About the role

Looking for flexible work where every shift is an opportunity to change lives?

Depaul UK is recruiting multiple Bank Support Workers to join its frontline teams across Greater Manchester. You will become part of a close-knit, supportive team providing practical and emotional support to people facing homelessness, crisis and complex life challenges.

Working across a range of services, you could support young people leaving care, unaccompanied asylum-seeking young people, and individuals experiencing housing insecurity, mental health challenges or substance misuse and recovery needs.

Your key responsibilities will include:

·         Building trusted relationships and providing compassionate, consistent support.

·         Helping individuals develop independence, confidence and everyday living skills.

·         Supporting people to identify their goals and take positive steps towards them.

·         Contributing to safe, welcoming and supportive environments.

·         Working alongside colleagues and partner organisations to help people overcome barriers.

Please indicate your preferred location in your application or supporting statement. Depaul UK will aim to match you to your preferred area, although flexibility to work across services would be advantageous.

About you

You will be compassionate, resilient and motivated by helping people make positive changes. You will bring a calm, adaptable approach and the ability to build relationships with people from different backgrounds.

You will have:

·         An understanding of the challenges faced by people experiencing homelessness or difficult life circumstances.

·         Good communication and listening skills.

·         The ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and partner organisations.

·         A commitment to treating everyone with dignity and respect.

·         A flexible, people-focused approach to supporting individuals with different needs.

Whether you are an experienced support worker or looking to broaden your frontline experience, this is an opportunity to contribute to a team where every conversation matters.
