Job Description
The Partnership Officer will be a key member of The Hygiene Bank’s income generation team and wider central team, with a responsibility to help meet the needs of our existing partnerships and support in fulfilling the charity’s income generation plans and strategy.
Key Responsibilities
You will support the management of our brand and corporate partners, working with the Head of Brand and Corporate Partnerships. Your role will be to develop and deliver partnership strategies and stewardship plans for each account, to deliver against our objectives and meet income targets.

Overview of Role:
CAT is entering an exciting phase in its development. In recent years the organisation has achieved significant growth in student numbers, membership and fundraising income. We have ambitious plans for a transformative project, Cynefin: a flagship, sustainable Welsh visitor attraction and skills hub which is included in the portfolio for the Mid Wales Growth Deal.
The Head of Communications will be a member of the Project Management Team contributing to developing the vision, strategy and business case for Cynefin, supporting the capital fundraising campaign and leading on the engagement and communications.
Main Responsibilities
- Strategic leadership of CAT’s marketing, policy and communications (internal and external).
- Liaise with key stakeholders, represent CAT at events and act as media spokesperson on behalf of the organisation when required.

This is a critical senior role in the organisation, reporting to the CEO. The role is responsible for managing the organisation’s programmes across 3 locations in Sub Saharan Africa and South East Asia, managing 10 personnel. The Head of Programme Funding will manage and provide strong leadership to a dynamic team of six who support the Action Against Hunger Network to position for, access and deliver programmes with UK institutional funding, in line with the International Strategic Plan 3 (2021-5). Key donors include FCDO, DEC, Start Fund, Power of Nutrition and ELRHA.
The post holder will strengthen and expand the programme funding portfolio through the implementation of our 5-year Programme Funding Strategy and UK Government Engagement Strategy, ensuring our global Network secure and manage UK Aid and other UK funding, engaging with the UK Government and wider sector. Working closely with key stakeholders across Action Against Hunger UK, the post holder will bring a strategic and tactical approach to engagement and positioning which combines our UK and Global priorities to those of our important funding stakeholders – not least the UK Government at National, regional and local levels. About the Role
Reporting to Head of Fundraising and Communications, you'll play a crucial role in raising funds by engaging with SME's and the local community. This role involves developing and implementing fundraising campaigns, cultivating relationships with potential donors, supporting staff fundraising initiatives and coordinating fundraising events. You will collaborate with various stakeholders and build long-term partnerships that contribute to the sustainability and growth of the organisation.
The Youth Zone has developed a targeted funds infrastructure with live impact data established and ready to utilise in funding presentations. It costs £1.7 million a year to run, 90% of which is generated through voluntary donations of which this role will be aiming to contribute £200k in the first 2 years.
You will therefore play a vital role in keeping the charity financially sustainable through the development of local business and community fundraising. You will be given ample scope to test your creative ideas and drive forward income generation, supported by the Head of Fundraising and Communications, the Chief Executive and a forward thinking and engaged Board of Trustees.
About You
Being self-motivated and action orientated, you will be able to create and grow your own pool of potential supporters and thrive on 'making the ask'. As an enthusiastic ambassador, you'll be able to communicate this in an inspiring and tailored way and be comfortable in seeking and securing donations, whilst working alongside colleagues in the team to monitor and steward these donations appropriately.
Knowledge and experience:
Proven track record of generating income from Community and/or Corporate Fundraising.
Experience of meeting ambitious targets for new business and stewarding.
Experience of managing a pipeline of potential supporters/donors and aligning your interests with the organisational needs, to maximise gift level.
Understanding of issues affecting young people and disadvantaged communities.
Understanding and knowledge of White City Community.

Key Responsibilities
National Growth

New Centre Set-up and Implementation
