One in three students leave school each year without a pass in GCSE English and maths - this rises to over one in two for young people from disadvantaged backgrounds. Without GCSEs in English and maths, these young people are significantly more likely to drop out of education and are locked out of key professions, apprenticeships, and university courses.
Get Further exists to change this. Our charity has an award-winning tuition programme that helps students from disadvantaged backgrounds in further education to pass GCSEs in English or maths. We place highly qualified, specialist English and maths tutors in further education, who deliver a bespoke curriculum that builds confidence and skills in these core subjects.

THE ROLE
The Senior Data and Insights Officer will help us to demonstrate the importance of our tuition for young people and adults who are undertaking these foundational qualifications.
You will have strong attention-to-detail and will make sure our data is relevant, accurate and confidential. You will be skilled in data analysis and interpretation: able to draw out insights from data and be confident in writing – and communicating – impact for a variety of purposes and audiences.
As the Senior Data and Insights Officer you will work with the Director of Impact, within our Quality and Impact Team to:
Database Usage and Reporting
- Support our Salesforce Lead in creating reports and dashboards, ensuring all data is relevant, accurate and secure.
- Use our database management system to generate reports and data analysis for the Senior Leadership Team, and other internal colleagues, to support marketing campaigns, fundraising campaigns, statutory information requests and organisational insight.
- Prepare reports for college partners, funders, and the Board, which set out our data, findings and impact, clearly and accurately.
- • Confidently write about insights and findings from our data, generating learnings and recommendations for the organisation and other stakeholders.
Internal and External Evaluations
- Support the Director of Impact in developing assessment frameworks to robustly measure our impact and designing dissemination plans, to best harness and communicate that impact.
- Oversee and implement internal evaluation activity, for example, finalising student surveys, focus group and interview tools.
- Review and enhance data collection tools, process, analysis, and reporting.
- Undertake qualitative and quantitative analysis of our evaluation data; and use the data to make recommendations to improve programme quality.
- Review and keep abreast of literature and research in the further education, wider education, tuition and research landscape. You will share and apply learnings to our evaluation processes and programme delivery.
- Manage large research projects with external evaluators.
Policy, Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Support our ongoing compliance with GDPR across the organisation, as well as upholding our safeguarding frameworks.
- Implement policies and procedures relating to GDPR and ensure those policies are adhered to across the organisation.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
ESSENTIAL
- Commitment to Get Further’s mission and values, including passionate about tackling educational inequality.
- Familiarity with database systems, like Salesforce (or able and interested in learning to use a database management system).
- Skilled in data analysis: able to use complex data to produce accurate, insightful and engaging findings and recommendations.
- Research experience e.g. designing qualitative and quantitative instruments, survey design, knowledge of research designs (QED, RCT), ethical considerations, participatory research.
- IT skills e.g. MS Office (Word and Excel) and also data analytics software like Tableau and PowerBi.
- Project management experience: excellent at planning and managing projects, tracking key deliverables, overseeing budgets and financial controls.
- Knowledge of GDPR requirements, policies, processes and organisational compliance.
- Strong attention to detail, prioritises precision and accuracy.
- Problem-solver: enjoys troubleshooting and demonstrates a ‘solution-oriented’ approach.
- Excellent communication skills (including written and verbal skills).
- Excellent interpersonal skills: is proactive, enthusiastic, resilient and supportive team member.

DESIRABLE
- Familiarity with the FE sector.
- Has experience of and/or overseen research trials (e.g. Randomised Control Trials or Quasi-Experimental Designs).

The Students’ Union and the International Society merged in autumn 2023. Job Description
We are looking for someone who has the experience, skills and drive to grow our income, to build strong relationships with supporters and to lead our communications. Jessie’s Fund is a UK charity helping children with life-limiting illness or special educational needs and disabilities to communicate through music. As they reach their 30th Anniversary in 2025, they are seeking a Deputy Director (Education) to help grow their programme of creative music residencies in specialist settings across the UK. The role includes fundraising in direct support of the projects (grants) and deputising for the Executive Director as required.
- To lead the overall programme strategy for the Schools Programme, including family music and other creative music projects
- To design and implement the Schools Programme annual business plan, in collaboration with colleagues and the charity’s external advisers, reporting progress monthly against the plan to the Executive Director

Your experience:
- Experience of arts administration/project management

About Us
The Upper Room (TUR) works with a wide range of financially and socially disadvantaged groups including homeless people, people with long-term mental health conditions, asylum-seekers, refugees and ex-offenders – helping them to improve their lives and become productive members of society. Central to our offering is our UR4Meals service, providing free, home-cooked food to people who cannot afford to provide for themselves. We are also very proud of our UR4Driving programme, which supports people recently out of prison with free driving lessons in exchange for community volunteering. Gaining a driving licence greatly enhances their future employability prospects and helps break the cycle of re-offending. Additionally, our UR4Jobs project focusses on both client wellbeing and breaking down the many barriers to employment faced by disadvantaged people every day.
The role
Is an exciting new edition to the TUR team, created to capitalise on the fact that the number of businesses in our catchment area is 45000+, but we’re not trying to talk to all of them, just target a few – ideally by gaining referrals and recommendations. So the job is to proactively find those local businesses happy to talk to us, understand what they might be looking for by partnering with a charity, share our brilliant story along with the business case (which is strong) for them to get involved with us in some way. We have made an excellent start, we already have a small number of great corporate partners, and this job is about taking it all on to the next level. As you would expect the role is about creating contacts, networking, maximising the face-to-face time with prospective partners and where possible gaining referrals. And, ultimately this is all because, the bigger our portfolio of corporate partners all feeling great about their involvement with us, the more able we are to raise the funds we need to keep up with an ever-increasing demand for our services.
About You
You live within - or know well, West/Central London, you probably need a job with some working flexibility and want to have genuine belief in the product or service you’re talking about. You have a CV that demonstrates solid experience in a comparable role in a ‘business-to-business’ environment, a role - the success of which, is dependent on the levels of energy and proactivity you provide. This could be in another charity, CIC or other Non-Profit organisation. However, if you have a solid B2B background and want to explore a change of direction you are also very welcome to apply. You are comfortable and confident with working autonomously, you can articulate and ‘bring to life’ your story through your presentation skills. You also need great listening skills so you can build a picture of what each new corporate partner is looking to achieve by signing up to our cause. You have used Microsoft suite products before – including PowerPoint. A driving licence and use of a car is desirable as the role requires regular client visits, some of whom may not be accessible by public transport.

The role
As Forward Action’s Partnerships Officer, you’ll support the Partnerships Director to build and maintain strong relationships with our partners, so we can help them achieve change on everything from climate change to refugee rights.
In this fast-paced role, you’ll manage the administration side of our partnerships, from initial contact and briefing, through proposal management, all the way to issuing contracts and drafting scopes. You’ll work across multiple projects and deadlines, managing processes, organising meetings, following up action points, and keeping accurate partnership records.
You’ll champion the partner experience and ensure we always deliver value. This includes meeting with organisations to explore their goals, and briefing colleagues on new partners’ needs. You’ll also lead on our marketing and webinar programme, coordinating plans and working with colleagues and freelancers to deliver outstanding content.

About you

Men's Minds Matter brings psychological clinical expertise and lived experience to suicide prevention and intervention. In 2021, we launched the MMM model of psychological entrapment and suicidal crises (PESC-M), which now underpins everything we do. This is the first model of its kind, and we believe it has the potential to save many lives.
Our model underpins everything we do from training workshops, research, campaigning, and intervention development across multiple platforms. We are looking for someone as dedicated as we are to oversee our business development and help grow our future financial sustainability.

This is a hugely exciting opportunity to join Gloucester Cathedral as it enters a key period of development. We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and highly skilled individual to oversee our small but busy fundraising function, helping to develop and implement our Fundraising Strategy and deliver Cathedral’s Development Plan. The Director of Programmes will contribute to The Africa Centre’s emerging strategic priorities, overseeing and delivering programmes and related project activity. They will play a leading role in delivering our learning and inclusion work, developing audiences, existing and new, and oversee all The Africa Centre programme activity across the UK, on the African continent and in the wider African Diaspora.
As part of the Senior Leadership team, they will play an important part in driving the vision, mission, and values of The Africa Centre as a world-leading organisation at the forefront of debate, dialogue, and social purpose around our five core pillars of arts & culture, education, community development, entrepreneurship & innovation and thought leadership. Through innovative programme development, they will ensure that the urgent issues faced by people of African descent are reflected and addressed in The Africa Centre’s activity profile. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Leadership
- Oversee, convene and deliver TAC programmes, developing live and digital content in line with our strategic priorities.

- Seek out, develop, and sustain networks, stakeholders and partnerships at local, regional and global levels, and explore new ways for the charity to grow and develop at the cutting edge of global ideas
- Identify opportunities to develop The Africa Centre events across the UK and digitally, to reach wider audiences and deepen brand recognition across the year.
- Identify project funding to develop audiences, increase diversity and meet equalities objectives.
- Oversee learning and engagement programmes in the UK.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Essential
- A clearly-evidenced long-standing passion for Africa and people of African Descent
- 3 - 5 years working at a senior level in a similar role
- Excellent Programme Management experience with excellent budget management skills
- Excellent communication and networking skills, adept at effectively engaging people across a range of settings – from school children to Prime Ministers and Presidents;
- Educated to degree level of equivalent (relevant subject area)
