Regional Fundraising Manager Jobs

This role will work closely with the Head of Support Services supporting our volunteers and wider community through a range of services and events. 

You’ll work with our incredible volunteers to support others living with conditions and raise awareness and understanding of our work.  You will recruit and support people to engage in volunteering in the way that best suits them.

Alongside this you will undertake administrative work to ensure the smooth running of Support Services, and deliver our flagship in person events. 

You will report directly to the CEO and work closely day to day with the Head of Support Services. It’s an exciting role which offers the opportunity to develop a broad range of skills in a supportive, can-do, values led organization.

Role Description

Volunteers

o Working with the CEO and Head of Support Services develop and deliver the Volunteering Strategy for the organisation.

o Work to significantly increase the inclusivity of volunteers and the work done by volunteers.

o Oversee the recruitment of volunteers and ensure appropriate induction in collaboration with relevant staff.

o Deliver mandatory initial and ongoing training for volunteers.

o Working with colleagues, produce and keep up-to-date policies, processes and forms, ensuring volunteers understand and use these resources.

o Provide day-to-day support to volunteers, working closely with the Head of Support Services.

o Manage all volunteer programme communications in collaboration with the Communications Officer including: ebulletins, website, social media and print materials.

o Collect and process feedback and statistics and compile reports on satisfaction and effectiveness as required.

o Provide specific support for volunteering roles including;

Helpline and Telephone Buddies

o Support the transition of the helpline to a new scheme such as our telephone buddy scheme

o Support and review the telephone buddy scheme

o In conjunction with the Head of Support Services, support the implementation and ongoing management of a new Facebook support group

o Collate statistics on helpline calls and report on this monthly.

Local Support Groups

o Support the establishment of online condition specific and new regional groups.

o Undertake visits to Local Support Groups as appropriate.

o Working with the Finance and Operations Manager support the groups to use funds they have raised.

Other Volunteers

o Support Office volunteers in their day to day work, being the first point of contact and allocating tasks.

o Working with the Head of Support Services contribute to the development of the Lived Experience Committee.

o Working with the Head of Fundraising support and engage Ambassador and Fundraising volunteers.

Support Service Coordination

o Ensure the CRM system is up to date with all Support Services information.

o Ensure all statistics relating to Support Services are up to date.

o Ensure Support Services’ phone systems and booked calls are effectively and efficiently set up.

o Ensure accurate record of all research and surveys we are asked to engage in and follow up on outcomes of that research.

o Undertake any small administrative duties as required.

o Where required, provide support in managing the helpline emails.

Support Services Events

o Lead on the development and delivery of three one day conference style events annually.  These will be held throughout the UK and will offer panel discussions and networking for our community. 

o In partnership with the wider team, occasionally represent The Foundation by running information stands, coordinating volunteers and preparing information for external events such as industry conferences.

o Where appropriate attend and present at external meetings.

o Support the management and delivery of the portfolio of online and in person events delivered by the Pituitary Foundation in conjunction with the wider team.

About the role  
As Crisis’ Media and Artist Liaison Officer, you will play a key role in securing impactful media coverage that inspires the public and politicians to join our fight to end homelessness by raising awareness of our influencing campaigns and fundraising events. You will help to build Crisis’ profile by bringing to life our work, demonstrating how we end people’s homelessness for good through education, training and support with housing, employment, and health. You’ll also identify, build and nurture relationships with artists and influencers to secure their support for Crisis and our work, whether that be political campaigning, fundraising or our commercial and retail offering. 

Your role will be creative and varied. You’ll work with our frontline staff to identify people facing homelessness who want to share their stories and empower them to do so. You’ll help create hard-hitting news stories and media hooks that engages our audiences and raises awareness of Crisis’ work. You’ll also work with our Artist Liaison Manager to utilise our high-profile supporters and ambassadors to inspire and raise awareness of our cause with key audiences and develop creative and engaging ways to amplify our media campaigns on social media. You will also help make the most of reactive opportunities that come through to our press office and help build strong relationships with key journalists.   

Location: Based in London office (Working from home is an option in line with Crisis’ Hybrid Working policy with a minimum of two days a week working in the office)

About you  
To be successful in this role you will have:  

• Experience of working within a busy press office environment/ PR agency or as a journalist.    

• Experience of generating engaging and impactful media and talent plans that secure stand out coverage across news, consumer, online and regional media.   

• Excellent writing skills, with the ability to write for a range of audiences and outlets including news, consumer, and trade.  

• Experience of working with high profile people (including influencers) and management teams.    

• Experience of working with and interviewing case studies, identifying and preparing stories for the media and empowering people to share their experience.  

• Good knowledge of the UK media, celebrity, and influencer landscape

We are looking for 2 talented, creative and experienced Events Officers to work in our already established team.

Main Responsibilities:

• To assist in the delivery of UKIM’s events programme across the UK and be part of the team that supports the national leadership of the organisation in delivering events (including fundraising and marketing events) as per agreed strategy and plan.

Fauna & Flora is seeking an experienced professional to support it’s fundraising from statutory (government and multilateral) donors.

You will support colleagues and partners to develop high-quality proposal packages and reports for priority donors and ensure their timely submission. You will work across the statutory funding portfolio, critiquing proposals, providing editing and formatting support, and ensuring that all documents produced for donors meet their criteria, as well as follow Fauna & Flora’s approval and submission procedures. You will lead on researching in-country funding opportunities from statutory sources, and will produce and maintain up-to-date briefs on priority donor strategies.

You will have excellent data management skills, and monitor Fauna & Flora’s activities in statutory fundraising and fund management, to support the statutory funding team’s operations as well as internal decision-making and strategy development.

Strong relationship-management and communications skills are essential to the role, to develop positive, collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including regional teams, non-governmental partners, and government agencies. You will be as tenacious as you are persuasive, and your excellent interpersonal skills will enable you to extract information to meet timelines. You will be a strong team player and enjoy working in a dynamic environment where the ability to respond swiftly to changing organisational and team needs is paramount. With a proactive and pre-emptive approach to your work, you will seek to add value and work with minimal supervision.

We are looking for someone who is outgoing and enthusiastic to join our Supporter Care team, who will carry out essential supporter engagement and administrative activities associated with marketing campaigns, donations, fundraising events and requests for materials. With previous experience of providing excellent customer service, you will have the ability and confidence to communicate with a variety of people, engaging with supporters by phone, email and in writing about a wide range of enquiries. 

The Supporter Care team at Alzheimer’s Research UK is often the first point of contact in the charity for supporters, potential donors and members of the public. The Supporter Care Administrator works alongside five other team Administrators handling supporter enquiries, processing donations, and thanking supporters to ensure an excellent standard of customer care and to generate the maximum amount of income for dementia research. This role reports to the Senior Supporter Care Officer (SSCO) and ensures that the team successfully deliver an efficient and a first-class supporter experience for the charity.

This is a 12-month fixed term contract, or on return of the substantive post holder, due to a secondment. This role will you to be in the office 2-3 days per week depending on business needs.

Main duties and responsibilities of the role:

Supporter engagement

· Answering inbound telephone calls; responding to a wide range of enquiries including marketing campaigns, donations, fundraising events and requests for materials.

· Managing email enquiries, either by responding or forwarding as necessary.

· Responding to written enquiries received in the post.

· Making outbound telephone calls in order to increase the value of, or to retain supporters; including thanking, obtaining Gift Aid declarations and reactivating lapsed donors.

· Recording feedback received by the charity and assisting in the resolution of complaints.

· Champion high quality supporter care, ensuring that all supporters and members of the public have an excellent experience when contacting the charity.

 Donation processing, database and general administration

· Processing donations from telephone calls and mailings, acknowledging supporters appropriately.

· In Memoriam giving; sending out materials, processing donations and sending appropriate acknowledgements to donors, Funeral Directors, and the Next of Kin.

· Regular giving; processing new Direct Debit instructions and Standing Order payments, amending and cancelling gifts as necessary.

· Processing and thanking donations relating to regional fundraising and sporting events.

· Ensuring the integrity of the database (currently Salesforce), by amending supporter details as necessary.

· Opening and batching incoming post.

· Updating team procedures as required.

· Archiving, scanning and filing documents.

· Confidence working with computers – good knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook and CRM databases.

South London Citizens 

South London Citizens is a thriving chapter with a growing team of ~18 organisers and project staff. We are building the power of communities in South London through borough alliances (in Greenwich, Lewisham, Southwark, Lambeth, Wandsworth, Merton, Croydon) and the wider region by developing community leadership and supporting people to take action on what matters most to them. Over the past three years, we have worked in partnership with mental health trusts to deliver a pioneering organising project, South London Listens (SLL), to prevent mental ill-health, and more recently with wider South London NHS leaders to take action on a range of issues (from low wages to housing conditions) that impact our communities’ health.

Purpose 

We are looking for two Associate Organisers to join our thriving and dynamic team in South London building the power of local communities. These roles will support local organising, and have a specific focus on health and living wage organising.

In this exciting and innovative role, you will work with community organisations, including faith institutions, schools, universities, and community groups. Your primary responsibility will be to

1. build ‘Be Well’ teams to support the wellbeing of their communities, as part of the South London Listens partnership; 

2. find and develop new community leaders within their organisations; and 

3. take action to tackle the social determinants of health inequality (e.g. lack of migration status, racism, housing conditions, low wages and precarious work).

One or both of the roles will also include specific organising with low paid workers to lead the fight for a real living wage and living hours.

A central focus of an Associate Organiser is their own development: learning the craft of Community Organising under the guidance of an experienced Community Organiser. An Associate Organiser is working towards becoming a competent practitioner of the craft of broad-based community organising methodology, and focuses on the building of relational power, the recruitment and retention of dues-paying institutions, the development of leaders, the strengthening of member institutions, leader-led public actions, and the winning of systemic change. Main Responsibilities 

Working as an Associate Organiser in South London for Citizens UK your main responsibilities will be to:

Grow and deliver on the priorities of South London Listens and our broader Health organising 

• Build and support new Be Well Hubs in a range of institutions in your allocated boroughs. Including identifying new institutions, delivering training, and supporting them once they are established.

• Work with other organisers to deliver on the priorities identified by communities that are part of the South London Listens project

• Ensure reporting and capturing of stories of the South London Listens project are captured and shared to celebrate and grow the project.

Situated in the Programmes, Policy & Impact Directorate, and reporting into the Head of UK Programmes, the Programme Lead, Carer Poverty Alleviation is a new role linked to the development of a new major programme operating in England, Scotland, and Wales. We are seeking a motivated and confident person who can deliver a high-quality professional service, to work on our helpline. Previous experience of working in health, social care or the helpline sector is essential. You need to be a patient, empathetic listener with excellent verbal and written communication skills. The role will involve assessing and responding to callers' needs via our telephone and email service providing practical and emotional support and delivering learning sessions about PSP and CBD to health and social care professionals. Ideally, you will have experience working on a helpline or in a health or social care setting.

Ability and willingness to travel within your region is essential.  Occasional weekend work may be required.  The role covers the following regions: Greater London, Kent, Essex & Surrey.

The team provides technical advisory expertise and fosters and supports internal and external programme and technical partnerships and networks. The team also leads on developing normative programme documents and standards and advise and support the delivery of a programme capacity enhancement strategy. PSK collaborates with many functions across the organisation including policy, advocacy, campaigns, fundraising, communications, as well as with WaterAid partners and collaborators.

About the Role:
The Climate and Environment Lead is a leadership position in the WASH Technical Effectiveness team, reporting to the head of the team. The Climate and Environment Lead is accountable for the strategic development and effective delivery of the core team responsibilities on climate resilience and environmental sustainability for high quality WASH programming in both urban and rural, low-income settings, incorporating WaterAid's and the sector's leading practices, innovations and methods.

Applying a people-centred, systems strengthening approach to WASH, she/he leads the provision of high quality specialist technical analysis, advisory, and support services to the design, inception, implementation, troubleshooting, monitoring, and/or assessments of WaterAid's programming worldwide, at both strategic and operational levels.

In collaboration with country, regional and global colleagues, she/he leads the facilitation of effective learning and management of technical and programme knowledge across the organisation, and leads the development of relevant standards and guidance. She/he also provides high quality strategic and technical input to fundraising, communications, and external engagements.

The Climate and Environment Lead has substantial autonomy in determining what the technical objectives are and how they are delivered and achieved. She/he is held account for the integrity and effective delivery of the technical advice and services. She/he is seen as a thematic authority and is expected to effectively handle the most challenging technical assignments. With a strong understanding of organisational dynamics and ways of working, the Lead advisor is expected to bridge gaps and siloes, proactively establishing and maintaining relationships with colleagues across WaterAid and beyond, and facilitating joined-up and comprehensive efforts to advance WaterAid's programming globally.

About You:

• Substantial technical experience in climate science, climate adaptation, resilience, environmental sustainability, environmental impact assessment and/or other inter-related topics across different settings, demonstrated through a progressive career record.
• Strong technical experience in systems strengthening, sustainable development, water, sanitation, health, hygiene, behaviour change, gender, inclusion, and/or other WASH-related topics.
• A relevant post-Graduate degree or equivalent work experience.
• Proven ability in leadership and strategic thinking.
• Substantial experience and success in offering technical assistance, consulting, and/or advisory services to empower and to develop capacities.
