We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated professional who is passionate about amplifying the voices of young people through participation and co-production.

Voices in Action is a dynamic area of work within Coram that ensures the engagement of children and young people (as young campaigners).  Our Young Campaigners, aged 10-25,  bring their lived experiences of school exclusion, homelessness, immigration issues, involvement in the care system and involvement in the criminal justice system to improve outcomes for other young people.  They achieve this through campaigning and policy work, shining a light on problems and developing ideas to make things better nationally, locally and improving the work we do.

This post plays a crucial role in enabling this to happen. Using a co-production approach, this post will bring young people’s voices to the forefront through the production of campaigns and resources for other young people and professionals.

Purpose of the job:

This key role in our fundraising team will be integral in helping the team meet our ambitious targets. Working predominantly on Trusts and Foundations applications, leading the development and submission of high-quality proposals, with opportunities to work across additional income streams. The postholder will be responsible for securing grants, developing relationships, providing excellent stewardship to funders, and working collaboratively with colleagues.

Key responsibilities include:

• Identify and maximise opportunities to raise funds – focusing on charitable trusts and foundations.

• Research and maintain a pipeline of prospects.

• Contribute to the achievement of ambitious team income targets.

• Create compelling, accurate and bespoke funding proposals, to a high quality and submitted on time.

• Build effective relationships with existing and potential funders to secure long-term funding and support for Kinship’s work.

Essential requirements include:

• Experience of successfully securing five figure grants from charitable trusts, foundations, and/or major donors.

• Excellent writing and presentation skills with the ability to interpret and communicate complex information.

• Excellent attention to detail and methodical approach.

• Experience of developing and maintaining internal and external relationships.

St Catherine’s College seeks to appoint a new Development Executive ahead of the development and launch of a major new capital campaign. The Development Executive will be a key member of the St Catherine’s College Development Team, working hand in glove with the Development Director and Deputy Director in particular, to advance our major gifts programme.

This post is full time, for a three year fixed term in the first instance.

The salary is in the range £36,024 - £44,263 per year.

The post holder will be personally responsible for:

• identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding major donors and prospects with the capacity and propensity to make significant (£25,000 - £500k+) financial contributions to College;
• identifying the next generation of major donors, building relationships, securing five, six and, in time, seven figure gifts, and driving up philanthropic income in the medium and longer term;
• focusing on individuals, foundations, and, in some cases where relevant, corporations, with the potential to make transformative gifts.

This role has arisen at a pivotal time for St Catherine’s College; as we prepare for a major campaign for an ambitious estates project. Working with the Director and Deputy Director, this new role will be vital in developing, launching and closing out this landmark campaign and ensuring that the College capitalises on the momentum created to launch into its next philanthropic phase.

The successful candidate will have a track record of having asked for, negotiated, and secured major gifts, alongside proven success in developing and maintaining effective donor relationships. The Role: 

As the Partnerships Officer, you will support the Partnerships Team on business development, managing a portfolio of small trusts, foundations, and donors, as well as researching new opportunities. 

Our places and volunteers are crucial to us. They know their communities best. This role will support our local Delivery teams to build new partnerships and grow our places. The role will also platform the voices of our volunteers to lead the development of our services.  This post will play a key role in the Partnerships Team. 

Your core responsibilities will consist of supporting the Partnerships team & wider organisation in growing Volunteering Matters and its family of brands. Managing a portfolio of small trusts, foundations, and donors; supporting the Partnerships team & wider organisation with relationship management of major donors as well as developing and researching opportunities for business development with regional partners and stakeholders.

About the PVRI
We’re a small charity with a global reach and an important purpose: to reduce the burden of pulmonary vascular disease (PVD) - a serious condition that can lead to heart damage and trigger symptoms like breathlessness, chest pain, fatigue, poor growth, fainting, and light-headedness. PVD can reduce both quality of life and length of life, but it isn’t widely recognised or well-understood.

Our aim is to improve clinical care, education, and PVD research. To do this, we bring together an international network of thousands of clinicians, scientists, academics, and industry partners supported by our small team based in Bermondsey, London. Together, we deliver conferences, e-learning, and an academic journal, raise awareness of PVD, and encourage collaboration in research.

About the role
We are seeking a Marketing Officer to help grow and service the charity's international membership, increase the value of our membership offer, increase our income, and deliver our e-learning programmes. You’ll help ensure our members are informed about the latest developments and learning opportunities, and they’re valued for their contributions to the PVRI. No two days are the same. One day, you might be writing content for our website and social media channels, and the next, you might be welcoming respected speakers and attendees from over 30 countries to our scientific webinar.

We are looking for someone with excellent written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail. You’ll need to create successful marketing plans and grow our membership. You will also bring excellent organizational skills and the ability to coordinate high-quality webinars.

The Bridge Renewal Trust and consortium partners are running two exciting programmes within Haringey working with young people and youth organisations to achieve systems change and reduce violence.

We are currently recruiting a creative and versatile Communications and Engagement Officer to help develop and deliver a high-impact communications strategy, raising awareness of the services and supporting our community engagement activities.

We are looking for someone who is: creative and innovative; skilled in content development and copywriting for a range of audiences and is able to organise a variety of community engagement events; has good knowledge and experience of engaging diverse communities through different communications channels including face to face and social media.

The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills; and will be proficient in the use of a range of software including MS Office, MS Teams, Zoom, Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop, Mailchimp and Eventbrite.

Strathmore Community Rugby Trust has an opportunity for a part-time grant funding officer or self-employed consultant to join our team and wish to invite qualified and experienced individuals to submit an application.

Founded in June 2017 and based in Forfar, Angus, the purpose of Strathmore Community Rugby Trust (The Trust) is the advancement of participation in rugby union and rugby league. We achieve this through our community rugby projects which include a Rugby Academy for secondary school pupils, Walking Rugby for the less able, an inclusive rugby team for adults with learning disabilities and Autism-Friendly Rugby for primary age children with Autism.  Each project is designed to meet our vision of ‘Developing People Through Rugby.’

You will be a self-motivated and proactive team player who will lead on the development of our approach to fundraising through trusts and foundations. You will identify new opportunities, submit grant funding proposals, and develop ongoing engagement to maintain and increase our income from grant funders. 

The successful applicant will have the ability to demonstrate the benefit of our projects to a range of potential funders using practical examples of the impact we can have on individuals, backed up by data and statistics. An understanding of the additional needs of marginalised groups, in particular people with learning disabilities, and the power sport (in particular rugby) has to enhance people’s lives is essential.

Job description

We’re looking for a proactive and enthusiastic Senior Development Manager to identify new funding opportunities and develop high quality funding proposals that generate income for CSE’s work in line with CSE’s strategy and objectives. The successful candidate will nurture new and existing partner, client, and funder relationships.

Pay and conditions

• The role is full-time, 37.5 hours per week (minimum of 30 hours to be considered for the right candidate).
• The starting salary for the role will be grade H £41,802 - £50,071
• Flexible, hybrid working permitted for this role with a minimum of two to three working days presence in the office expected.

Specific responsibilities

An applicant appointed to the role will be expected to:

• Work effectively with others to develop funding proposals for CSE projects.
• Lead the response to competitive Invitations to Tender, which require a specific and timely response to a client’s brief and the ability to highlight and sell relevant CSE strengths and expertise.
• Support our development process by giving direction, supervision, and support to all contributing staff.
• Work with delivery teams and colleagues to set project budgets, costing work accurately using CSE’s development and financial tools.
• Ensure effective set up of new projects and facilitate the handover when a project bid has a successful outcome.
• Ensure appropriate quality checks are carried out on all proposals.

All CSE staff receive training and are given study time to complete the NEA City & Guilds in Energy Awareness.

Essential attributes for this role include:

• Minimum Maths and English GCSE
• Extensive experience in a project development or fundraising role with a proven track record of securing funding for projects or services.
• Familiarity with project management practices and systems.
• A commitment to CSEs work and charitable mission.
• The ability to construct clear and effective project proposals and tender documents.
• Strong communication skills.
• Good administrative skills with a strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Self-motivated with a flexible attitude and a proven ability to manage own time and multitask.
• Empathy towards the challenges people face and communities face on their journey to net-zero.
• A general understanding of sustainable energy, fuel poverty and climate change.
