Our Relationship Managers are the face of CRUK within the community, liaising with external supporters on a day to day basis. Focusing on the heart of CRUKs core purpose, our Relationship Mangers are passionate about raising money through building long last relationships with our supporters.
We're looking for a natural people person, either from a sales or charity background, with excellent relationship building skills. You'll be used to managing conflicting priorities and be adaptable in an environment where no two days are the same. Part this role will be desk based where you will use your relationship skills and experience to engage with individual supporters who have pledged to leave a gift in their will or made an enquiry to find out more about legacy giving. You could currently work as a Relationship Manager, Community Engagement Manager or Account Manager.
What will I be doing?
Relationship Managers work within the community to provide supporters with an exceptional level of stewardship, going above and beyond to deliver tailored information about legacy giving and offer the opportunity to attend Cancer Research UK events. They will inspire and motivate supporters to develop long-term relationships and maximising fundraising opportunities across the portfolio.

About us
Our Cancer Awareness Roadshow was founded in 2006 in partnership with Ronan Keating and the Marie Keating Foundation. It plays a vital role in achieving our vision of beating cancer sooner by directly reaching people most in need with tailored health messages, encouraging them to make positive changes to their health and signposting to local health services. The Roadshow currently consists of three mobile units that visit some of the UK's most deprived and diverse communities where cancer incidence and mortality rates are significantly above average.
Our regular Cancer Awareness Roadshow was developed off the back of the Roadshow in 2015, to enable us to have more in-depth ongoing conversations with people, to help them to sustain change in a supportive environment. The Glasgow activity is a regular indoor Roadshow only model, with a usual pattern of three days a week of Roadshow sites and one admin day.

What will I be doing?
The Integration Architect is responsible for leading the design effort and guiding the continuous improvement of our application and data integration practices, enabling Cancer Research UK to become the most adaptive, resilient, and innovative organisation it can be.
The role entails coaching and guiding colleagues to successfully implement complex integration solutions that bind together the applications developed by our product teams. The Integration Architect will work across our Technology portfolio, however their initial focus is expected to be on integrating our Fundraising products (e.g. Online Payments, Event Management) with our Data products to provide a 360 view of our interactions with supporters, which can then be published to our future CRM and Marketing platforms (Salesforce and Adobe Campaign respectively).
Key Responsibilities include:
- Lead the definition of integration and data migration approaches including establishing patterns, standards, and best practices in collaboration with engineers. Develop and maintain guidance material and working examples to support engineers.
- Promote the adoption of integration approaches through coaching and working with engineers in product teams. Take a "hands-on" role in leading the adoption of the approaches, supporting engineers by working with them to deliver solutions.
- Lead the design of complicated, complex, or novel integration solutions. Support teams in planning, designing, and executing data migration initiatives
- Lead, as part of the wider CRUK technology governance framework, the governance processes that will support the adoption of our chosen integration approaches
- Work with the QA Engineering team to define testing and quality assurance standards and practices for integration solutions, including creating automated tests to test compliance with standards.
What skills and experience are we looking for?
Essential:
- Up to date and deep understanding of established and emerging trends in integration platforms and approaches across multiple integration styles (batch processing, ETL, message-based, event-based, api-driven, microservices)
- Practical experience of developing integration and data migration approaches within a modern enterprise environment that includes applications hosted in public cloud, on prem and SAAS applications
- Demonstrable experience of leading software engineering teams (at least 5 people), including coaching engineering staff and improving their skills
- Demonstrable hands-on experience of implementing AWS services to develop back-end components and data pipelines: AWS Lambda, SQS, EventBridge, Glue, Athena etc.
