Capital Project Manager – St George the Martyr, Bloomsbury
Salary: £50,000 p.a.

St George the Martyr, is an architecturally significant Grade II* listed church in Bloomsbury and an important part of London's Georgian and Victorian Heritage. We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Capital Project Manager to lead the Development Stage of a major conservation and improvement project funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of one of London’s most important historic churches and play a key role in its restoration and renewal.
About the Role
As a Client Project Manager, you will play a key role in the delivery of our vision for the future of St George the Martyr, including saving the church, classed as Heritage at Risk, and creating a welcoming, active and inclusive church that engages people traditionally under-served by heritage. You will be responsible for managing and coordinating all areas of the PCC’s activity in the Development Stage of the capital project, supporting a team of specialist consultants and the Design Team. Working closely with the Rector and Project Board, you will lead the internal and external project team, ensuring the Client’s interests are represented throughout.
About You
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and managing all aspects of the capital project on behalf of the client.
- Coordinating and procuring the multi-disciplinary project team and consultants.
- Managing the project budget, reporting to funders, and ensuring compliance with funding agreements.
- Acting as the key liaison with stakeholders, funders, and the Project Board.
- Overseeing design development, procurement, risk, and programme delivery.
You will need:
- Strong project management skills, ideally with a recognised qualification (e.g., APM, RICS, PRINCE2).
- Experience delivering multi-million-pound, heritage-focused capital projects.
- Understanding of heritage and faith sectors, particularly Church of England contexts.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills.

Are you an experienced Angular developer who would like to join with other Christians in Tearfund's work with local churches around the world tackling poverty?
This role within a team of 13 developers will allow you to use your strong technical experience to serve people living in poverty in more than 50 countries around the world through providing effective applications for the design, monitoring & evaluation of our front-line projects and for our finance staff.
This is a key time for the team as we start the migration of our project design, monitoring & evaluation application to Angular. In this post you will work alongside our other Angular developers, sharing their expertise and building an application which will enable our staff and local church partners around the world to demonstrate the amazing impact of our work in the communities we work with.
The team is also crucial to our finance staff, being responsible for the development and support of an Angular application which is critical for finance data entry across the countries we work in. We are keen to leverage AI to increase productivity in this area so experience in working with AI technologies, or an interest in learning, would be an advantage.
Although not essential, experience of Power BI would also be useful as we extend our reporting suite, using our SQL Server data warehouse to demonstrate the impact of our work and provide vital financial information to staff across Tearfund. Thanks to our MS Azure integrations, our data warehouse contains combines data from multiple applications and our developers are key in bringing that data to life in ways that can help users across the organisations make data-led business decisions.

The Role
The key purpose of this role is to work as a “right hand” to the Associate Vicar, as an Executive Assistant and lead of key projects. Listed below are the key elements that the role holder will be doing:
Email, Diary Management & General Administration
• Drafting high volume of emails, correspondence, enquiries, managing the email inbox and ensuring that replies and responses are timely and appropriate
• Oversee diary of AV and manage key dates and appointments in church cycle, book and set-up appointments, coordinate meetings, set-up Zoom links, include briefing notes for AV and coordinate all relevant information for meetings

Sunday Services
• Support AV in the running and oversight of 10 services across 6 sites at HTB and specifically with the 9.30am and 11.30am services at HTB Brompton Road
• Organise information and map out strategy and plan for special services, key points in the church calendar (Christmas, Easter, Vision series, Leadership Conference, Focus)
• Liaising with external speakers, processing honorariums, handling comms and coordination logistics for all outside speaker invitations and serving as the point of contact for guests – including sourcing books and resources, organising transportation, liaising with speaker team and coordinating with Director of Comms on any major requests
Budget, Strategy & Governance
• Assist AV with budget and strategy and annual salary review process for all HTB staff and also help with HR and recruitment issues where necessary
• Assist AV with strategy documents for HTB and the annual strategy process to ensure all HTB ministry departments aligned with overall goals and objectives for HTB set by the vicar
• Ensure accountability and clear communications with HTB Department Heads for all ministry areas and drafting of internal comms for internal HTB staff team
PCC & wider Church of England
• Assist with drafting PCC reports and documents for HTB where needed working closely with the Group COO’s office
• Support AV with communications with Chelsea Area Deanery, Kensington Area Council and all wider Church of England matters and requests (Diocese of London, Archdeacons, Legal Agreements, etc)
• Help HTB to ensure it is compliant with all C of E requirements and maintains good working relationships with the Diocese of London
• Support AV to ensure that all safeguarding matters/requirements fulfilled and clear communication with Safeguarding Officer
• Assist AV with managing matters relating to HTB’s accessibility matters (i.e. disability and special needs), sustainability policy and approaches, recruitment and staff policies, etc.
Project Management

Parish Finance Administrator - Job Description
Main Duties
Financial Management
- Liaise with and provide financial information to the Diocesan Finance team as required.
- Prepare and manage the parish budget for approval by the Parish Priest and Finance Committee.
- Prepare quarterly accounts and reports for Finance Committee meetings and attend these meetings.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including income, expenditure, and bank reconciliation using the approved Diocesan Finance System (currently XERO).
- Oversee the collection, counting, and banking of offertory and other parish income, ensuring proper procedures are followed.
- Raise and process invoices, payments, and reimbursements in a timely and accurate manner.
- Prepare monthly and annual financial reports for the Parish Priest and Finance Committee, ensuring transparency and compliance with diocesan requirements.

One of 17 UK centres, Spear Ipswich work with 16-24 years old who face barriers to employment equipping them with the skills and mindset to find work and thrive.
They are now looking for a Centre Manager who can oversee all aspects of the programme coordination and delivery, to ensure it is delivered in line with agreed targets, reporting to Resurgo and the church, whilst providing effective leadership to the Assistant Coaches.
All Spear coaches work face-to-face with young people, having the privilege to invest in their lives, but receive regular training as a group, so you’d be joining a network of many likeminded coaches eager to see young people’s lives radically impacted. You’ll work with and be supported by the River Church locally, and by a Church Partnerships Manager from Resurgo, to ensure the flourishing of the Spear centre, its team and young people, and to ensure the fulfilment of their shared mission in Ipswich.

The Restored Beacon Network is a national network of churches that provide a place of welcome and safety for those who have experienced domestic abuse. Beacon churches partner with us to receive training, guidance and resources so that they can effectively support survivors in their congregations and communities, shining a light in the darkness of domestic abuse and journeying with them on the road to recovery.
The Restored Beacon Network manager will work with the CEO to grow and develop this important network of churches. This is an exciting opportunity - a brand new project and role, which is critical to the success of ID Grace House UK. Grace House is a 6 bedroomed property, offering safe and secure accommodation for women leaving prison, who would otherwise be homeless. We will be offering life skills training to all residents and ongoing support.
Our aim is to get residents into employment and accommodation of their own.
CHRISTIAN HOUSE MANAGER
You will have experience in leading a team to maintain a stable, happy and caring environment.
You will be highly motivated and passionate about the rehabilitation of women leaving prison.
You will be committed to supporting vulnerable women, enabling them to build on their existing strengths to make positive changes in their lives.
You will have overall responsibility for the continuous improvement and consistency of the day-to-day delivery of the project and be responsible for financial planning and have budgetary responsibilities.
You will help to ensure that Grace House becomes a centre of excellence and help set a positive example of the rehabilitation of prison leavers
You will maintain and further the excellent reputation we currently have with our referral prisons to ensure a constant flow of residents, reducing the likelihood of voids.
You will liaise with venue staff where our #SheMatters community courses are run, overseeing a timetable of courses and ensure that all course provision meets the high standards set by ID Grace House UK.
You will have personal experience of running courses with vulnerable and sometimes chaotic women. The Course Facilitators make up part of the Grace House Team.
You will be responsible for and have experience of fundraising and be willing to work alongside the Imago Dei staff team to ensure the project is financially stable long term.
You will be willing to undertake on call duties out-of-hours.
KEY TASKS AND DUTIES:
• Ability to motivate, coach and manage the performance of the Grace House Team. To coach the Team on continuous personal development (CPD) and to undertake any qualifications relevant to their role;
• Ensure robust plans are created in partnership with residents, to support their progression and ensuring their voices are heard;
• Work with the residents of Grace House to help them address habits/choices made which brought them to offend: to assist them in regaining self-esteem, well-being and independence;
• Support the women in every aspect of adjusting to life out of prison, giving both practical and emotional help, and support women as they seek work and permanent housing;
• Lead by example to champion Grace House values, be respectful and compassionate. Manage any behaviour actioned by the Team that does not reflect the values of Grace House and train on the same.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Essential:
- Experience of supporting vulnerable women with mental health, substance misuse, domestic violence, challenging behaviours, offending behaviour
- Have CTC Prison Clearance or be willing to complete the vetting and checks for this
- A practicing Christian*
- Experience of managing a team
- Experience of working in the challenging environment of a prison setting or similar
- Experience of facilitating courses with women presenting challenging behaviours.
Desirable
- Experience with supporting prison leavers.

What You’ll Do:
