Help Change Lives Through the Justice System

We are looking for an experienced, motivated, and compassionate professional to join our Cranstoun Arrest Referral Intensive Supervision Court (ISC) team.

This is an exciting opportunity to work at the heart of the criminal justice system, supporting people at a pivotal point in their lives. Through rapid, trauma-informed assessments and compassionate engagement, you will help individuals identify their strengths, address challenges, and access the support they need to build healthier, safer, and more fulfilling futures.

At Cranstoun, we believe in people and their ability to make positive changes. Working in partnership with the judiciary, probation services, and a wide range of community agencies, you will play a key role in ensuring individuals are heard, understood, and connected to services that meet their needs. You will assess risk, identify safeguarding concerns, advocate for those you support, and help develop pathways that reduce reoffending and promote long-term recovery and wellbeing.

This role offers a unique opportunity to make a real difference, combining professional expertise with Cranstoun's values of compassion, collaboration, and inclusion. By building positive relationships and taking a person-centred approach, you will contribute to better outcomes for individuals, families, and communities while helping to create a more responsive and supportive justice system.

You'll be joining a team that is committed to treating everyone with dignity and respect, recognising the impact of trauma, and supporting people to achieve their goals and realise their potential.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Conducting court-based assessments and risk screenings.
  • Identifying safeguarding concerns and making appropriate referrals.
  • Providing recommendations to support judicial decision-making.
  • Working closely with probation, housing, treatment and safeguarding services.
  • Supporting individuals with complex needs to access appropriate interventions.
  • Maintaining accurate records and contributing to service development.

We're Looking For Someone Who Has

  • Experience working with vulnerable individuals and complex needs.
  • Strong assessment, safeguarding and risk management skills.
  • Experience of multi-agency working.
  • Excellent communication and report-writing abilities.
  • A good understanding of criminal justice, safeguarding or related services.
  • A commitment to trauma-informed, person-centred practice.

Why Join Us?

  • Be part of an innovative and impactful court-based service.
  • Help shape positive outcomes for individuals and communities.
  • Work within a supportive and collaborative multi-agency environment.
  • Access ongoing training, supervision and professional development.

If you are passionate about rehabilitation, safeguarding and helping people make lasting change, we would love to hear from you.
