We are seeking a proactive and experienced Fundraising Manager to join us on a part-time or full-time basis (minimum 3 days per week). This role will lead and manage our small fundraising team and drive income generation across a range of activities. This is a key role responsible for the planning, implementation, and monitoring of our fundraising strategy, ensuring we achieve our financial targets and can continue to provide essential support to survivors.

The Fundraising Manager will work closely with the CEO, Business Development Officer, Trusts and Foundations Fundraiser, and the wider team, to implement both strategic and operational elements of our fundraising efforts. This includes leading on the coordination and delivery of our multi-strand fundraising strategy, specifically including corporate fundraising, sponsorship opportunities, and the development of income-generating training and development programmes. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing distinct strategies for longer-term contract funding, while ensuring alignment with the overarching fundraising strategy.

This role reports directly to the CEO and is a permanent contract, with a competitive salary range of £38,850 - £43,050 (pro rata if part time). It includes a generous 30-day annual leave allowance, plus bank holidays, with 5 days to be taken over Christmas (as the office is closed for two weeks).

This role offers flexibility and can be undertaken remotely for the right candidate, with travel required to our Carlisle headquarters on an ad hoc basis as required.

About the role

As Corporate Fundraiser you'll lead the cultivation, stewardship and growth of business partnerships. You'll do this through developing and implementing a corporate income strategy to an agreed annual target and meeting financial targets and identified KPIs. You'll plan, execute and evaluate Hospice-led events targeted at corporate supporters, and will work closely with existing supporters to maximise the value of relationships.

Additionally, you'll identify and target new business supporters and opportunities to generate income from new relationships. Working with the Fundraising Manager, you'll be responsible for maintaining and growing corporate income with the targets for the Department.

About you

Working arrangements

This is a 12 month fixed term contract. 

This is a blended role, where your work will be dual located between your home and our London office. There will be a requirement for flexible out of hours working to support occasional evening and weekend activity. You will be compensated for this with time off in lieu.

Purpose of the job

Working across the Network Delivery Department, you will support the efficient day to day administration and co-ordination of the teams. You will play a critical role providing administrative and co-ordination support for the Network Delivery Department ensuring we have strong processes and ways of working to deliver our ambitious goals. You will support individual project teams to deliver specific work streams to help us enable all young people to thrive.

 

Key responsibilities

Provide administrative and coordination support to the Network Delivery Department to ensure the smooth running of the Department. This includes but is not limited to:

• Support the implementation of new systems and processes across the Department and ensure all are kept up to date

• Maintain team and departmental inboxes and provide first point of contact for enquiries, working across the team to ensure efficient communication and stakeholder satisfaction

• Provide logistical and administrative support to Project Managers relating to the delivery of our youth work programmes and activities with our networks

• Administrative duties including scheduling meetings, minute taking and booking venues/ catering

• Coordinate logistics for the delivery of events and public affairs activity related to the department

• Support ongoing work on departmental process improvement and new filing systems on SharePoint

• Manage and maintain databases and CRM; champion CRM use across the department

• Maintaining budgets, as appropriate

• Booking and arranging travel for young people participating in our programmes

• Manage departmental meetings and support with arranging team away days

• Managing the creation of a range of project documents using Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access and other software packages

• Support the development of marketing and communications materials
