Job description

Inclusion London is seeking to appoint a highly motivated, skilled and experienced Deaf or Disabled person for the post of:

Communications and Media Officer

Inclusion London is a leading disability equality organisation run by and for Deaf and Disabled people. We have built a national reputation for effective policy and campaign work and for providing innovative business and organisational support to local Deaf and Disabled people’s organisations (DDPOs) in London.

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Communications and Media Officer to help Inclusion London take our communications to the next level: developing and improving the coverage and effectiveness of our campaigns, justice and policy work across print, broadcasting and social media.

You will have experience of successfully using print, broadcasting and social media to support and raise the profile of campaigns; establishing relationships with key media contacts and influencers; developing high quality content for communications for diverse audiences including blog posts, emails, press releases, infographics and films and using the latest social media tools and approaches.

Inclusion London is committed to equality, diversity and human rights and reflecting the communities we serve. We particularly welcome applications from Deaf or Disabled people from Black, Asian and minority ethnic communities.

We support flexible working and large aspects of these jobs could be done remotely, however some travel to London to attend face-to -face meetings may be required depending on the Public Health advice. 

Salary:   £34,000 per annum pro rata

Hours:  21 hours per week

Length of employment: 12 month fixed term contract

Pension contribution:  Non-contributory pension 5%

Annual Leave:  25 days per year plus bank holidays pro rata
