Area Retail Manager

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Area Retail Manager to join our retail team. You will join us working 35 hours per week, on a fixed term contract for 12 months and will be based in or around London & the Southeast. In return you will receive a salary of up to £39,772.80 per annum (+ £3,600 car allowance) plus excellent benefits

Please note, this area includes Surrey, Sussex, Suffolk & London.

Since 1927, Cats Protection has helped thousands of cats each year, across the UK. As a community of volunteers, employees, supporters and partners, we’ve improved the lives of millions of cats and transformed the way millions of people see and care for cats.

Each of our shops has its own charm and personality due to our dedicated volunteers and colleagues. From vintage jewelry and jigsaws to harps and handbags, whether our customers are looking for that 'must have' item or simply a 'missing piece', our team of Area Retail Managers oversee the retail operation within their dedicated region. We are helping the environment while improving the lives of cats, one t-shirt at a time.

Responsibilities of our Area Retail Manager:

As Area Retail Manager you will apply commercial judgement and creativity to drive sales and maximise profits by supporting shop within your area to achieve their full potential. You will empower shop teams to achieve their targets by providing inspirational leadership to shop teams. This is a varied role where you be responsible for over 15 shops and requires the successful candidate to be flexible to travel around the region.

What we’re looking for in our Area Retail Manager:

• Experience in a multi-site retail management position
• Experience of managing employees, including recruitment, retention, performance management and dealing with disciplinary situations
• Experience of setting and managing income and expenditure targets
• Ability to build & maintain positive working relationships with a variety of people, both paid & voluntary
• Full driving license and access to a vehicle
