This Senior Practice Consultant position will work with our existing Senior Practice Consultant and Practice Operations Manager to steer, guide, and integrate and develop our work to transform the multiagency response to domestic abuse and how children, adults and families are safeguarded focused on the Echo Project development and delivery.

In addition, the role will be supporting the Head and team to establish a framework for disseminating best practice, embedding quality, and learning internally and externally. Enabling statutory and voluntary sectors to work better together to improve the experience and outcomes for children, adults, and families. You will combine comprehensive and innovative practice experience with an entrepreneurial mind-set, focusing on working alongside partners to devise innovative, dynamic, and pragmatic solutions to complex problems.

You’ll be joining a high-performing team that has a large portfolio of high-profile corporate partners including but not limited to Omaze, The Perfume Shop, Slimming World, Bloomberg, TP ICAP, and Dyson. Alongside having just secured brilliant new partnerships with Cadbury, Warburtons and John West.

We’re looking for a New Business Officer to join our team, to secure new partnerships that will grow income and take us one step closer to a cure.

This is a 12-month Fixed Term Contract.

Main duties and responsibilities of the role:

Identify and build strategic relationships to generate income from new corporate supporters.

· A focused and strategic approach to identifying, researching, and targeting prospective corporate partners.

· Work closely with Corporate Partnerships Manager (CPM) to deliver our successful new business strategy. 

· Build and manage a pipeline of new business opportunities to include strategic partnerships and charity of the year partnerships. 

· Develop engagement plans for prospects, with innovative, commercially minded ideas, to maximise the chances of securing successful partnerships. 

· Create innovative and creative applications/proposals for charity of the year and strategic partnerships. 

· Actively network with potential corporate partners through warm contacts, events, conferences, and other available media. 

· Ensure effective monitoring, evaluation, and reporting of new business approaches in liaison with CPM, communicating progress regularly. 

· Take full personal responsibility for the timely recording of prospects, actions, updates, and notes within the CRM (Salesforce). 

· Work alongside the Partnership Development Officers on new partnership set-up, including establishing legal agreements with corporate partners. 

· Work closely with the Philanthropy team to leverage support from major donors and assist the Philanthropy team with their prospects where possible.

· Achieve agreed financial and non-financial targets, including income generation and meetings. 

· Support the CPM in the development and implementation of the corporate fundraising strategy for ARUK, to increase the team’s income, to ensure that the best use is made of internal and external contacts

Represent the charity professionally in a high-level corporate context.

· Organise and attend networking and cultivation events as required, influencing, and engaging high-level external contacts.

· Deliver high-quality and creative presentations and proposals to help target and engage prospects and convert them into partners.

· Organise tailored face-to-face meeting opportunities to initiate and build relationships.

· Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current ARUK activities, including research being funded, and be an advocate of ARUK at all times.

What we are looking for:

· Corporate fundraising experience, or business development experience in a corporate role.

· Evidence of delivering high-quality and creative presentations and proposals to help target and engage potential partners/clients.

· Experience in creatively building new strategic partnerships/clients from scratch within a fundraising and/or corporate environment.

· Experience in engaging and building relationships with key external stakeholders and decision-makers to deliver positive outcomes.

· Experience in securing new partners/clients within a fundraising and/or corporate environment.

· Confidence working with computers – good knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. 

· Excellent personal communication skills, with the ability to communicate with people at all levels face to face and on the phone.

· Ability to write professionally, with an ability to adapt communications for different audiences.

· Ability to work with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Additional Information:

Ways of working: As part of our Agile ways of working you will be required to work approximately 2 days a week from the office, which is subject to the requirements of the role and the business needs. Flexibility on where you work can be split between working from home and our office.

Roles that are classed as part of the Agile ways of working are not able to claim any costs for Mileage/Travel on Public Transport, Accommodation and/or Meals.  This includes when attending the office for various meetings/events.

BACKGROUND: 
For many families there are issues that precede a young person’s gang involvement. Personal circumstances typically involve poverty, unsuitable housing, separation, family conflict, domestic abuse, substance misuse, mental health and imprisonment.

Gang involvement increases the risk of violence and victimisation to the young person, their friends and their family, therefore, it essential when supporting young people to exit gangs we adopt a ‘whole family’ approach.

A ‘whole family’ approach involves working with the family to assess risk, ensuring all family members feel safe, mentoring young people who are involved in or at risk of gang and serious youth violence and offering holistic support to enable the family to achieve their potential and raise aspirations.

Without the right support, families can become trapped in a cycle of homelessness, crime, unemployment and poverty that is passed on from generation to generation.

St Giles Trust solution to this stark reality is our Children & Families Service. The C&F team offer an intensive and holistic approach that seeks to understand the complex and inter-related family issues behind poverty in order to resolve them. Children & Families Caseworkers break the cycle, unlocking chaotic families’ potential, and empowering them to raise themselves out of poverty.

Key Deliverables:

• To develop and maintain relationships with other agencies, ensuring a steady flow of referrals to the project; in particular schools, PRU’s, Youth Offending Services and Children’s Social Care. 
• To support families using a  1:1 tailored and holistic practical & emotional support to improve mental health & wellbeing, housing, finances, living environment and increase their readiness to engage in training and employment 
• To complete initial needs assessments with families and support them to develop individual action plans and regularly review to assess progress 
• To promote inter-agency collaboration in the assessment and planning process and to include involved agencies in the delivery of the services
• To carry out and review thorough risk management plans with families ensuring each family member has an age-appropriate safety plan
• Provide a client led support service that responds to individual’s needs. Key elements will include supporting with housing, finances, schooling, parenting, health and wellbeing, ETE and criminal justice
• To support families who are affected by domestic violence, this will include working with victims and perpetrators
• To deliver the service in a timely and targeted manner, working through identified issues on the action plan, promoting case closure as an achievable outcome
• To close cases effectively and positively, identifying a survival plan for the client that can be used for ongoing support and agencies that can be used if serious problems develop in the future
• To support the Team Leader  with other tasks as and when required
• To carry out any other similar duties as required, including providing support to other St Giles Trust projects on occasion. 

What we are looking for from you – Person Specification

The post holder will plan and manage the work of Cochrane’s Legal Team, including the legal workplan and budget. You will line-manage a Legal Officer/Junior Legal Counsel, as well as designing and providing in-house training to colleagues across the organisation. The Legal Counsel will support the team by creating and maintaining legal policies, data protection processes and guidance, and responding to intellectual property-related queries. You will draft, review, and negotiate a range of contracts, including services, collaboration, grants, publishing, and SaaS/technology agreements.

We are looking for a qualified solicitor with significant professional experience working in-house and expertise in contracts, intellectual property, and data protection. You will have exposure to working within the non-profit sector and/or international organisations. The post holder needs to have experience in line managing, mentoring, and delivering training, as well as the ability to provide pragmatic advice to all levels. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and organisational skills and the ability to prioritise and manage an unpredictable workload whilst paying close attention to detail.

The Role

As an IT Business Analyst, you will support our IT estate through the production of detailed analysis and documentation for our main business processes.

Working closely with the Applications Support Manager and operational business managers, you will assist with the design and implementation of new solutions, as well as providing ongoing support for our IT systems, particularly SharePoint.

You will evaluate, document and maintain business processes, perform requirements analyses for new solutions, and produce detailed specification documents to allow suitable IT solutions to be identified.

Additionally, you will:

• Manage projects, develop project plans, and monitor project performance
• Create and maintain policies and procedures for business applications
• Provide ongoing technical support for business applications
• Implement new software solutions
• Conduct and assist with end user testing and training documentation

About You

To be considered as an IT Business Analyst, you will need:

• Experience of supporting business applications, particularly SharePoint
• Experience of producing business process documentation
• Extensive experience in the creation of comprehensive end-user documentation
• Experience in delivering and executing test plans
• A good understanding of managing and analysing large datasets
