Using a gender and trauma-informed approach, the Outreach & Engagement Worker will deliver 2-4 daytime outreach sessions per week in Manchester alongside partners, colleagues and volunteers. Roma Outreach Worker (Full-time, 12-month fixed term contract)

Victim Support has been commissioned to provide a new, bespoke service in Hull and the East Riding of Yorkshire which will provide support to those affected by a recent high profile police incident including fraud and other crime types. About the role:
As a Caseworker within this service, you will;
- Support people who are likely to be impacted by the effects of bereavement as well as being victims of crime
- Make calls to people referred to the service primarily by the police and our dedicated support line
- Assess their needs and any risks and agree a support plan
- Make regular contact with the individuals either by phone, video call or face to face as agreed with them
- Record actions and information on our case management system

About the Service
Ella House is an Accomodation Service that provides support to women who have experience Rough Sleeping, Trauma and Multiple Disadvantage. The aim of the project is to provide support to women for around 18 months to build skills to be able to live independently.
The service is a 24 hour service that runs on a shift pattern over the week and has a concierge service covering nights. Staff will provide holistic support to service users looking at all their needs and putting a robust plan in place.
About the Role
The Activities and Wellbeing worker will provide both 121 and group sessions. Speaking with women to understand their needs and wants and developing appropriate session plans. These can be wellbeing activities, skills based or creative depending on what the women require. There will be a small budget to accommodate activities.
About You
The ideal candidate will be passionate about working with vulnerable people from a strengths based approach. An understanding of Trauma and how to work in psychologiacally informed environments is essential in this role. Someone who is motivated and creative and able to build relationships with women and get them to engage in a variety of activities.

Are you interested in supporting people at immediate risk of rough sleeping and making a real difference to the lives of people who are homeless?
This exciting pilot is a new approach to preventing rough sleeping, through the provision of accommodation with onsite specialist move-on support to those who are at immediate risk of sleeping rough. The service will provide a route and support for single homeless clients who are presenting to the Local Authority Housing Options or day centres and at imminent risk of rough sleeping, but not yet rough sleeping.
Where their homelessness cannot be prevented by the council and they are at imminent risk of sleeping rough, a referral can be made into the Rough Sleeping Prevention service.
The service will be based across three London locations in Islington, Lambeth and Kensington and Chelsea and staff will be expected to work across all 3 services .
- 7 day rolling rota including early, mid and late shifts
- (K&C): medium – high support accommodation.
- (Lambeth): medium support accommodation.
- (Islington): Assessment hub space for up to 15 clients. Site will operate 24/7.
Each site will have staff delivering casework and support, providing each person with a comprehensive assessment of their needs and circumstances, and intensive specialist support to secure move on.
The service will work in partnership with the local authority to secure onward move-on options e.g. access the council PRS scheme, advocating for access to supported housing.
As an Assessment and Reconnection Worker, you will:

About the role:
As a Resettlement Worker and Domestic Abuse Specialist, you will work in person and remotely with clients who have support needs, in particular, those who are survivors of domestic abuse. In conjunction with other members of the Partnership, you will support our clients to engage with services and find accommodation solutions. You will work in a person-centered way to get the best prevention, relief and support outcomes for the client.
Main duties:
- To work with clients with support needs, to engage with their prevention, relief or advice goals by; Agreeing with them a support plan to deliver the actions identified in the Personalised Housing Plan.
- Undertaking specific short term interventions to progress a client’s prevention or relief goals, including providing advice and support to enable individuals to improve their health and wellbeing.
- Providing advice and signposting to support clients to access relevant housing and wider support services.
- Working in partnership with RMG Caseworkers to deliver holistic housing and support service.
- Providing support to clients to access private rented and supported accommodation options.
- Referring to specialist internal and external support services as appropriate, including health, addiction and employment services.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY

DIRECT WORK WITH CHILDREN AND THEIR FAMILIES

- To utilise evidence-based approaches to strengthen attachments and rebuilt relationships with the non-abusive parent that have been fractured as a result of domestic abuse
- To utilise trauma informed ways of working to reduce trauma symptoms and distress in children

- To assist the non-abusive parent / carer in their understanding of the impact of domestic abuse so that they can respond appropriately to the emotional needs of the children
- To attend and initiate mutli-agency meetings where required
- To ensure that children and families receive holistic support that is appropriate to their needs, including advocacy and referring to other services
- To deliver programmes of child-focused group work
- To understand risk and safeguarding issues and act appropriately in relation to risk at all times.
- To work within national, county and ESDAS guidelines, particularly in relation to good practice regarding children
- To provide written reports and case studies to senior management as and when required.
You will receive support and training and a competitive starting salary of £20,000 for a 28 hour week. Reduced hours may be possible by agreement. This is a two-year fixed term post with the possibility of becoming permanent after two years.

About the role:
The post holder will work within The Passage’s Community Services as a Complex Case Outreach Worker and will lead on case management for people experiencing homelessness who are presenting in the footprints in which the team operate and/or who are accessing the Resource Centre. The post-holder will support individuals with substance use support needs and/or mental health issues and will lead on work with clients who are experiencing alcohol and/or drug dependencies and who may also be experiencing mental health problems or other health or social care needs.
Main duties:
- To manage a caseload of clients presenting within the footprints in which the Engagement & Outreach service operate and individuals who are accessing The Passage Resource Centre. To support clients with complex needs, supporting them to identify and work towards recovery and away from homelessness.
- Carry out assessments, case management, support planning and the delivery of interventions for clients including those experiencing mental health and/or substance misuse issues who are multiply-disadvantaged in their homelessness.
- Provide assertive outreach and engagement with street-based service users presenting with complex needs and barriers to engagement. Carry out monthly street-based audits to inform reporting and analysis of service outcomes.
- Support clients who are rough sleeping or involved in day time activity in the footprints in which the team operate to end their homelessness by linking them in with appropriate internal and external support services relevant to their needs. To provide support to clients who are accommodated, but may require ongoing support in order to maintain this accommodation, linking them in to appropriate local services.
General responsibilities:
- In conjunction with your line manager to continuously develop the role to ensure that all tasks are being undertaken in an effective and appropriate manner which meets the strategic aims and objectives of The Passage.
- To participate in internal/external meetings as required, attend training events, conferences and other functions as necessary.
- To participate in regular supervision and annual appraisal, and help in identifying your own job-related development and training needs.
- To ensure that all The Passage policies and procedures are being adhered to, particularly those relating to Code of Practice and Confidentiality.
- To contribute to the effective implementation of The Passage’s Diversity and Equality Policy as it affects both The Passage and its work with vulnerable adults.
- To at all times undertake your role in a professional manner maintaining a high quality standard of work, and to always work in accordance with the aims, values and ethos of The Passage.
Desired experience:
- Significant experience of delivering support services to socially excluded clients in a street based/day centre or similar setting.
- Significant experience of working in a mental health and/or substance misuse setting, working collaboratively to achieve positive outcomes for clients.
- Experience of providing a fully sensitive and responsive service to clients in a psychologically informed manner.
- Experience of working cooperatively with external partner agencies, e.g. Police, Social Services, NHS, as well as housing providers and voluntary agencies.
- Experience of assessing client needs and supporting clients to address their needs through assertive outreach and case management.
- Experience of working in a client-centered recovery focused approach and the necessary professional social skills to initiate and maintain constructive and appropriate relations with clients and agencies.
Desired knowledge:
- Understanding the support needs of the street populations with complex health, and housing needs.
- Knowledge of services and legislative environment regarding housing, health, work and immigration as it relates to people experiencing homelessness.
- Ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing and collate and evidence work and outcomes using case management databases.
- Knowledge of Psychologically Informed Frameworks.
- An understanding of the causes of homelessness and, in particular, the needs of people who are multiply-disadvantaged in their homelessness.
- Knowledge of housing pathways available to dual diagnosis clients and how to access them.
- A working knowledge of how to support people with either substance or mental health needs.

Back on Track is part of a partnership of charities working in local communities across Greater Manchester to deliver the GMIRS Wellbeing Service. The service aims to reduce reoffending by working with people to improve their physical, emotional, and mental health and wellbeing, foster healthy relationships and move forward in their lives.
We are looking for three project workers (salary £27,800 – £32,000) who will build strong relationships with people who join the programme, provide 1:1 wellbeing support and guidance, and support with practical challenges including debt, low level housing needs, finance and benefits.

The Pelham is a local Christian charity that enriches lives in real and diverse ways for our community in Sidley, Bexhill. The Pelham aims to benefit the community through our charitable activities & projects, and effective partnership working.
This exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and vibrant local charity also represents a growing youth work provision, which has been developing over the last 5 years with an engaged group of local young people and strong links to local schools, community groups and churches. We are looking for a visionary and passionate youth worker to build on what has worked well to date and establish new opportunities and activities for local young people to benefit from. We are passionate about seeing local people’s lives lived to the full and reaching their potential in a supportive environment.
Following the opening of the basement in September 2023, The Pelham has a designated space for children and young people to call their own. In our current work as a Community Hub, we have over 60 partner organisations and over 400 people a week coming through the doors, and our vision is to see the range of activities and partners be replicated for local youth.
As well as leading the youth work, this postholder will join part of The Pelham’s project leadership team alongside the other four core projects:
· Our volunteer-run Coffee Lounge is open 5 days a week, providing a safe and warm space in the community to over 150 customers each week.
· The Pelham as a Community Hub welcomes over 400 people through our doors each week and hire our spaces out to over 60 different local organisations that use The Pelham as a base for their valuable assistance to help people in need locally. The range of organisations covers the voluntary, statutory and small business community to create a vibrant and dynamic space.
· RunningSpace is our suicide prevention project with a vision to champion life and beat suicide through walk2run groups. We currently run sessions in five locations, across East Sussex and Kent. We also host suicide prevention training too on a regular basis.
· The Pelham Counselling Service offers individual and group work therapy sessions with its team of 9 counsellors. It offers bursaries and a flexible service to best meet the needs of local people.
In joining the team, collaborative working will be at the heart of the development of the youth work, including group therapy sessions for young people, suicide prevention work and volunteering and employability pathways.

Main Purpose of the Role:
The Youth Worker will take the leadership role in the development of Youth work from The Pelham, as part of its charitable work and community service, working under the guidance of the CEO and as part of the Project Leadership team.
The role will include having vision to develop relevant and appealing opportunities in Bexhill for young people, working together with local partners, including schools and voluntary organisations. This will include innovative options outside of our current scope of work, which may include wellbeing activities, studying support, home education, group work therapy and more.
There will also be administrative responsibilities specific to this role, including safeguarding and risk assessing all activities and events as well as the young people that you will be working with.
The role will also involve hosting a range of regular session specifically for young people, as well as empowering and encouraging young people, in line with the vision and values of The Pelham as a charity.
Key Tasks:
1. To create a safe environment for young people to be at The Pelham, including all necessary safeguarding requirements and good practice.
2. To run youth activities at The Pelham on a weekly basis in term time, including but not limited to:
1. After school sessions
2. Evening sessions
3. Daytime sessions for home educated or de-schooled students
4. School holiday activities
3. To provide consistent and appropriate input into the lives of local young people living in our community, giving them purpose, value and significance.
4. To develop partnerships specifically focused on the usage of the basement during the daytime. This is focused around exploring connections with home educated students, and those outside of mainstream education.
5. To establish key links with existing youth provision in the town, alongside the schools, voluntary groups and faith groups.
6. To work alongside The Pelham Counselling Service to promote and support the wellbeing of young people, including through the use of group workshops.
7. To support a volunteer team to support in hosting youth activities, all with the appropriate DBS checks and training.
8. To work alongside the pastoral care team at Bexhill Academy to provide support to students during lunchtime(s) in the school week.
9. To explore and respond to the local need for young people, including helping to mitigate anti-social behaviour in Sidley with increased interaction and trust building. This will include working with local partners including Heart of Sidley, Rother Safety Partnership and Sussex Police.
10. This will also extend into local connections in Sidley, Pebsham, Chantry and Bexhill Town Centre in providing opportunities for children and young people and their families, as well as other youth focused organisations.
