Job description

We are looking for an experienced Interim IT, Data and Digital Manager to lead Catalyst’s technology, data systems and digital development during a 3–4 month fixed-term assignment. This pivotal role will oversee day-to-day IT operations, strengthen data and reporting, drive digital transformation and ensure our systems are secure, effective and aligned with the needs of staff, services and the people we support. We are seeking someone who can start as soon as possible.

Location: Hybrid/Woking – three days in the office and two days working from home

Salary: £40,000 per annum

Hours: Full time, 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Working pattern: To be agreed
Contract type: Fixed term for 3–4 months
Target start date: As soon as possible

Key responsibilities:

·        Provide leadership across IT, data and digital, delivering strategic projects that support Catalyst’s mission and organisational goals.

·        Manage the relationship with Catalyst’s external IT partner and oversee reliable, responsive day-to-day IT operations.

·        Lead the development, implementation and ongoing improvement of secure data systems, reporting and performance measures.

·        Act as Data Protection Officer, supporting GDPR compliance, data privacy and the management of complex Subject Access Requests.

·        Drive digital transformation and change initiatives that improve processes, services and outcomes.

·        Lead and develop the internal data team, setting clear goals and supporting effective performance.

·        Work collaboratively with Marketing and Communications, Service Delivery and other teams to ensure digital tools and systems meet operational needs.

About you

Essential:

·        Leadership experience across IT, data and digital, with a proven ability to manage complex IT systems and day-to-day operations.

·        Experience managing external IT providers and developing, implementing or improving secure data systems and reporting.

·        Strong knowledge of GDPR, with practical experience managing complex Subject Access Requests.

·        Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical colleagues.

·        Ability to prioritise competing demands, communicate workflows clearly, solve problems and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

·        Flexible approach to working across operational sites and from home, with occasional evening or weekend work where required.

Desirable:

·       Formal IT qualification to degree level and/or specialist Microsoft accreditation.

·       Experience in the voluntary or charity sector, particularly within mental health or social services.

·       Experience supporting an organisation to develop and lead its data and digital capability.
