Treasures Foundation provides housing and support for women recovering from addiction, trauma, and involvement with the criminal justice system. We help women rebuild their lives through safe housing, access to essential services, and programmes focused on rehabilitation and long-term recovery. We are now seeking a Full Time and/or Part Time Keyworker to join our expanding Treasures team. 

Key Responsibilities

The Keyworker will report directly to the Specialist Support Manager and will play a critical role in maintaining the effective running of Treasures Foundation’s supported housing. The core responsibilities include:

Beneficiary support

·  Undertaqking key working activities including: referrals, risk assessments, support
planning

· Support beneficiaries communicating with them about their day or any difficulties that arise for them

·Take a holistic approach to support beneficiary needs, seeking and highlighting opportunities for change at the individual’s and project level

·  Fostering a holistic approach to supporting beneficiaries needs, seeking and
highlighting opportunities for change at the individual’s and project/ organisational
level

·   Jointly developing and delivering a group programme which meets the needs of the women
and aims of the project, such as effective communication and conflict resolution

·   Developing individual key work plans alongside the beneficiary and offering them
appropriate support to implement them

·  Supporting the beneficiaries to access voluntary work, extra-curricular activities and
educational courses

Reporting and Compliance

· Verbal and written handover to other staff

· Use on call if needed in an emergency

·  Ensure our monitoring system Lamplight is up to date

· Complete online training

· Gather data for monitoring and evaluation

This role is at the heart of the charity, managing delivery of existing services while developing new and innovative activities to help people with a cancer diagnosis back to independence with a renewed sense of self-esteem. You’ll be a key part of our small but mighty Operations Team.

We need our Programme Manager to:

• manage our existing portfolio of programmes and activities, ensuring that all activities are delivered according to scope, schedule, budget, safety and quality standards
• develop a new Pathway process, offering a confidential conversation with the people we support to explore the health and wellbeing support they require, and encourage them to take part in appropriate activities
• manage our community support sessions across Huntingdonshire and grow additional groups
• supervise and motivate the contractors who act as activity leaders
• engage and motivate the volunteers who support activity leaders
• ensure compliance with all relevant processes, legal requirements and standards
• ensure the charity continues to respond to the needs of the people we support

Full training will be provided. 

This role is hybrid. The successful applicant will be required to work at our central Huntingdon location Bradbury House (PE29 1UL) on 2 Fridays each month when we run our community group and hold operational meetings, as well as running groups in St Ives and Sawtry. In time, in St Neots and Ramsey as well. Occasional evening and weekend working in the Huntingdon area is required. 

The time commitment is 20 hours per week.

You must live within easy reach of Huntingdon and be able to drive with your own vehicle.

Head of Finance
Salary: £50,000 - £55,000

The Head of Finance is a member of the Senior Management Team (SMT) of Modern Art Oxford and is responsible for managing and reporting on the finances of the charity, acting as Company Secretary.  

The role is supported by the Senior Finance Officer and Finance Assistant.

Responsibilities

Finance

• To work closely with the Director on the preparation of the business plan and to take a leading role within SMT on monitoring and reporting to ensure its successful delivery.
• To lead on budgeting processes including three- to five-year plans, detailed annual budgets, cash flow forecasts and in-year re-forecasts.
• To be responsible for reporting on the overall financial position of the organisation, including the statutory accounts, management accounts and reports to budget-holders, ensuring that budgets are adhered to, that cash flow is managed, that effective cost control mechanisms are in place, that revenue is maximised and that there is timely and accurate financial reporting to SMT and the Board of Trustees.
• To ensure that best practice, statutory and organisational requirements are met in the operation of financial controls, the management of funds, charity accounting, Endowments Funds and investments, and taxation.
• To ensure the safety and security of the organisation’s financial assets.
• To prepare and submit the annual Museums & Galleries Exhibition Tax Relief (MGETR) submission, Gift Aid and all other tax rebates.
• To liaise with the external auditors for the annual audit of the statutory accounts and management of the pensions and other professional financial services as required, being the main contact in the organisation for the bank, auditors and pension providers.
• To liaise with pension trustees and other employers of the PSATSA closed defined benefit scheme, including triennial revaluations and negotiation of affordable repayments, reporting to the Trustees and Director.
• To work in close partnership with the Director and the capital project management team, to manage and report on the financial aspects of any future capital projects, reporting to the Director and the Capital Sub-Committee of the Board of Trustees, and managing all related financial administration.
• To be responsible for arranging Modern Art Oxford’s insurance.

Governance, Compliance & Trustee Reporting

• To attend Board meetings as required and support the Director in providing background briefing and financial material to enable the Board to make considered decisions about all matters of finance and finance policy.
• To manage, attend and prepare reports for the Finance & Property sub-committee.
• To coordinate the production of the Annual Trustees Report for the statutory accounts and ensure compliance with Companies House and Charity Commission requirements, including maintaining Trustees and Directors’ records and details.

Other

• To contribute to the overall strategic direction of the organisation as a member of the Senior Management Team, and actively participate in new developments including audience development, capital planning, communications, partnerships, reporting and fundraising.
• To complete as required annual reports, including the annual submission for exhibition tax relief and other key reporting, including Arts Council England and Oxford City Council submissions and project-funding reports.
• To carry out any other duties, reasonably requested by the Director.

About the role:

This role is home working based with travel in the Gloucestershire area of England.

As a Homicide Service Children and Young Person caseworker you will be:

• Delivering a specialist service to children and young people (CYP) bereaved by homicide, and for those CYP who have witnessed a homicide
• Working collaboratively and jointly within the Homicide Service and other relevant organisations that can help to progress identified needs and ensure that young people are central to all processes that involve them.
• Acting as the designated caseworker and manage a caseload
• Implementing the CYP Homicide Service Delivery Model
• Work closely and support colleagues to provide a trauma informed service to children and young people.

You will be responsible for providing a high-quality, front-line service to bereaved young people following murder or manslaughter. Working with colleagues in the National Homicide Service, as well as partner agencies including education, police, courts, social services and many other statutory and third sector organisations.

You will need to be able to travel to face to face sessions within, and occasionally outside of region, This role involves regular travel and due to the location, a driving license and access to a vehicle is considered an essential requirement. The Triage and Early Intervention Officer (TEIO) will be responsible for making initial contact with adults who may require support after experiencing domestic abuse.

You will speak on the telephone to adults who have experienced domestic abuse and you will be responsible for completing risk assessments and safety planning.

During the call you will provide practical and emotional support in a way that is flexible and caring, listening carefully to what is being said and showing empathy at all times.

Gifts in Wills help fund over 1/3 of the vital care we provide. Working with the Head of Legacies and your job share partner, you’ll ensure that all gifts in Wills left to Princess Alice Hospice are administered in a professional, timely and compassionate way, in accordance with relevant legislation and organisational policies.

The role:

• Responsibility for all aspects of the financial management of Greenpeace Environmental Trust (GET), a registered charity.
• Responsibility for the preparation of annual statutory accounts, annual report, and conducting the annual audit.
• Work with the Events team to ensure that the budgeting, financial control and management, and reporting of the Glastonbury Festival and all other festivals and events is conducted in an accurate and timely manner.
• Preparation of the annual budget and presentation to the board of trustees.
• Preparation of monthly management accounts and written finance report to trustees and other key stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate cash flow management and forecasting procedures to proactively manage all cash balances.
• Manage the grant-making process and account for all grant income received.
• Review restricted income, ensuring correct documentation is received and the restrictions are applied.
• Maintain policies and procedures ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation.
• Continually work to develop and improve the quality and usefulness of our reporting.
• Providing financial analysis, including trends and areas of opportunity or concern for budget holders and other stakeholders.
• Work with other Deputy Head of Finance and the programme co-ordinator to proactively improve all aspects of the financial management of the programme department’s activities in relation to activity funded by GET.

The successful candidate will:

• Be a qualified, or a finalist Accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA or other chartered accountancy qualification) or will be qualified by experience.
  • Proven experience of working in a finance function in a hands-on role.
  • Extensive technical knowledge of accounting principles and best practice, with reference to specific UK charity accounting rules and regulations.
  • Substantial experience of management accounting, budgeting, forecasting and reporting.
  • Experience of involvement in financial year-end and annual statutory audit.
  • Proven experience of delivering a business partnering-focused service and providing in-depth insight, analysis and guidance to budget-holders.
• Support and believe in the aims of Greenpeace.
• Have highly developed communication skills with credibility to operate outside the finance function up to senior management level.

About the role: 

We are looking for a passionate, ambitious Assistant Charity Shop Manager to join our successful team to help manage our charity shop in Old Swan. 

The Assistant Shop Manager will be an integral part of the wider Charity team.

Main Duties/Tasks: 

You will play a vital role in supporting the Shop Manager to lead, motivate, and develop a team of dedicated employees and volunteers, fostering strong community engagement and maximising the shop’s impact. This includes encouraging and harnessing the gifts of time from volunteers, goods from donors, and income from customers. As a visible and active ambassador for Alder Hey Children’s Charity on the high street, you will ensure the shop reflects the Charity’s values and purpose in all that it does. You will also support van collections and deliveries, helping to ensure the smooth and efficient transport of donated goods, while representing the Charity with enthusiasm and professionalism. 

Income generation: 

• Work with the Shop Manager to maximise sales and profits ensuring weekly targets are met. 

• Support the team to maximise income from Gift Aid on donated products. 

• Support the team to maximise income via our online platforms. 

• Support the team with arranging van deliveries/collections daily.

• Work with the wider Charity team to promote and support fundraising activities and events. 

• Explore ways to maximise sales via events, donation drives, pop-up shops etc. 

• Cash up the till at the end of shift and ensure banking documents are completed. Investigate any discrepancies and report them to the Manager. 

• Support with ensuring the money is ready and accessible for cash collection.

• Open and close the shop at the appropriate times.

Volunteers: 

• Support and management of a team of volunteers. 

• Utilise volunteer skill sets and motivate them to deliver great customer service and perform tasks in-line with charity standards. 

• Maximise the shop’s opening hours and ensure the shop is open and managed by the shop team in the absence of the Shop Manager. 

• Help to provide and support ongoing training and development for volunteers. 

• Work and treat employees, volunteers and stakeholders in accordance with the Charity’s values. 

• Health & Safety (in conjunction with Shop Manager) 

• Ensure the shop adheres to Retail Health and Safety regulations. 

• Implement good Health and Safety practices to help protect employees, volunteers, and customers. 

• Help to ensure employees and volunteers are trained in manual handling. 

• Help maintain the cleanliness of the shop and behind the scenes areas.

• Stock Control (in conjunction with Shop Manager) 

• Ensure continuous, sufficient levels of high-quality stock.

• Maintain a rigorous process of stock rotation, ensuring rotation within expiry dates.

The Charity retail team are currently conducting a four-day working week trial, due to end on 30th September 2025. This means that, for example, staff previously working 37.5 hours a week are now working 30 hours a week to enable a four-day working week. The trial is monitoring the benefits of a four-day working week against productivity. We are confident that by embracing a more flexible and balanced approach to work, we can continue to create a thriving and fulfilling work environment while driving growth and success for our charity. A decision will be made before the 30th September 2025 to agree the next steps, based on an assessment of the trial period; the four-day working week trial may be ended, extended or adopted permanently.
