Role Overview
We are seeking a dynamic, organised, and energised individual to join our team as the Executive Assistant to the Executive Director. This role will involve providing comprehensive support to the Executive Director. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient management of time, priorities, correspondence, meetings, and communications.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
· Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within the charity sector.

Key Responsibilities
· Manage the Executive Director’s diary, including scheduling meetings, coordinating with
colleagues to align diaries, and prioritising tasks in line with strategic priorities.
· Represent the Executive Director and OIN by greeting visitors, handling phone calls, and
managing communications with internal and external stakeholders.
· Manage key reporting processes, including receiving, approving, distributing reports, and
filing them accurately.
· Attend and minute meetings, both internal and external.
· Support the Executive Director in producing high-quality materials such as presentations,
documents, and reports, liaising with external agencies when necessary.
· Coordinate travel arrangements and accommodations for the Executive Director.
· Manage expenses and financial records for the Executive Director.
· Assist in the preparation of proposals, applications, and reports, providing administrative
support as needed.
· Support the Executive Director in maintaining relationships with donors, partners, and
stakeholders..
· Conduct research and gather information on relevant topics as requested.
· Facilitate internal communications within the organisation, including disseminating
information, coordinating team meetings, and maintaining communication channels.
· Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism,
maintaining confidentiality at all times.
· Undertake any other duties as assigned by the Executive Director or senior management
team.

About the Team
This interim role reports to the Director of Communications, Policy and Campaigns (CPC), alongside other Assistant Directors.
The CPC team drives Shelter's campaigns for social housing and renters' rights, supporting our services and income generation efforts.
You'll manage heads of important content and engagement teams, driving strategic direction and collaboration across functions.

As Assistant Director Communications and Content, you'll lead Shelter's communication efforts, ensuring impact, reach and a coherent organisational voice.

The role
We will need you to take a lead on evaluating the impact of each phase and use that information to shape the next. The campaign will have both online and offline activity and lots of moving parts, so you’ll need to be comfortable working in a fast paced environment.

- Work collaboratively across Scope to deliver our general election campaign, and help us make sure disabled people’s voices are heard by Government and politicians.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Marketing and Communications professional to join our team and support both the Metropolitan Cathedral of Christ the King and the wider archdiocese in developing engaging communications and marketing our events and initiatives. It is an exciting time for the Cathedral as our retail and hospitality outlets are redeveloped. Based within the Communications and IT Team within the Chief Operating Officer’s Department you will support the sharing of the good news of the archdiocese both internally and externally within our parishes, with clergy, schools, officers and stakeholders. As a team we are focussed on growing and developing our existing platforms including our websites and social media channels, as well as supporting the Archbishop, our parishes, clergy and other departments with communication and marketing needs. This role will also lead on supporting the archdiocese in telling the story of the Cathedral, past, present and future and helping build the vision of the new Visitor Centre. We are seeking an experienced professional who can help us translate our vision and engage with our communities and visitors to our city. The successful post-holder will work between St Margaret Clitherow Centre and the Cathedral (2 days per week), with travel across the Archdiocese as required. To thrive in this role you would need to be comfortable networking with a wide range of groups and individuals with differing levels of knowledge and experience. You will be a confident and skilled communicator who can develop creative plans to support our organisation.

This exciting Senior Policy & Public Affairs Officer (Scotland) role will manage a portfolio of policy and influencing activities and play a significant role developing the Foundation’s policy and public affairs work in Scotland. This is an opportunity to join one of the UK’s leading charities and deliver social change by addressing the root causes of mental health problems and improving the mental health of people in Scotland.
What does the role involve?
- Developing and sustaining relationships with valuable decision-makers, influencers and allies
- Developing and implementing impactful influencing plans
- Providing policy intelligence and analysis and writing evidence-based submissions, policy reports, position papers, briefings and blogs
- Engaging with people with lived experience
What skills, knowledge and experience are we looking for?
- Ability to shape and lead policy programmes professionally and strategically, working with others
- Skill in building strong relationships with relevant external stakeholders including senior officials, elected representatives, people with experience of mental health problems and people who experience inequity
- Experience of working in a public policy role, with experience of a range of policy and public affairs approaches and work
- Knowledge of public health and/or mental health policy or a related field
