All Aboard Youth Rowing – formerly known as Warrington Youth Rowing – is a charity established to support disadvantaged children achieve life skills using the sport of rowing.  An exciting opportunity has arisen for a creative fundraising professional to coordinate and achieve additional funding.

The Role

The Fundraising Officer will coordinate all fundraising activities in line with the Charity’s overall strategy and sustainability plans.  Working closely with the Chief Executive Officer, the Fundraising Officer will identify sources of income and build good working relationships with funders to achieve agreed funding targets.

The role is based in the North-West of England working from home and ideally, the Fundraising Officer will be in one of the following locations:

- Cheshire

- Merseyside

- Greater Manchester

Key areas of responsibility for the Fundraising Officer include:

• Contribute and assist with the development of a fundraising strategy for the Charity.

• Achieve the agreed funding target of newly sourced funding within the specified and agreed timeframe.

• Identify potential sources of funding and maximise opportunities to secure funding and grow and develop income.

• Develop relationships with funders aiming to achieve and maintain long-term partnerships.

• Maintain a database of funding sources, funders, and funding partners.

• Apply for funding by letters of interest or application forms dependent on the funding organisation’s requirements. 

About You

The successful candidate will be highly motivated and have a background in fundraising.  They must be able to demonstrate a strong track record of securing funding from national funders, preferably for the youth or sport sector. They will have experience of monitoring the impact of community projects.  In addition, they will be adaptable and comfortable working on both their own initiative and as a team player.

About the Organisation

The Charity has a desire to grow and become more sustainable, the Fundraising Officer will play a key role in achieving this ambition.  The aim of the Charity is to enhance the life skills of disadvantaged youngsters using the sport of rowing.  The charity works closely with Henley Stewards Charitable Trust and British Rowing to help achieve this aim.

All Aboard Youth Rowing run programmes in Warrington, Merseyside, Northwich, Greater Manchester, Runcorn and North Staffordshire.

What you'll be doing
We have a grand opportunity for someone looking to grow their charity experience - As our Fundraising Officer, you'll generate income by creating exceptional written applications and reports. To do this, you'll dive into research, keeping tabs on all fundraising opportunities, as well as crafting strong grant proposals, which is a key aspect of this role. You'll also need to bring in new corporate supporters by building new relationships/sponsorships as well as maintaining existing ones.

In this dynamic team, you'll plan costing, and execute various activities for a charity experiencing an invigorating period of expansion. The role encourages autonomy for you to help move the foundation forward, giving you visibility to own it by working with different people within the organisation to help our foundation grow.

The Charity team is responsible for raising millions of pounds each year to ensure Christie patients receive gold standard care and treatment. This includes everything from access to world first clinical trials and receiving radiotherapy in state-of-the-art treatment centres to young adults being cared for in a bespoke age-appropriate centre and being able to offer patients anxiety reducing complementary therapy, or even creative sessions in our art room.

Fundraising Manager and Team Lead

You are an experienced and ambitious fundraising manager and team lead looking to make your mark in a charity that’s at a pivotal time in its 28-year history.

The role

Key responsibilities

1.Ensure the development of a clear marketing and fundraising plan aligned with our strategic objectives and target audience to drive brand awareness, engagement, and income.

5.Maintain a database of supporter, donors, and potential funders, maintaining accurate records that are kept up to date and information handled in accordance with the Data Protection Act and GDPR regulations.

6.Ensure donor effective stewardship journeys are followed.

7.Maintain online fundraising platforms, social media feeds and associated communications tools alongside the Marketing Officer.

8.Lead, motivate and support the marketing team: Marketing Officer, Fundraising Coordinator, and Social Media Apprentice.

9.Oversee website content management ensuring, blogs, stories, and events are relevant and in line with our marketing and fundraising strategy.

10.Work alongside other departments such as the Community, Recruitment, and Finance Team to ensure the organisation runs smoothly.

11.Collect feedback from people we support, families and staff to ensure the continued development of the marketing and fundraising strategy.

12.Look for opportunities to increase our network of contacts, stakeholders, and volunteers.  

13.Support the Leadership Team in improving internal communication and brand alignment of all staff and people associated with Options.

14.Working alongside the leadership team to ensure that one-off projects are completed on time and accurately.

15.Remain up to date with current marketing trends to influence and remain relevant in a widely competitive third-sector market.

16.Prepare reports for the leadership team and Options trustees on project targets and outcomes.

17.Attend relevant meetings and work within Options, values and beliefs, policies, and procedures.

18.Represent Options at events as required.

Experience

1.Experience of professional fundraising, or similar experience in a marketing, sales, or business development environment.

2.Track record of setting and achieving income targets.

Qualifications

It is desirable to have a relevant professional qualification – Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) or Chartered Institute of Fundraising (IoF) - or working towards.

Community Fundraising Manager

The Mencap Community and Events Team has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, motivated and passionate fundraiser,  dedicated to raising as much funds as possible to help make the UK the best place to live for people with a learning disability to join our team as Senior Community Fundraising Manager covering England and Wales.

Covering the England and Wales the Community Fundraising Manager will be responsible for managing various income streams across the Community portfolio working closely with the wider team.

Within this role, you will achieve agreed fundraising targets through effective management, support and cultivation of both existing and new regional supporters including: individuals, groups, associations, local corporates and schools whilst maximising the current portfolio of Mencap owned products. You will research, identify and develop new community fundraising opportunities, areas of potential support and build a robust pipeline for restricted grants and corporate partners.

The role is home based. There will be travel around the areas that the role covers.

This position is a permanent, full-time role to work 37.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday. The nature of community fundraising is that there will be evening and weekend work, for which time off in lieu will be given.

Lepra has been working for a world free from prejudice and disability due to leprosy since 1924, and has an imperative to support people affected by leprosy, and also lymphatic filariasis (LF). With three core principles of being secular, people-centred, and evidence-led, Lepra works across a spectrum of care and support including, prevention, support for those effect by leprosy and LF, and advocating for the rights and inclusion of those affected.

This role is offered on a permanent, part-time 4 days a week basis paying a salary of £28,723 (£35,904 FTE) per annum. The position can be either fully remote, hybrid or fully based at their Colchester offices.

The Institutional Trusts and Fundraising Manager will provide strategic oversight and direction for Lepra’s institutional fundraising function to deliver on the restricted and unrestricted income targets. The postholder will be line managing and leading the Trusts and Foundations Fundraiser in the delivery of the trust fundraising target, and working with the programmes teams in the UK, India and Bangladesh to identify and develop applications to statutory sources and major trusts, leading on the development of detailed project proposals.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience of working in statutory and/or trusts fundraising, including successfully applying for grants in excess of £50,00 to £100,000+. You will have a demonstrable track record of high quality bid writing and production that meet funder requirements.

Fundraising and Engagement Manager
Salary: £32,500 per annum

The Foxton Centre has been providing support to people on the margins of Preston, including those who experience poverty, addiction, and mental health issues. Among the long list of services and support they offer the Foxton runs a homeless day centre, assertive outreach, a kid's club, rough sleepers' initiative, and housing first programme. Charity People are partnering with this fantastic charity to find a new Fundraising and Engagement Manager who'll support the delivery and implementation of their fundraising strategy.

About the Role

The Fundraising and Engagement Manager is a brand-new role which will lead in developing and delivering the fundraising strategy in line with the Foxton Centres' Business Plan. Working alongside the senior leadership team and service managers you'll support researching and compiling funding applications to trusts, foundations and public sources as well as building relationships with businesses and individuals who want to support the vital work the Foxton Centre carries out.

About You

This role would suit a natural relationship builder with a fundraising track record across any of the following income streams; trusts, grant making bodies, corporate or individual giving. You'll be well supported in this role by a brilliant board of trustees as well as the senior leadership team who have been responsible for managing income generation.

Urgent Projects is a charity based in London, whose role is to support people and institutions of Ukraine during its war with Russia. 

The scope of ​​activity of the Foundation is the support of restoration and development projects in the fields of medicine and education. It also includes providing the population of Ukrainian territories with food, clothing, medicaments, medical equipment and other essentials during the active phase of the war. 

As Fundraising and Development Manager, you will be responsible for planning, developing, and executing the fundraising strategies to support the Foundation’s priorities. You will lead on major donor, corporate, and trusts & foundations fundraising, work to identify opportunities to diversify Urgent Foundation’s fundraising portfolio, and closely work with the CEO of the Foundation to network and strengthen relationships with current and prospective donors.
