The successful applicant will be responsible for providing sound, motivating leadership and creating a work atmosphere where our dedicated, talented team can thrive. You will be responsible for leading on delivering the charity's services, which includes managing and overseeing projects, policies and procedures within the organisation.
You will be working as part of a growing, busy, collaborative and motivated team and be able to adapt well to changing priorities. You will have oversight of a team of 10-12 people including contracted staff, volunteers and directly manage 3-5 members of the team.
You will work alongside the CEO, staff team, trustees and charity accountant in ensuring strong financial management of all projects. You will report to the CEO and Board of Trustees, attend quarterly board meetings and produce regular reports on the activities and outcomes to stakeholders.
The role will also involve evaluating the organisation’s processes and ensuring they are efficient and accessible, as well as ensuring we meet our Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). This will inform operational development and future strategies.

Essential Criteria
- An understanding of autism and experience working with autistic adults without a learning disability
- Strong understanding of the duties of statutory services and key legislation that underpins the rights of autistic people
- Knowledge and practice of relevant legislation – Autism Act 2009 and National Strategy, Care Act 2014, Mental Health Act 1983, Mental Capacity Act 2005, Equalities Act 2010, GDPR 2018
- Experience developing and optimising support services for disabled people
- An understanding of the third sector and health and social care landscape in London
- Proven track record in an operational, managerial role within the third sector
- A strong leader and manager, with proven experience mentoring a staff and volunteer team, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities, and driving towards excellent outcomes
- Experience leading the delivery of high-quality services for charity beneficiaries
- Defining and delivering organisational goals, objectives, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for operational efficiency

The Website Project Manager role:

Key responsibilities of the Website Project Manager:
- Working with the Director of Marketing & Digital, Head of Digital and the web agency to oversee the content and design, technical work up, and finally the delivery of the website
- Working closely with the Marketing & Digital team to migrate content to the new website, managing the strategy and timings to ensure this key milestone of the project is achieved on time
- Organising workshops and other internal meetings to ensure that all directorates have input and have clearly defined tasks and timelines to follow
- Assisting the Head of Digital and wider digital team in the management of the current website as well as the new website. This includes regular updates, page creation for campaigns and search engine optimisation
- Creating deadlines and action items to achieve the end goal, and be the point person for the management of each item
- Managing communication to ensure all stakeholders are kept up to date
- Delivering the project on time and within budget
- Assisting the Head of Digital in creating a Standard Operating Procedure for management of the website once it’s up and running
Other knowledge, skills and experience
- Digital marketing principles and activation techniques

- HTML/CSS and Workbooks knowledge is advantageous but not essential

The role:
The Head of Programmes is a wide-ranging and key role within the Smallwood Trust’s leadership structure working closely with the CEO, the Grants Team and the Board.
Important priorities for the Head of Programmes will include:
Working closely with the CEO to implement and operationalise Smallwood’s refreshed grant-making strategy which is due to be approved by the end of 2024. This will include budgeting and implementing/designing new grant processes and procedures where appropriate.
Shape and deliver an evaluation framework that enables us to more effectively track progress against our longer-term outcomes as identified in our theory of change and gender-lens framework.
Instill a learning and continuous improvement culture across the organisation, to ensure that a coherent approach is taken with our grants programmes and our funding meets the needs of our Grant Partners.
The role requires an established leader who is adept at demonstrating internal and external leadership and is able to provide robust grant management, ensuring programme quality and assurance to the CEO, the Board and major external funders.
The role will have 7 direct reports. You will be comfortable in the detail and bigger picture and be able to provide support and encouragement to the Grants Team across Smallwood’s grant and programme cycles and to ensure that best practice and learning from our grant programmes is shared externally and adopted internally.

A Charitable organisation that provides support to social enterprises is recruiting a Finance Analyst to take on a key role and drive the organisation forward and support the organisations new strategy and focus. As the Finance Analyst you will be responsible for the following duties:
- To work closely with the Head of Internal Operations on the required grant drawdowns requests including attending quarterly meetings with government bodies.
- To do a cash reconciliation of grant funds on a weekly basis to the bank & on a monthly basis between the bank and salesforce.
- To liaise directly with government bodies on quarterly claims.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and highly skilled Training Development Manager to join our small, friendly and hard-working team.
We are Laurelle Brown Training and Consultancy (LBTC), an independent consultancy founded in 2017, as a response to the persistent challenges and discrimination faced by racialised children across the services and support systems they rely on. We collaborate with partners to strengthen equity, diversity and inclusion across complex systems for children.
We are a dynamic and busy consultancy, with 5 staff members, and a pool of associate consultants and trainers that support the delivery of our work. We do: (1) Learning and development, (2) Facilitation, (3) Change and transformation, and (4) Evidence and insight. Our team work remotely and attend team meetings in London (where the company is based) a couple of times a year, and deliver in-person services across the UK all year round.

The role
- Training development and delivery – Develop, create and deliver sector-leading training, virtual, in-person and e-learning, while overseeing allocation and delivery of all training bookings. Leading on internal EDI training and building relationships with clients and partners.
- Quality assurance and impact – Work with stakeholders to develop impact and evaluation methods and reporting. Developing and implementing training model and relevant assurance processes and tools, including learning journeys.
- Associate management – Develop and maintain associate management framework, build, manage and support high-performing team, and execute strategy.
- Leadership and organisational development – Use knowledge and experience to provide strategic thought advice and leadership, delivery special projects with fresh ideas, insights and solutions, contribute to business development and strategy.
About you
We’re looking for a Training Development Manager with technical and knowledge skills. Someone who can design, and deliver, high-impact training and facilitation for audiences across statutory, voluntary and community sectors. You will develop our Associate Strategy, in addition to effective, collaborative and innovative operational practices, in alignment with our methodology.
You will have successfully developed, implemented, and evaluated short and long-term training programmes in the children and young people sector; clearing obstacles to delivery; engaging diverse audiences, including senior leaders; co-facilitating; designing for impact and detail; managing trainers; and reflecting and applying learning for continuous improvement.
This role is a great match for a strategic thinker with strong virtual working skills, an adeptness for fast-paced environments and deep understanding of the impact of structural inequalities on child welfare systems, workforces and outcomes in the UK.

The Parish Administrator & Events Co-Ordinator is a key person in the life of St Peter’s who works closely with the Vicar, Treasurer, Director of Music, Churchwardens, PCC, regular volunteers and the wider community of De Beauvoir Town. This is an exciting opportunity for a Strategy Lead to work closely with the Senior Leadership Team to deliver an ambitious, new, forward-thinking strategy for a charity that builds a better future for disabled people. Over the next 12 months you will deliver this strategy in an innovative way, utilising your experience in impact/ purpose-led environments.
I’m keen to speak to a skilled strategic thinker, who is comfortable handling large amounts of qualitative and quantitative data and reconciling different perspectives. You will be an experienced programme manager or have experience managing complex projects independently in a strategy or research context.
With data and insights collected, the organisation know the questions that need answering to ensure an effective strategy for the next 5 years. The strategy has ten broad strategy workstreams, which include their approaches to grant-making, innovation, partnerships, finances, and equity, diversity and inclusion. They will aim to answer their big questions and develop their new strategy through three sprint processes between August and December, and conclude the programme of work in April 2025.
The role;
- Programme manage an agile strategy process with ten defined workstreams in a flexible and pragmatic way. (June – March)
- Design and run three sprints which enable workstream leads to progressively refine strategic assumptions, gather and reflect on key insights from disabled people and other stakeholders, and develop objectives for the coming strategy period. (July – December)
- Work with the Director of Performance and Innovation and colleagues to consolidate these workstreams into a forward strategy
- Work with the communications team to establish and deliver an engagement and communications plan for the new strategy.

We do this through the Parkinson’s Excellence Network (PEN), a network of around 6,000 health and care professionals with a shared vision: to build an expert Parkinson’s workforce and improve health and care services for people with Parkinson’s.
We bring together and support health and care professionals to share best practice, network and collaborate, share resources and education, and drive improvements to services for people with Parkinson’s and their loved ones.
Since its establishment in 2015, the Excellence Network has provided networking and collaboration opportunities for professionals across the different regions of the UK. In England, the Excellence Network is moving to a new regional model aligned to the 7 NHS England regions. The regional model in the devolved nations will remain the same: 3 regions in Scotland, 2 in Wales and 1 in Northern Ireland.
To help us deliver this new regional model, we are looking for 2 healthcare professionals to take on the role of Regional Clinical Lead on a consultancy basis.

What will be expected of you in this role
You’ll:
- Be expected to co-opt a multidisciplinary leadership team to support you in your role. This team should reflect the multi-professional composition of regional services, as well as the geography and should include at least one person with Parkinson's.
- Drive engagement and participation with the Excellence Network at a regional level. Inspire, challenge and collaborate with the health and social care professional community to drive significant improvements to Parkinson’s services across your region
- Act as a professional ambassador for the Excellence Network and help represent the professionals in your region.
- Engage with Integrated Care Board (ICB) leaders to help influence the development of your Integrated Care System (ICS).
- Work closely with the Professional Engagement team at Parkinson’s UK to organise and hold engagement opportunities in your region. This will include working withthe team to hold and lead at least one in-person meeting in your region per year. Attend the annual in-person PEN National and Regional Clinical Leads meeting. Support the PEN national calendar of events through attendance or promotion. This includes Excellence Hub meetings and other activities centred around our national priorities.
- Work closely with the PEN National Clinical Leadership Team (CLT) to discuss and review national and regional priorities. Attend a virtual meeting with CLT 2 times per year.
What expertise you’ll bring
You’ll:
- Be a UK-based clinical healthcare professional, working in Parkinson’s or with an interest and expertise in the condition, with exceptional interpersonal and influencing skills. Healthcare professionals living with Parkinson’s are also encouraged to apply.
- Have a good understanding of the landscape of health and social care delivery, education and workforce development to support the strategic aims and objectives of Parkinson’s UK.
What you can expect from Parkinson’s UK
You’ll:
- Be formally welcomed and introduced to the Excellence Network and your role as a regional clinical lead.
- Be provided with an introduction pack, which outlines all the activities of the PEN at a national, regional and local level, so that you can gain an understanding of where
- your role fits in.
- Meet regularly with the Professional Engagement team to discuss and plan activity in your region, working to a co-developed engagement plan for your PEN region. We will be flexible, taking into account your individual needs.
- Meet with the Professional Engagement Lead or Associate Director of Policy & Health Strategy after 6 months in the role for a review meeting and then annually thereafter (or more frequently if required).
- Be provided with a set of resources and information to support you in your role eg. a ready made presentation on the PEN, data from the services within your patch, including relevant data from the UK Parkinson’s Audit.
- Be invited to an annual event for the National and Regional Clinical Leads, to provide updates, training and opportunities for discussion.

Time commitment will be 0.5 days per week (1 programmed activity) to be worked flexibly across the month.
Monthly rate will be based on skills and experience.
Term of consultancy services will be set tenure of 3 years from date of appointment, with an option to extend once for a further 3 years.
We will also ask you to send across a monthly invoice to the Professional Engagement Manager at Parkinson’s UK and include a short paragraph outlining what you’ve done in the role each month. We can provide an example of this.
