This role sits within the Mission and Evangelism Directorate. The role will seek to develop our safeguarding culture and practice. The Safeguarding Lead will work with individuals across all of Church Army including our employees, Commissioned Evangelists, and Mission Community. The Safeguarding Lead is the first point of contact for any safeguarding concerns or allegations and is responsible for ensuring the organisation responds in a trauma-informed manner as well as in line with the standards and expectations set out. The post holder will have had experience of managing organisational risks in relation to safeguarding and be familiar with the guidance set by the National Safeguarding Team for Religious Communities.

As our Security Engineer, you'll be at the frontline of our cyber defence, working closely with the Security Operations Manager to monitor, maintain and enhance our security tools and services. You'll collaborate with external security providers, including our 24/7 Security Operations Centre (SOC), responding to security alerts and ensuring threats are identified and addressed promptly.

Your expertise will help us stay ahead of emerging security risks. From managing security controls to running vulnerability scans and analysing threats, your role will be integral in keeping our systems protected. You’ll also work alongside our IT teams, ensuring that security best practices are embedded across all projects and changes.

About You

You’ll have experience working in cyber security, system engineering, or a similar role, with hands-on knowledge of security tools such as anti-malware, content filtering, SIEM and threat detection solutions. A strong understanding of Windows OS, Linux, and MacOS is essential, along with experience working with technology suppliers and outsourced services.

You should have or be working towards professional security and technical certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CCNA, SSCP, CEH, or CREST CPSA/CRT, GIAC. Knowledge of Microsoft security suite, vulnerability scanning, working knowledge of network infrastructure or scripting languages like Python and PowerShell would be advantageous.

Knowledge of housing, regeneration and the wider work of NHC members is desirable but not essential.

• Manage and implement the NHC’s public affairs strategy and plan.
• Manage and arrange a programme of events, visits and tours for parliamentarians, civil servants, and stakeholders – in Westminster and the North of England.

What's the role about?

The responsibilities of the Assistant Finance Business Partner will include:

• Producing management accounts for relevant budget holders and contributing to GPA’s client budget process
• Provide advice on financial treatment of project costs to ensure that all items are correctly assessed for capitalisation, and that the treatment of abortive costs and feasibility works are appropriately treated as RDEL, while being allocated to the correct projects
• Contributing to property reconciliations to ensure all expenditure has been fully recovered from tenants
• Attendance at monthly stakeholder meetings to support the management of projects, supply chain and client relationships
• Supporting any client discussions as required to ensure recovery of billed amounts, keeping accrued income minimal and controlled
• Building a network internally with other finance teams to ensure smooth transition of data and knowledge between interlinked processes, and contributing as part of the wider finance team
• Promote continuous improvement by developing and improving accounting processes and procedures relating to projects and other expenditure
• Preparing balance sheet reconciliations including accruals and prepayments
• Analysing financial performance to identify variances and ensuring transactions are accounted for correctly
• Take ownership of key financial processes, including the preparation and processing of journals, while supporting both internal and external audits.
• Play a proactive role in facilitating forecasting and reporting activities, and use your analytical skills to identify trends, risks, and opportunities within the financial data to inform strategic decision-making

Key Skills & Experience 

• CCAB or equivalent part-qualified or finalist-level candidates required, full qualification desirable.
• Experience in facilities management or estates-related roles (e.g. property management, construction projects) is preferable, however candidates from other backgrounds will be considered.
• Strong month-end management accounting experience required; finance business partnering experience is advantageous.
• Confident communicator with proven stakeholder engagement skills.

The Administrative Support Officer role offers an exciting opportunity to directly influence the efficiency and impact of our work. Working with the Executive Coordinator you will provide administrative support to the wider Leadership Team, enabling them to deliver ambitious plans at a time of organisational growth. 

It involves collaborating closely with Global Canopy team members, particularly Communications Leads, to develop and deliver comprehensive project plans for key external-facing events such as London and New York Climate Weeks (annually), climate COPs (annually), and biodiversity COPs (biennially). 

The successful applicant will serve as the primary point of contact for summit-related events, coordinating meetings, tracking follow-up actions, and providing updates through internal communications. You will oversee all logistical arrangements, including conference registration, travel, accommodation, visa procurement, and insurance, while preparing travel packs for attendees. 

A confident self-starter, you will be able to juggle multiple priorities, across different teams, with excellent IT and organisational skills with a need to log, manage and analyse information, using Excel, Google Workspace applications, and Asana.
