An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Finance Officer to join our mental health charity, to support and deliver effective, efficient financial processes and compliance with financial regulations and data protection to ensure the smooth and effective running of the organisation.
The successful candidate will report to the Senior Operations Manager and will involve managing financial transactions and reconciliation, maintaining accurate project records, supporting the production of management accounts, costing new work, budgeting and reporting as well as overseeing payroll.
You will need to demonstrate strong analytical skills and a passion for supporting mental health research. Attention to detail, an administrative mind and a compassionate communicator are vital to this role as well as the ability to use your initiative and manage your own workload. Every day will be different, with the opportunity for you to develop your skills and support our projects.
This post would ideally suit someone with excellent financial administration skills and project management experience. The post holder will also need to have knowledge of Xero and QuickBooks accounting software

The Operations Manager is a senior leadership role with Home-Start Wandsworth, responsible for overseeing the operational effectiveness of the organisation. ● Deliver a regular report to the Board on performance against grants and trusts.
Team Management
● Provide direction to the Business Support Administrator to enable effective and efficient running of the organisation.
● Manage staff and freelancers according to the Home-Start Wandsworth procedures, policies and values.
● Support effective management of any non home visiting Volunteers supporting the organisation’s work.

SUMMARY OF ROLE
This new role offers the opportunity to be part of an exciting new journey at RABI as we grow our Marketing and Communications team ahead of launching our ambitious 2025-2030 strategy. As Digital Communications Officer, you will take a lead role in planning, creating and delivering content across social media, email marketing, and digital campaigns. You will have the creative freedom to develop innovative approaches that drive meaningful interaction and measurable impact.
The role reports to the Senior Digital Communications Manager and requires close collaboration to support RABI’s digital objectives and content strategy. You will also work with the wider Marketing and Communications team and colleagues across the organisation to support broader objectives, reach multiple audiences and connect people with the charity’s work.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Social Media and Content Creation
- Plan, create and deliver engaging content across RABI’s social media channels in line with the communications strategy.
- Create a diverse range of multimedia content (short-form video, graphics, photography, written content) tailored thoughtfully for each platform (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn).
- Be hands-on with video creation when needed (e.g., filming short clips, editing using mobile tools or basic editing software).
- Grow RABI’s image and video library by proactively collaborating with colleagues, volunteers, social media followers and external contacts to source or create engaging, high-quality content.
- Carry out content A/B testing, trial new formats and recommend improvements to drive engagement.
- Set up and optimise paid social media campaigns (traffic objectives) to promote services and volunteer recruitment.

- Plan, write, and deliver email campaigns to support teams across the charity, including fundraising and volunteering.
- Create and schedule multi-stage email journeys to nurture audiences and support campaign goals.
- Build and manage digital assets to support new services or campaigns, planning activity across owned and paid digital channels.
- Shape campaigns from scratch from developing campaign branding and messaging to designing supporting assets.
- Focus on landing page design and optimisation to support strong user journeys and improve engagement with key services and campaigns.
- Support the delivery of key grant campaigns such as the Return to School and Winter Fuel grants.
Data Analysis and Optimisation
Use analytics tools to measure the performance of social media, email marketing, paid advertising, influencer activity and outreach.
Produce regular performance reports with actionable insights to improve future activity.
Assess campaign performance using tools such as Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, and social platform insights to inform optimisation strategies.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Essential
- 3 years of experience working a similar role in a marketing and communications team.
- Skilled in using WordPress to update and maintain websites.
- Proficiency in using design and video editing tools (e.g. Canva, CapCut).
- Good understanding of website accessibility standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Confident in creating campaign assets independently, as well as responding to briefs.
Desirable

Main Responsibilities
As Advocacy Director, you will play an important role in working towards our mission in several core areas:
Advocacy - Policy (75%)

Identify new opportunities and respond to external developments, in the UK and transnationally where appropriate, on the issues of AI governance and platform governance, non-criminal redress for tech harms, and alt-right, fascism, and platform power.

The Communications Department at Alzheimer’s Research UK (ARUK) informs, inspires and engages our many audiences about dementia and the progress being made in research. The Corporate Communications Manager will be part of the Strategic Communications team – one of several specialist teams in the wider Department.
The Corporate Communications Manager will be responsible for ensuring consistent and compelling external communications to drive our brand, as well as establishing the charity’s position in key strategic areas and helping to drive value from our corporate partnerships.
They will ensure a clear internal narrative and key messaging for ARUK employees, as well as supporting external communications from the CEO Office. This will include guiding key thought leadership pieces from ARUK’s Senior Leadership Team and ambassadors, informing key stakeholder communications and protecting ARUK’s growing corporate reputation.
The postholder will oversee the charity’s Annual Report and Review and identify opportunities to raise the charity’s profile in key strategic areas of work. The postholder will manage the work of two Corporate Communications Officers.

Team Management

As Copywriter in the Brand and Marketing team, you can help us work towards our vision by bringing our brand to life so more people are encouraged to reach out to us or inspired to support us. You’ll make sure any content we create is clear and impactful, reflects our tone of voice and key messages, and helps drive greater awareness and engagement in our work. There will be room for creativity in this role and plenty of variety, as you’ll be writing for a range of different audiences and channels.
Contract
- £32,000 - £34,000 (FTE)
- Fixed term – 12 months (maternity cover)
- Full Time (35hrs per week; Monday to Friday)
- Hybrid – Linked to Ewell (Surrey) office with flexibility to work from home

What you’ll do
- Provide a first-class copywriting service, developing high-quality written content for use across multiple channels and formats.
- Develop messaging and creative copy for awareness and fundraising campaigns, products and assets.
- Work on publications such as our Annual Report and Impact Report.
- Check and edit external-facing content to make sure that it’s well-written, our brand messaging and tone of voice are reflected, and it’s appropriate for the audience and channel.
- Support the continued use of our brand tone of voice, written brand guidelines and editorial guidelines, and make sure they are kept up to date.
- Run tone of voice training for staff to improve copywriting skills across the charity.
What you’ll bring
- Clear understanding of tone of voice and how to adapt this across different audiences, projects and channels.
- Exceptional copywriting skills and experience of producing content for a range of channels and audiences.
- Strong communication and excellent problem-solving skills.
- Good organisation and ability to work on multiple projects at once with an impeccable eye for detail.
