

· Maintain accurate donor records, utilising data to inform decision-making and improve fundraising efforts.

· Prepare regular reports and analysis on individual giving performance.

Ideal skills and experience:

· Experience in generating income from all or one or two of the following: individual, community and events fundraising. 

· Excellent written communication skills with a proven ability to write compelling stories and innovative content for fundraising campaigns.

· A strong understanding of the importance of knowing your supporter base to maximise income through effective donor communication and engagement.

· Strong data management and analysis skills

· Good knowledge of current data protection/GDPR regulation.

· Good working knowledge of CRM databases and how to utilise to steward supporters.

· Good level of administrative and organisational competency

· Good IT skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office, databases (currently Donorfy and Act!)

·Previous experience working in a charity/non-profit

· Willingness to attend events and meetings etc, for which expenses will be paid.

Main Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver a new Partners development strategy to secure significant gifts from individuals.

About the Role

This role is central to connecting supporters of Clatterbridge Cancer Charity with the challenge of their lifetime. The Challenge Events Fundraiser will promote events such as runs, marathons, abseils, bike rides and skydives. It is key to inspiring, motivating and supporting people who are raising money for the Charity by taking part in these types of events.

Key Tasks – support the MD in creating and delivering a member engagement and events programme

1. Conception and collaboration of member events, through to completion

The Data Insights Analyst will ensure that Advance is able to accurately measure the effectiveness and impact of Advance’s programming and communicate and report on this effectively to both internal stakeholders – including managers and Trustees – and external stakeholders like commissioners and funders. About You: 

 To be successful in this role:

You will bring  good understanding of the Theory of Change (ToC) approach, logical frameworks, MEL plan development and other key MEL approaches/methodologies, including both quantitative and qualitative, and ideally including participatory methodologies. You will have sound knowledge  and experience to interpret, analyse and document results from charity Programmes in writing through a variety of publications, including donor reports and guidelines/toolkits in a clear and succinct manner. You will have experience of working with highly sensitive data, and excellent and proven analytical skills working with both quantitative and qualitative data, including advanced skills on excel, and case management systems. Bringing a successful track record of building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders and managers, plus developing networks and partnerships.

As our Key Relationships Coordinator, you’ll be responsible for maintaining and refining administrative systems for the Key Relationships fundraising team. It’s a fast-paced role that involves managing your own time well and communicating effectively with all members of a busy and dynamic team.

Processing donations, you’ll monitor various databases and sources for new donors and gifts, work with relevant fundraisers on communications and handle Key Relationships incoming post. You’ll also coordinate with the Data, Insight, IT and Finance teams and manage further development of our supporter database – leading on data checking, creating and exporting datasets for reporting, and producing accurate and timely data selections to support communications and fundraising objectives.

Location: Islington, London. Our hybrid working model enables us to enjoy the benefits of both office based and remote working. We ask that staff work from the office in Islington 40% of their time, with 20% required as a minimum. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Fundraiser, working full-time on-site. The Fundraiser who will play an integral role within our team, working with the CEO, and senior management team, responsible for developing and implementing fundraising strategies, organising events and campaigns, maintaining donor relationships, and researching and identifying new funding opportunities, building a strong pipeline of core and restricted funding, as well as donations and gifts.

About the team

Shelter’s mature fundraising team has seen continuous year on year growth. The directorate generates over £65m gross income, of which a high percentage is unrestricted, giving us an exceptional level of investment flexibility. This particular role sits within our High Value Partnerships division, which includes Philanthropy, Trusts & Foundations, Legacies, and Corporate Partnerships fundraising specialists. It will also see you work closely with colleagues in a Retail team that’s responsible for a network of 80 charity shops and boutique stores that are the face of Shelter on the high street.

About the role

An ideal opportunity for someone who is interested in a career in corporate fundraising or charity retail, you’ll play a key role in developing Shelter’s retail presence and raising vital funds. You’ll be responsible for enabling stock donations from major retailers, and helping research and develop new relationships with businesses to generate stock and secure their expertise on a pro-bono basis. Thinking strategically, identifying new opportunities, and bringing ideas and concepts to life through written proposals and pitches to businesses in order to generate support for Shelter – all are aspects of a role that will also see you ensure the smooth running of our Stock Generation administration processes and help the Senior New Corporate Partnerships Manager - Retail, with day-to-day activities.

About you

As well as being keen to develop a career in business development and fundraising, you also feel passionately about working with companies to help tackle homelessness. What’s more, you believe you have what it takes to plan and source new stock generation opportunities and develop new acquisition tactics and campaign ideas that will engage retailers. You will have the ability to generate creative and imaginative proposals and take the initiative to develop new relationships with brands and retailers. An understanding of the sustainability agenda for businesses and ability to apply commercial and financial principles to improve business performance would be a definite advantage. We’re also looking for someone friendly and personable, with strong relationship building skills who can manage a busy workload, work well as part of a team and is proficient using Microsoft Office applications and databases.
