SeeAbility is seeking a Trusts and Foundations Fundraising Manager to join our Innovation and Social Impact team. Could this be you?

Your role

To lead on trust fundraising at SeeAbility and to grow and diversify trust and foundation income in line with SeeAbility’s aspirations.

Your responsibilities

• Lead on the development and delivery of a trusts strategy, overseeing the whole trusts portfolio, to generate agreed annual targets for SeeAbility.
• Be the charity’s expert in trust fundraising, adopting a data-driven approach, keeping abreast of sector developments and making the business case for change where appropriate.
• Develop and enhance relationships with existing trusts, delivering first-class stewardship, making appropriate and timely applications to secure agreed annual budget and ensuring that all reporting is completed in line with guidelines.
• Focus on new business and lead on creative, inspiring and professional proposals to trust and statutory funders that operate within the charity’s values and ethical policy.
• Manage, support and mentor the Trusts Fundraiser to secure funds from trusts and statutory sources of income. To lead any further expansion of the trust team in the future if the opportunity arises.
• Implement the systems, tools and procedures to proactively identify new funders that align with SeeAbility’s strategy and ethical policy.
• Work across the organisation to generate new and innovative ways to package up SeeAbility’s work to secure funding.
• To be responsible for setting, monitoring and reporting on income and expenditure budgets and key performance indicators
• To be responsible for developing and delivering the annual work plan for trusts fundraising
• Engage staff across the organisation in trust fundraising to support proposal development, reporting and stewardship and to grow the fundraising culture.
• Ensure all trust records are kept up-do-date on the database.
• Work closely with fundraising colleagues to cultivate a supportive and collaborative fundraising team.

INTRODUCTION TO THE ROLE

This is an exciting time to join Girls Not Brides as we are currently in the process of reviewing our strategy for the next 5 years. The Senior Officer- Executive Office plays a vital role in providing high-level strategic, operational and administrative support to the Chief Executive Officer. This position is central to the smooth functioning of the CEO’s office, enabling the CEO to focus on leading the organisation effectively and with impact. The ideal candidate will be proactive, exceptionally organised, discreet, and able to anticipate needs in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

In addition to supporting the CEO directly, the Senior Officer- Executive Office will also play a key role in facilitating the CEO’s engagement with the Senior Leadership Team and the Board of Trustees. This includes contributing to strategic planning, project coordination, internal communications, and leadership governance processes.

ABOUT YOU

We are seeking a Senior Officer- Executive Office with strong experience supporting CEOs, senior leaders and Boards. You will be proactive and independent: an instinctive problem-solver with experience in designing and deploying easy-to-use systems and processes to support effective communication and project delivery within and beyond senior leadership, the Board, and wider team members.

You will support leadership to prioritise projects and tasks in a complex, fast-paced environment.  This role requires sound judgement, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage sensitive information with professionalism and confidence. You will be motivated by the mission of Girls Not Brides and dedicated to working within a diverse team.

The successful candidate must already have the right to work in the UK at the time of applying and for the duration of the contract.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic and Project Management

• Assist the CEO in tracking strategic priorities and ensuring deadlines are met.
• Support key projects or initiatives driven by the CEO and the SLT office, including special assignments or donor/stakeholder engagement for example supporting development and coordination of end child marriage Global leaders Forum.
• Provide oversight of internal and external communications requiring the CEO's input or signature.

External Engagement and Relationship Management

• Work closely with the External Engagement team to support and enhance the CEO’s external profile, including media, public appearances, keynotes, and thought leadership opportunities.
• Manage and update the CEO’s social media handles (e.g., LinkedIn, Twitter/X), in coordination with the Communications team, to reflect the strategic positioning of the organisation.
• Monitor media and public engagement metrics related to the CEO and propose content ideas aligned with organisational goals.
• Represent the CEO’s office in internal and external engagements with professionalism and confidentiality.
• Support the CEO’s participation in global forums, strategic partnerships, and high-level convenings.

Governance and Leadership Coordination

• In close collaboration with the Director of Operations and Finance, support the Board recruitment process, including conducting due diligence, managing conflict of interest declarations, and ensuring robust compliance and documentation.
• Lead the planning and coordination of induction and onboarding for new Board members, including the facilitation of any required training such as safeguarding, governance responsibilities, and organisational policies.
• Support the review and update of the organisation’s Articles of Association, working in liaison with legal counsel to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and alignment with organisational priorities
• Liaise with SLT members to ensure the effective delivery of Board and Committee meetings, including preparing high-quality papers and presentations, maintaining records, tracking actions, and supporting timely follow-up.
• Provide executive support to the CEO, including coordinating AMT, SLT and Board meetings, minute-taking, managing follow-ups, and ensuring team-wide communication flows smoothly.

Executive Support

• Act as both a gatekeeper and gateway to the CEO, exercising sound judgment in managing access and prioritising engagements, while nurturing trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment, efficiency, and strategic connectivity.
• Ensure the CEO is well-prepared for meetings by providing timely and accurate briefings, agendas,  relevant materials.
• Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders to coordinate meetings, events, and engagements involving the CEO.
• Manage the CEO’s global travel, events and calendars.
• Manage CEO expenses and budget-related documentation and ensure accurate financial tracking for the CEO’s office.

Internal communications

• Lead on the delivery of internal communications to all team members, gathering inputs and updates from all teams and producing a regular internal staff newsletter
• Working with other teams, support the coordination and delivery of team-wide convenings and events.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

 Essential experience

• A minimum of 7 years extensive professional experience in a similar role working directly with a high-performing leadership team and Board.
• Significant experience managing Board and governance processes, documentation, and communication flows.
• Strong track record in internal communications processes for diverse, multi-cultural teams.
• Advanced level in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Exceptional and demonstratable experience with or knowledge of project management tools/ software and management systems and procedures.
• Strong ability to be proactive and take initiative.

Essential skills and knowledge

• High level of professionalism, integrity and confidentiality in handling sensitive information and in compliance with GDPR.
• Exceptional interpersonal and written communication skills, with strong copyediting and an ability to write concisely for diverse audiences.
• Highly organised, with excellent time management, strong work ethic and attention to detail in order to meet deadlines.

At Single Homeless Project's (SHP) Elms, we’re looking for a passionate and experienced Support Assistant ready to make a lasting difference in people's lives. Elms is a vibrant service based in Leyton (Waltham Forest) that brings together supported housing, a daytime activity programme, and a small floating support service. The supported housing element provides longer-term placements for adults with a diagnosis of paranoid schizophrenia, some of whom may also be managing physical health needs. Here, you’ll play a vital role in supporting residents to maintain their daily routines, manage their treatment, and grow in confidence as they move toward greater independence. From encouraging healthy eating and personal care to assisting with medication prompts and helping to keep living spaces welcoming and safe, you’ll be a consistent and trusted presence in their journey.

About The Role 

As a Community Builder, you will be at the heart of our Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach, supporting the charity’s objective to enhance reach with a focus on enabling a positive impact for members of the armed forces community facing challenges. You will do this by creating sustainable, community-led solutions that enhance their well-being. You will identify strengths within local communities, foster meaningful connections, and utilise this to create new networks and drive positive change.

Working closely with Community Development Managers across regions within the UK, you will create opportunities for members of the Armed Forces community (AFC) and their families to connect with Help for Heroes and their local community. 

About You 

You will have experience of working alongside communities to create the conditions for community-led change, ideally with experience of Asset-Based Community Development. You will have good organisational skills, energy and the ability to listen, build relationships, and inspire collaboration which will be essential in creating positive, lasting change. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Conduct outreach to celebrate community strengths and foster engagement. 

• Develop and embed an ABCD-informed way of working. 

• Identify ‘Connectors’ across the community and provide opportunities for them to come together regularly to exchange learning and map community assets. Facilitate gatherings that empower community members to share their strengths, co-create initiatives, and foster a sense of belonging and ownership. 

• Encourage and support community-led action in response to local AFC interests / aspirations through peer led/ co – designed initiatives. 

• Increase awareness of challenges faced by military personnel, veterans, and their families. 

We are looking for someone with: 

• A Community Development qualification and/or experience of taking an asset-based approach to community development with transferable skills. 

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships that drive action. 

• A track record of successful collaboration with internal and external partners and stakeholders. 

PLEASE NOTE: 

• The successful candidate will need to be based within a 30-minute commute of the centre of their allocated locality and there is a requirement to travel regularly within a 75-mile radius of this location (travel expenses covered). There will The successful candidate must possess a valid full UK driver’s license and have access to a reliable vehicle with business insurance for work purposes. 

• There will also be a requirement for occasional travel to other UK locations for meetings and events depending on the charity’s needs such as our annual all colleagues in person event.

• The successful candidate will work 35 hours per week over 5 days, Monday - Sunday. Core working days will be Monday to Friday; however, flexibility is essential, as regular evening and weekend work will also be required to meet the needs of the role. Working hours will vary to ensure a total of 70 hours is covered over a two-week period, so please take this into consideration before applying.

You will be part of a newly formed Community Development team, dedicated to embedding Asset-Based Community Development. About the role:

At Single Homeless Project (SHP), we believe in the power of learning to transform not only careers, but lives. As part of our blended learning approach, e-learning plays a key role in developing and empowering our staff to deliver the best possible support to people experiencing homelessness across London. This fixed-term role for 4–6 months, providing maternity cover with the potential for extension, offers a unique opportunity to shape the learning experiences of SHP staff by enhancing and expanding our e-learning offer. Based within our Learning and Development team, you’ll be surrounded by passionate and collaborative colleagues who are committed to delivering high quality training to staff, locums and volunteers across a wide range of topics.

In this role, you’ll be central to the creation and improvement of interactive, engaging e-learning content using Adapt authoring software. You’ll refine existing modules, build new ones from the ground up, and ensure learning materials are accessible, relevant and impactful. With a particular focus on tailored health and safety training and other priority subjects, you’ll work closely with subject matter experts across SHP to bring ideas to life. Whether you’re tweaking functionality, refining content or developing entirely new modules, your work will enable staff to grow in confidence and skill - helping them provide more effective, compassionate support to our clients.

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive individual to coordinate our specialist advisory, support, and legal service for landowners wishing to protect green spaces or make changes to existing ones.
