Job description

About Us

Choose Love supports refugees and forcibly displaced people across the world, ensuring they have what they need when they need it. The support we provide ranges from lifesaving search and rescue boats to hot, nutritious food, clothes and legal advice. We’re a small, agile and ambitious team who are powered by our vision of a world that chooses love and justice every day for everyone.

As our Office and Facilities Manager, you won't just keep the lights on and the supplies stocked you'll be the person who makes our office a place people actually want to be. You'll bring warmth, energy and sharp organisational instincts to everything from health & safety and vendor contracts to onboarding new colleagues and pulling off brilliant team events. You'll also lend a hand to our People team with day-to-day HR admin, so a genuine interest in people operations is a real plus.

What you'll be doing:

  • Running the office day-to-day supplies, suppliers, maintenance, tech liaison, and everything in between
  • Leading on health & safety, fire risk assessments, evacuation drills and workplace compliance
  • Being the friendly first point of contact for office and facilities queries, and for general enquiries via our website
  • Supporting the People team with HR admin onboarding, records, recruitment coordination and starter/leaver processes
  • Organising all-staff meetings, away days and key events that bring our culture to life
  • Negotiating contracts and driving value for money with external suppliers

What we're looking for:

  • A proven track record running a fast-paced, high-functioning office
  • Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities calmly
  • Experience negotiating and managing contracts and external contractors
  • Confidence with MS Office, Google Workspace and everyday office systems
  • Solid working knowledge of office health & safety and risk management
  • A discreet, trustworthy approach to sensitive information
  • A natural host someone who makes people feel welcome, valued and included
  • A genuine commitment to Choose Love's mission and to embedding EDI into everything you do

Charity sector experience is a bonus, not a requirement what matters most is your energy, your organisational skill, and your commitment to creating a workplace where people can do their best work.

If you're a proactive problem-solver who thrives on variety and wants your work to genuinely matter, we'd love to hear from you.
