The Role

Based at our Head Office in Basingstoke, Hampshire, and reporting to the Marketing Manager, you will deliver engaging, creative, data-driven marketing campaigns targeting our beneficiaries and supporters across the UK’s fire services community. You’ll achieve this by utilising all our available media channels including email, websites, direct mail, social media, on/offline advertising and events.

In this fast-paced and exciting role, you’ll be supporting teams across our Charity to promote our health and wellbeing services to the deserving people we support. You will also assist our fundraising teams to generate the income needed to fund the diverse range of services we provide to the fire family.

About You

We’re looking for an enthusiastic marketer with experience delivering marketing campaigns that demonstrate a return on investment.

You will need to be confident communicator, calm under pressure and keen to evidence the success of your work through data analysis, you will be able to adapt your approach to suit different audiences and to translate marketing briefs and objectives into effective campaign activity.

Naturally creative and pro-active, this role would ideally suit someone who is keen to take the next step in their marketing career, who thinks on their feet to overcome challenges to deliver projects on-budget and on-time.

In the last year we have implemented a new CRM platform based on Salesforce and Azure platforms while continuing to adapt to modern ways of working post pandemic that have changed how our physical locations are best utilised.

As Senior Network Engineer, you'll play a key role in maintaining and supporting our current physical network hardware and solutions while we look to adopt a cloud first approach moving away from our current dependency on physical locations and legacy services. 

You'll work closely with the wider technology team on the development of our office infrastructure as we look to expand our current use of Meraki solutions to support us in providing office services to several charity partners alongside Save the Children UK.

Reporting to the Infrastructure Manager, you will be responsible for: 

• Monitoring our office and server platforms network connectivity to ensure availability, uptime, and responsive systems for the organisation using tools such as WhatsUpGold and Meraki portals and Azure monitor
• Maintaining our server platforms network connectivity, whether on premises, in private cloud or public cloud
• Maintaining and developing our physical office locations connectivity for end users and tenants alongside our Facilities team
• Working with our partners to maintain our WAN and cloud connectivity
• Helping implement solutions that are secure and follow Zero trust principles
• Maintaining current technologies such as Fortigate firewalls
• Implementing new technologies such as Zscaler and Azure Firewall

About you

• Significant experience in a hands-on role delivering enterprise class networking – switching, routing and Wifi
• Demonstrated experience working as a Senior / established Network Support Engineer supporting department colleagues and business users in a large-scale organisation

KEY CRITERIA

What we are looking for:

• Previous experience in a similar role with similar responsibilities, this includes a track record of securing new bids and/or retaining existing contracts
• Previous experience in bid/proposal writing, reviewing, and editing
• IT Proficiency, ability to learn new software programs, experience in Microsoft, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Ability and willingness to travel and attend market engagement events and to visit services to gain greater understanding of what SIG offers and to inform teams of relevant tender responses
• Ability to create and write engaging content, with proofreading skills
• Proven ability to prioritise and juggle multiple tasks and competing priorities within a fast-paced environment

Person specification​

Key responsibilities ​

Reporting to the Executive Director, you will:​​

• Work on the development of technical frameworks, guidelines, standards, certification or audit processes relevant for implementing regulation for children’s rights in the digital environment at international, EU and UK levels. This includes representing 5Rights in technical meetings and working groups, such as at the IEEE and CEN-CENELEC.​

• Work to promote and support the uptake of these standards by the tech industry, including by working with industry associations, chambers of commerce and tech companies directly.​

• Lead our work to gather technical evidence on company compliance with regulation for children in the UK and EU.​

• Identify cases of non-compliance, develop argumentation and engage with companies and regulators for remedy, with legal support as necessary.​

• Work to promote compliance, by supporting public accountability for non-compliance and positive visibility of best practice.​

• Lead our work to raise awareness and stimulate action of industry stakeholders, notably advertisers and investors.​

• Liaise with technologists and experts around the world, exchanging knowledge and staying up to date on the latest developments, research and emerging issues.​

• Oversee the 5Rights Research Officer, research projects and evidence-gathering programmes.​

Person specification​

You’ll be a confident and skilled researcher, a clear, fresh thinker, and an excellent writer. High attention to detail, an eye for nuance, and the ability to digest complex information quickly and communicate it coherently are all musts. A background in technology issues or children’s rights is preferable, but not essential. Most of all, we’re looking for someone who’s thorough, proactive, super smart, and committed to our mission. ​

Are you looking for a role which gives you purpose?We are looking for an ambitious candidate who will have several years fundraising’ experience, particularly of increasing income and cultivating supporters.  We need you to develop and implement our fundraising strategy by contributing to agreed objectives, income targets and other key performance indicators within the timeframe and budget specified while contributing to our purpose of helping vulnerable people to live in dignity and to achieve their potential. 

This new role has been established to lead and implement the audience and business growth 
strategy for ICA audiences alongside developing and delivering a sustainable, entrepreneurial 
and revenue generating business growth model.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Philanthropy 

• Lead, develop and implement a Business Growth strategic plan that brings a mix of 
  sustainable income derived from individual giving, trusts and foundations and corporate 
  sponsorships
• Work with the Director to develop strategic revenue generation opportunities across the 
  business and key ICA stakeholders
• Lead a Fundraising team to research prospective donors and supporters and build a 
  pipeline of donor acquisition, including bespoke donor packages
• Collaborate with strategic partners on the development of compelling partnership 
  funding/income/business growth proposals
• Maintain an overview of trends and developments in fundraising and business growth 
  across the artistic and cultural sector
• Contribute to business growth and fundraising forecasts to the annual and longer-term 
  strategic business planning process.

Audiences & Communications

• Maintain and develop ICA’s brand in international, national and local markets, ensuring
  ICA’s identity is maintained across all communications channels

• Reporting to the Director and Board of Trustees on the strategy and delivery of the ICA’s

Team Management

• Play an active and highly collaborative role as a full member of both the Executive 
  Leadership Team and Senior Leadership Team
• Line Manage roles of Senior Development Manager, Development Manager, Audience

  Membership manager, ensuring person specific objectives are set in line with the ICA’s

The Clean Air Fund is looking to recruit a Senior Communications Officer to join their Strategic Partnerships and Communications team in London. As a Senior Communications Officer with Clean Air Fund you would help to support the Clean Air Fund’s communications and engagement with our key audiences of governments, funders, businesses, researchers, civil society organisations and campaigners. You will help proactively shape and deliver Clean Air Fund’s strategic communications activities to tackle global air pollution. You will lead our social media strategy and management to grow our digital audiences and foster deeper engagement. From delivering compelling content to executing digital campaigns to coordinating events, you’ll play a critical role in raising our profile and 
supporting the clean air movement. Reporting to the Digital Communications Manager, you will be responsible for day-to-day delivery of compelling communications and developing our digital channels. You will also support our wider campaigns across all our channels including earned and paid activities.
