Remote (Office space in London if preferred, occasional travel 1-2 times)
Starting 4th July

Pay: £13.18 per hour plus £1.59 holiday pay per hour

Charity People have partnered with a brilliant charity to help find them their new Communications Assistant. This organisation is vibrant and ambitious, keen to continuously learn and grow to help people maximise their impact to create lasting change to today's challenges. The Communications Assistant will support colleagues across the External Affairs team in a flexible and varied role. Duties include managing day to day online communication via social media channels of the charity, working alongside the rest of the team to deliver compelling stories and maximise impact. There will be opportunities for developing project management skills in various External Affairs projects.

You will support the team (3 people) to help deliver their media strategy and provide high quality social media content across multiple platforms. The organisation mainly uses LinkedIn and Instagram, and it would be brilliant if you have used Buffer and Canva. Other duties include managing the communications inbox, responding to queries, scheduling team meetings, and general administrative tasks. The successful candidate will bring proven experience in communications or marketing role, and possess strong digital and written skills, be an excellent communicator, and be happy to immerse yourself in new concepts, and ideas. This is an interesting role and would be ideal for someone wanting to develop their skills in a communications role. You will take a mature approach, able to take direction, and bring enthusiasm and curiosity to the role.
