What You’ll Be Doing: 

• Establish and develop a responsive Business Partner type relationship with stakeholders and Senior Leadership Teams 

• Provide professional advice, support and coaching to Archdeacons and Senior Managers on the interpretation and application of all Ecclesiastical measures, HR policies, processes and procedures, ensuring these are applied fairly and consistently 

• Advise the Senior Leadership on the people management implications of church policy and people strategy 

• Effectively and efficiently manage a portfolio of HR casework and staff recruitment 

• Advise and recommend appropriate courses of action in line with relevant best practice, policies, employment legislation and statutory frameworks 

Who We’re Looking For: 

• At least 3 years’ experience of working at HR Partner or Adviser level in a generalist role covering HR practice 

• Experience of working in an HR role carrying out a range of HR duties, ideally in the church or charity sector 

• Experience of supporting managers in all areas of people matters, including recruitment, disciplinary, grievance, absence and sickness casework 

• Experience of working within a customer focused environment with the ability to establish good working relationships with a variety of people e.g., senior leaders, job applicants, employees

General Overview of Role

The post-holder will be responsible for writing bid applications within Combat Stress. This will include:

• Support the development and delivery of Combat Stress's bid writing under the leadership of the Director of Fundraising (DoF) and Head of Trusts and Foundations (HTF), in order to support our role as a specialist UK-wide provider of mental health services to veterans with complex mental health needs.
• With guidance and support from DoF and HoTF contribute to the various stages of a bid or tender process.
• Support the team in managing service contracts.
• Ensure compliance with the business development framework and governance processes - with support from DoF and HoTF.

Main Duties and Key Responsibilities

• Complete bid writing in support of the business development agenda of Combat Stress, working with all departments in promoting our services to attract new business and supporting cost-effective service delivery.
• Contribute to our revenue generation agenda by owning and contributing to bid documents such as mobilisation or communication plans.
• Support the assessment of the healthcare market within which we operate, to ensure we are best placed to achieve growth and have the appropriate strategies to mitigate risks

The Role

As Fundraising Systems Coordinator, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of the charity’s fundraising operations. Working closely with the Head of Fundraising, you’ll manage a diverse portfolio of funders, grants, and donations, enabling them to meet fundraising targets and support young people across Gloucestershire.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting the implementation and management of a new CRM system to streamline fundraising operations

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Senior Finance Manager with a locally-led charity dedicated to ensuring the rights of children in west Africa on a permanent, full-time basis. As Senior Finance Manager you will lead the charity’s financial operations and play an important part in strengthening their financial systems and processes. A key part of the role early on is to improve the quality of financial data collection and processing by the project teams.

Please note, this role requires some travel including attending the London office once per month. Additionally, candidates looking for 4 days per week may be considered.

As Senior Finance Manager, you will:

- Be responsible for running all of the charity’s financial operations

- Deliver timely, accurate, and insightful financial reports (including monthly and quarterly management accounts) for the CEO and Board

- Support the charity’s plans to scale by playing a lead role in financial planning for their new programme. This includes helping to design budgets and financial management systems

- Support fundraising colleagues in preparing budgets and financial reports for donors

- Work closely with colleagues in West Africa to ensure policies, systems, and processes effectively track and manage funds in compliance with internal agreements and donor restrictions (particularly around restricted/unrestricted funds)

The successful applicant will:

- Have significant demonstrable experience in finance within the charity sector (ideally a similar type of organisation) in a similar role

- Have a good understanding of charity financial reporting, audits, compliance, and managing multi-currency financial operations

- Be a fully qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA etc)

- Have experience leading financial process improvements, particularly data collection and management reporting

- Be proficient in financial software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and advanced Excel skills

- Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

MiD Mediation and Counselling is looking for an experienced and dynamic Executive Director to be responsible for leadership and management of this busy charity that runs mediation and counselling for families that have separated or divorced. 

Relationship breakdown or separation can be painful and distressing for all concerned.  The charity plays a vital role in supporting families when they are going through some of the most challenging and stressful times in their life and we can help make a difference and find a positive way forward for these families. The organisation offers family and neighbourhood mediation and counselling for adults and children aged 4-18 as well as family therapy. 

Key responsibilities of the role include:

Overseeing and leading the admin team, mediators and counsellors

Generating income to support the charity

Reporting to the Board of Trustees, funders and Legal Aid Board

 Job Title: Head of Governance

 Salary:£83,000 per annum inclusive of OLW and MS this represents band I

 Working Hours: 35 hours per week

The Head of Governance will ensure that the organisation (including subsidiaries) has robust and effective governance in place which complies with statutory requirements and good practice in relation to company and charity law and charity governance. They will be a key strategic leader, expected to lead the development and improvement of governance at The Scouts.

The post holder will provide strategic leadership of the governance, and associated functions, supporting the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) to proactively and effectively lead and manage the organisation to operate efficiently at its best. They will also be a natural collaborator, working with key stakeholders such as The Head of Legal to provide high level technical advice to members of the Movement and TSA staff concerning governing documents and key decisions, whilst also supporting effective governance at headquarters.  

Key Responsibilities:

• As a key senior leader in the charity, and critical support to The Board of Trustees, provide strategic leadership for governance and its development at The Scouts
• Design and implement a strategic plan for the Governance function to meet the needs of the organisation
• Ensure that all legal vehicles across The Scout Association comply with all regulatory requirements and remain compliant with changes in charity law and the wider regulatory environment
• Work closely with the Head of Legal to ensure legal, regulatory and statutory compliance, and in particular that appropriate legal advice and guidance is applied to The Scouts decision making and governance processes, wherever, appropriate

As an Employment Advisor, you will sit within the Employment & Careers team, supporting the direct delivery of our employment service by recruiting beneficiaries through outreach and supporting them to secure or progress in employment.
 
Reporting to Head of Employment & Careers you will be required to manage and support a varied and challenging caseload into employment by providing high quality information and guidance. You will be expected to conduct in depth and comprehensive initial assessments in order to produce SMART and tailored action plans. 

Your role will also require meaningful weekly contact with beneficiaries, conducting regular reviews of agreed actions and setting revised actions where applicable. It is imperative that you are able to demonstrate and encourage a positive mind-set among beneficiaries by adopting a strengths based approach to their journey into employment. 

As an Employment Advisor, you will be expected to conduct employer engagement activity for the service, as well as support the delivery of job fairs and sector specific workshops. The role will also require you to ensure the service is at capacity levels by establishing and maintaining a network of referral partners and attending outreach events. 

You will have at least 1 year of experience working in a similar post supporting disadvantaged groups back to work and/or training and education. You will have experience of working in an evidenced based practice and working to set targets. You will be equipped with influencing and persuasion skills. 

You will also be responsible for conducting caseload reviews weekly/monthly and maintaining up to date beneficiary records on our internal systems.
