This is a great opportunity for an experienced generalist to join a small supportive team on a fixed term basis until early 2027 while we are implementing an HR Information system. The Business Partner is a key role within the People and Culture team. You will be working with managers, staff, staff side colleagues and volunteers, providing solution focused advice on a range of people issues. About the role

The Finance team works across three areas: Finance Systems and Data, Financial Control and Compliance, and Business Partnering. This role leads and develops these teams, ensuring they work well together and provide excellent support to colleagues across Scope.

The postholder is responsible for financial strategy, statutory and fiscal reporting, treasury management, budgeting and forecasting, and safeguarding the charity’s assets. This role provides senior leadership for the Anti-Bullying Alliance (ABA) and the Schools Wellbeing Partnership (SWP), two specialist membership groups hosted by the National Children’s Bureau that support schools, organisations and government to improve children and young people’s experiences of bullying, wellbeing and belonging. The post is a 10 month maternity leave cover position, focused on maintaining continuity, stability and impact across established programmes, partnerships and campaigns.

The Anti-Bullying Alliance (ABA) is a UK wide membership network of over 300 organisations working together to prevent bullying and create safer environments for children and young people. Key Responsibilities:

• Align local Smile Train UK public relations plans and media vendor partnerships with the global PR strategy, ensuring agencies align with Smile Train’s goals, brand voice, and strategic priorities.
• Manage Smile Train UK media outreach to the press to generate awareness and publish timely news through press release development, media pitches, media alerts, op-eds, etc. in alignment with global standards and priorities
• In collaboration with Smile Train headquarters, develop and execute Smile Train UK’s organic social media content and campaigns to enhance engagement, grow reach, and strengthen Smile Train UK’s brand presence across all platforms.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Engagement Programme 

• Plan, co-ordinate and deliver an engaging public programme of visitor led events, aimed at building new audiences and boosting our visitor numbers

• Work with the Finance Team, ensure all fees for engagement events are invoiced and paid for in advance 

 Relationships 

• Line management of the Cathedral Guides volunteer team, working with the Head Guide to ensure guides are kept up to date of Cathedral policy and are trained and delivering excellent customer service 
• Work with the Verging and Property team to ensure events are coordinated and delivered to a high professional standard  

 Other 

• Support the Head of Engagement to deliver large scale public events providing administrating and on the day delivery support

About the Role 
We are looking for a creative and compassionate individual to join our team as a Dementia Creative Arts Project Worker. This is an exciting opportunity to support people living with dementia through engaging, person-centred creative sessions delivered in their own homes. 

You will work with a cohort of volunteer artists, musicians, and performers to design and deliver tailored, one-off creative sessions that enhance wellbeing, communication, and social interaction. Key Responsibilities 

• Manage a caseload of clients living with dementia or cognitive impairment 

• Carry out person-centred assessments to understand clients’ interests, abilities, and needs
