Citizens Advice Diss Thetford and District are looking for a Volunteering and Community Engagement Officer.

25 hours per week on a hybrid basis, based in our central Diss Office situated in the Market Place.

This is a new role in our organisation and forms a key part of our wider commitment to provide a positive volunteering journey, whilst developing a more diverse range of volunteer opportunities.

You will be working across the Citizens Advice district of Diss and Thetford, working with existing volunteers and partners, whilst sourcing new opportunities to collaborate with the communities we support, and developing key partnerships across the districts.

You must share our values to work as ‘one team’ and be prepared to be flexible in your delivery and in the days you work, to meet the needs of our communities.

We are undergoing some changes so this is an exciting time to be joining us as we develop a new organisational wide strategy as well as a community and volunteering strategy.

Our volunteers are very important to us and we want to ensure they have a positive experience and receive the opportunity to undergo excellent learning and development to enable them to thrive in a role they will enjoy and want to contribute to the wider success of our organisation as we move forwards.

The salary is £15.40 per hour

Mileage allowance paid at 0.55ppm

You will receive free membership to the Association of Volunteer Managers, a full induction, ongoing learning and development, a mentor and great terms and conditions.
