Purpose of job

This new role will lead on Individual and Events fundraising for Oasis Hub Waterloo with a focus on securing funds for Lambeth & Croydon Foodbank and our associated Advice services. This will include developing our awareness and capacity to gain income from High-Net-Worth Individuals, Events and Legacies.

Field Studies Council Epping Forest is situated in the heart of Epping Forest, an area of around 2,400 hectares of wood-pasture stretching from Manor Park in East London to just north of Epping in Essex.

Two thirds of the Forest have been designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) and a Special Area of Conservation (SAC). We are seeking a Senior Bid Development Officer to support future sustainability, growth and development for Refuge within the VAWG sector.  You will work as part of a small but dynamic Development Team; identifying and assessing opportunities, working collaboratively to facilitate the design of services, and producing compelling and persuasive written material in response to complex tender opportunities.  Understanding the needs of both our service users and our commissioners will be critical to ensuring success in this role.

The geographical region will cover anything west of Bridgend and up to Aberystwyth. Ideally, candidates would be based in the Carmarthen/Llanelli area. This is a home-based role, with frequent travel throughout Wales, and monthly travel to Cardiff.

Scope of role

This recently created role within the Noah’s Ark Charity, which will grow our regional community fundraising presence and offering.  The postholder will know the West Wales area well and will become the expert in fundraising opportunities within the region, building strong relationships within the community, including companies and will develop supporter-led activity. The postholder will plan for and deliver income for the charity within the region, in line with wider fundraising strategy. 

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Income generation

- To plan for and deliver income to target through key performance indicators as agreed with community fundraising manager.

- To develop new supporter relationships within the community, in a planned way, to achieve income and provide excellent supporter care to ensure the relationship is ongoing, beyond one-off support for the charity.

- To lead on and deliver community fundraising within the region, through relationships with patient families, third party fundraisers, community groups, schools and education establishments and public bodies.

- To build strong corporate partnerships within the region, to an agreed income level, with the support of the community fundraising manager and head of fundraising and development.

- To lead on key projects to develop income generation.

- To contribute to the strategic development of community fundraising.

- Plan and deliver events in the community where necessary.

- Secure and deliver engaging presentations to groups and organisations.

2. Ambassador programme

- To build the family ambassador programme within the region, growing the network of key supporters who will represent and be the face of the charity within their local community.

- Support the community fundraising manager with the development of the ambassador programme including training and thanking opportunities.

3. Supporter experience

- To champion consistent and excellent supporter care.

- To record all communications accurately on the database, ensuring information is gathered and recorded in accordance with the requirements of the data protection act, GDPR and the charity’s data protection policy.

- To respond to supporter enquiries in a timely manner and deal with complaints, escalating as appropriate.

- To deliver an excellent supporter journey and contribute to the central supporter journey for community fundraising. 

4. Cross team working

- To work collaboratively with fundraising colleagues across the team to deliver wider fundraising income and charity objectives.  For example, gifts in wills, regular giving, event participation, volunteering and communications.

5. Budgets

- Work with the community fundraising manager and head of fundraising and development, to build and manage a detailed fundraising budget, including income and expenditure.

- Provide forecasts throughout the year, for agreed streams of income.

6. Best practice

- Ensure all fundraising practice is in line with organisational guidelines and policies.

- Encourage and champion compliance and best practice within the fundraising team.

- Ensure own compliance with fundraising standards and requirements, keeping up to date with key policies and regulations, including the fundraising regulator, chartered institute of fundraising and the charity commission.

7. Undertake any other duties which might be required to fulfil the general purpose of the post.

The Community Fundraising Team is an integral part of the Charity Fundraising Portfolio, by supporting a diverse range of inspiring supporter led fundraising activities. It is an exciting time to join the Team, as we plan for 25/26.

You will be one our Six Regional Community Fundraisers, based across the UK. Covering the East of England, you will focus on our key audiences of Individuals, Supporter Groups, Community organisations, Regional Corporates & Volunteers. Through the provision of exceptional stewardship & fundraising support, you will engage the community, maximising opportunities to raise funds in the Region. You will make the most of your boundless energy & creativity to inspire our community and will be the regional driving force, ensuring our Supporter Groups continue to thrive, & our annual Community Fundraising Campaigns including, The Big Bake & Twilight Walk Own Walks are a success.

The National Youth Agency is looking for a new Assessment & Data Administrator to join our Academy Team.
 
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Part time – 18.5 hours per week
Salary: £25,000 per annum (pro rata £12,500)
Remote: This role is homebased with occasional travel for staff residentials and other events.

About the Role
 
We are looking for someone who thrives on following set processes and being organised, with exceptional attention to detail. Accuracy and a drive for perfection are essential qualities for anyone undertaking this role. 
 
The Assessment and Data Administrator role is responsible for assisting with online assessment systems to ensure that full compliance of awarding organisations requirements are adhered to. Additionally, this individual will be the first point of call within the team for candidate or customer queries around our operational processes. 
 
We are looking for a positive, self-starter with strong organisational skills, who is confident with managing multiple tasks, and priorities and is able to provide an efficient support. The ideal candidate will be able to work well in a team and also work of their own initiative, confidently communicate with stakeholders at varying levels of seniority and display judgement, integrity and trustworthiness as you will be privy to learner information.
 
To be considered for this role, the successful candidate must have previous experience of working with IT and online learning platforms and be confident in managing the breadth of tasks within this function.
 
Key responsibilities for this role will include:

• Registration of learners across awarding organisation(s) for all courses.
• Maintenance of learner records with the awarding organisation(s).
• Supporting lead IQA in preparation for external quality assurance visits.
• Management of and claiming of completed certificates and their distribution to learners across all courses. 
• Maintaining accurate records of learner data for reporting and planning purposes. 
• Supporting the Academy team by providing data on learner number, course breakdown and completion rates. 
• Handle incoming enquiries relating to Academy operational processes. 
• Create effective interactions with customers across various platforms. 
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to escalate and resolve complex customer queries, fostering a seamless customer journey. 
• Managing customer queries and assigned inbox. 
• Ensure the NYA follows best safeguarding best practice. 
• Ensure all operational activity and youth work content is to the highest quality, representing the position of NYA as the National Body for Youth Work in England.

• Contribute to the development and improvement of the customer service knowledge base, ensuring relevant and up-to-date information is available. 
• Provide support to the Academy Team and wider NYA as appropriate 
• Provide effective call handling day-to-day.
