Job Purpose

Oceana is seeking an experienced Development Lead to curate, grow and diversify our rapidly expanding fundraising and partnerships portfolio. Working closely with our UK team and US-based international development team, you will be responsible for the collaborative stewardship of relationships with some of the world’s biggest environmental foundations and philanthropists.

You will help identify and drive new relationships, managing successful grant applications with trusts and foundations in the UK, and cultivating new fundraising streams. You will have a strategic mindset along with a meticulous attention to detail. Fostering exemplary relationships with diverse partners is central to the role and critical to our success. You should be experienced in handling competing priorities, delivering exceptional funding applications and reports, and providing updates with precision and confidence. You will also have a passion for growing and diversifying income streams and converting new interest into long-term, sustainable, support.

Reporting to the Director of Finance and People, you will work closely with our teams, and the global development department, to secure the sustainable resources Oceana UK needs to deliver further impact at this crucial time for our ocean. The role will also help Oceana maximise opportunities to deliver policy victories for UK seas for many years to come and strengthen our work globally.

You will be a self-starter, with a broad range of previous experience, and the ability to develop and manage your priorities in this new role. You will be comfortable working independently and as part of a small team. The position will be hybrid, with 2 days per week from home and 3 days per week based in Oceana’s office in Paddington, London or in Newquay, Cornwall. Occasional travel will be required to meet team members and stakeholders in geographically diverse locations.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the development of a UK specific fundraising strategy.
• Manage relationships and reporting to existing funders alongside the international development team and Executive Director. This will primarily be with trusts and foundations, and individual philanthropists.
• Identify and develop new opportunities with trusts and foundations.
• Manage successful grant applications and budgets, co-ordinating and collaborating with the international development team.
• Work closely with the finance and campaigns team to ensure all relevant stakeholders are consulted in grant applications and reporting.
• Manage and deliver timely reporting, communications and updates to funding partners and stakeholders.
• Oversee and develop other existing UK income streams, including mass giving.
• Identify, develop and manage additional UK income opportunities, including with smaller trusts and foundations.
• Collaborate with the Director of Finance and People, and international development and budgeting teams to manage the income forecast and grant financial reporting.
• Maintain appropriate development records and database for all UK activity.
• Develop and manage key fundraising and partnerships events.
• Work with Executive Director to develop our outreach with funders at international events.
• Attend and represent the UK in monthly development meetings with the international team.
• Design and manage the UK’s development budget.

Candidate Requirements:

Education and work experience:

• Extensive professional experience in fundraising and development, ideally in the ocean or the environmental space.
• Good professional relationships with environmental trusts and foundations
• Demonstrable experience in managing successful multi-year grant applications and budgets with trusts and foundations.
• Strong experience of managing charitable foundation relationships and delivering detailed and timely reports, and communications to add value where required.
• Experience or working with campaigns teams to develop funding applications.
• Experience of managing philanthropist and major individual donors.
• Experience in prospecting, managing and analysing research on fundraising opportunities.
• Experience in co-developing and diversifying fundraising strategies (mass giving, digital, appeals, etc)
• Clear experience of in co-developing and diversifying fundraising strategies, and writing strategic plans, and contributing to planning and budgeting processes.

Skills & Knowledge:

• Demonstrable experience of networking and relationship development with funders.
• Proficiency at understanding, distilling and communicating complex scientific issues and detailed campaigns for fundraising purposes.
• Highly organised in managing positive relationships with funders beyond reporting.
• Strong writing skills, with experience writing applications and reports
• Excellent relationship building and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience using CRM platforms or other grant management tools.
• Strong project management skills, with demonstrable experience managing multiple workstreams effectively.

Lead Music Therapist

Coram Parenting and Creative Therapy Service

Contract: Permanent, 28-35 hours days per week, 4-5 days per week

Location: Coram campus, London

Coram Parenting and Creative Therapy Service offers art, music and drama therapy, therapeutic parenting, clinical psychology and family therapy to children and families at our dedicated creative therapies centre and in schools.  We work primarily with adoptive and connected carer families, and children who have low level mental health difficulties.  We are a trauma-informed service and have specialist expertise in neuro-diversity and children with special education needs. The well-established team has a strong track record in therapeutic interventions, including music therapy, art therapy and narrative therapy based multi-family groups for younger children who are adopted or with a Special Guardianship Order.  We have a purpose built therapy building and have recently built a music studio for our adolescent work.  We work within very diverse communities and we consciously challenge ourselves and our practice, seeking at all times to be inclusive and anti-racist. We welcome applications from therapists who come from global majority communities.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced HCPC qualified Music Therapist to provide leadership, supervision and management of music therapists and other creative therapists in the service.  You will carry out therapeutic multi-disciplinary assessments and music therapy interventions with adopted and Special Guardianship Order families.  This work involves trauma informed approaches, family work and life story work.  The team is led by a Clinical Psychologist and provides creative, relational, and evidence based approaches, collaborating with wider networks and reaching schools and communities to inform child centred and trauma informed practice. The post holder will receive supervision by a highly qualified Music therapist, and be line managed by a Clinical Psychologist.   The post offers a unique opportunity to work alongside skilled creative and family therapists. We seek to empower children and families using strengths based narratives, as well as accepting vulnerability and seeking opportunity for connection, strengthening resilience and support. 

The successful candidate will be experienced at working with managing and supervising therapists, developmental trauma, and child and family work and operates with initiative and responsiveness in a dynamic professional environment.   A background in CAMHS and/or a social care services would be desirable, with a good understanding of safeguarding planning and managing highly emotive situations. Experience of running multi-family groups would be an advantage. This role requires a supportive professional, a team player, who enjoys working in a diverse, respectful and challenging team.

James' Place exists to stop men dying by suicide across Liverpool, London and now at our most recent centre in Newcastle which opened in November 2023.  To date, the Charity has supported over 2,300 men through our life saving intervention and we aim to make the experience of finding help as easy as possible to men living throughout the North East who are ina  suicidal crisis.  We offer a brief, intensive, therapeutic intervention in a safe, welcoming environment.  Men who walk through the door at James' Place are in a space where they feel valued and respected.

This appointment is part of our growth as a charity and our new centre in the Summerhill area in Newcastle. FearFree delivers services across the South West for victims and perpetrators of domestic abuse and victims of sexual violence. We provide responsive, victim focused, and trauma informed support and this post will be fundamental to ensuring service users, stakeholders and partners experience this in our daily delivery.

Based within our Devon Service, which delivers domestic abuse services across Devon, the IDVA Team Manager manages our high risk victim/survivor service provision. This includes line management responsibility for our experienced team of IDVAs.

Our IDVA Team provide independent support and advice to high risk victims of domestic abuse, with a clear focus on reducing risk and increasing safety. The IDVA Team work within a multi-agency system to provide a proactive, person-centred independent service for victims of domestic abuse, empowering choice through informed decision making.

The key tasks include:

• Having responsibility for the provision of domestic abuse support to high risk adult victims across Devon.
• Line managing the IDVAs, providing case supervision, support and direction.
• Maintaining close working relationships with MARAC (multi-agency risk assessment conference) to ensure the smooth running of MARAC.

1. Key responsibilities:

• To provide leadership, direction and support to the IDVAs including leading in recruitment, training, scheduling and supervising staff, ensuring excellent management of the team delivering domestic abuse support to high risk service users.
• On a day to day basis oversee the performance of the IDVA Team, acting as the main point of contact for the staff.
• To line manage the team of IDVAs, providing case management supervision, line management support, allocation of cases and ensuring all staff are supported to meet their full potential.
• To continue the development of the IDVAs into a cohesive and supportive team, through the use of open communication, team meetings and coaching. This will include developing the specialist IDVA roles including Mental Health and Health IDVA’s.
• Play an active role in supporting the MARAC process, including attending MARAC Management meetings.
• Ensure the IDVA Team works to Leading Lights standards.
• To promote a culture of engagement, improvement and best practice within the IDVA Team, to deliver a high quality and accessible service.
• To develop and maintain a culture and systems that promote trauma informed practice and equality within the IDVA Team, valuing diversity and offering empathy to victims of abuse and violence.
• To lead on reporting outcomes linked to the IDVA Team and the support of high risk adult victims of domestic abuse.
• Carefully monitor and evaluate the performance of the IDVA Team, with a focus on quality assurance.

2. Relationships and partnerships

• Proactively build relationships with the wider statutory and voluntary partners across Devon, with a focus on supporting high risk adult victims of domestic abuse.
• Actively network across the operating area to build the charity’s reputation and harness support for the organisation. 

3. General

• Work closely with the Devon Service Manager and other Team Managers to ensure that all victims and survivors of abuse receive a high standard of support, whilst being appropriately focused on risk and safeguarding.
• To have a clear understanding of risk: assessing individual need, to ensure that the appropriate strand of support within the Devon service is accessed.
•  To provide statistical analysis as required by the Devon Service Manager.
• Undertake role relevant training to maintain specialist knowledge, keep up-to date with legislation, information and best practice relating to domestic abuse and other related work to maintain Continued Professional Development.
• Attend team meetings, monthly supervision and participate in organisational data collection system.
• Contribute to effective team working with a flexible and pro-active approach, including cover for other team members’ holidays and sickness.
• Work within organisational policies and procedures at all times.
• Undertake all statutory and mandatory training, as required by the organisation.
• Carry out any other duties that are within the scope, spirit, and purpose of the role, as required.

About the role: 

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated Grants Officer to join our dynamic organisation. During this maternity cover, Grants Officer will report directly to the Director of Grants, Contracts and Compliance. They will work across all of Internews’ geographies to provide the highest standard of grant management support to partners receiving higher value grants from us. The incumbent will have a unique opportunity to learn about Internews’ work and to contribute meaningfully to the advancement of our missions across the World.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Grant Management and Compliance

· Provide grant management support to Programme Management Units, country offices and partners. Participate in regional portfolio reviews.

· Support start‐ups of partner projects by coordinating project stakeholders and ensuring that all relevant processes and procedures are in place.

· Develop guidance documents and procedures to enable effective and compliant operation of partner projects. Supports project teams in adapting Internews’ standard sub-granting policies, procedures and toolkits to country contexts.

· Review and sign off on alldue‐diligence assessments in preparation for sub‐granting to partners.

· When requested, support project teams and the Business Officers, in monthly spend and burn rate reviews and donor report submissions

· Monitor the compliance from HQ to satisfy organisational and donorrequirements.

· Monitor the implementation of partner projects to ensure the implementation process is in line with grant agreements; and proposes solutions to implementation issues. Quality‐assure partner reporting, and track co-financing liabilities.

· Provide end-to-end management of partnership agreements, including drafting.

· Participate in project close-outs. Contribute to audit; support the audit manager on queries about sub-grants.

· Maintain records on the organisational grant management system.

Partnerships and Development

· Design and implement grant management and compliance trainings for partners and Internews staff.

· Identify and document best grant management practices from individual grants, works with M&E colleagues to coordinate debriefings with stakeholders.

· Advise development colleagues on key considerations relating to donor and statutory compliance requirements as related to sub-grants.

· Contribute to the development of partner budget proposals to ensure their appropriateness and compliance.

· Transfer grant-management expertise to country offices

· Support country office leadership teams to identify requirements and recruit grant management staff;

· Deliver trainings for key grant management staff in country offices and PMUs.

Expert advice

· Manage and develop the grants expertise at GC&C team ensuring the highest standards of grant management support to PMUs, country offices and regional and multi-country portfolios as required.

· Provide ongoing feedback to the Director of GC&C on required improvement and updates on donor regulations and contractual obligations to ensure organisational knowledge is built and improved continuously, with particular focus on the consistence and continuous improvement of sub-granting processes.

· Ensure good knowledge management across grants, including key project documentation, to enable all teams supporting the grant to access information and provide a fully auditable trail.

· Contribute to annual work planning and budgeting process.

Essential Skills and experience:

· Demonstrated experience in the context of international non-for-profit.

· Strong experience in the development and implementation of grant management processes and procedures.

· Deep understanding of rules of major European donors, including the European Commission, SIDA, and FCDO.

· Proven track record in conducting due diligence on organisations and their policies, ensuring compliance and alignment with standards.

· Proven track record in grant management training and mentorship for grantees.

· Comprehensive understanding of the setup, governance, and business models of non-for-profit organisations and media

· Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English, enabling clear and effective interaction with stakeholders.

· Proficiency in interpreting budgets and accounts, facilitating informed decision-making.

· High IT literacy, including proficiency in grant management systems (preferably U4B), Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

· Demonstrated self-motivation and initiative, with the ability to work autonomously.

· Effective organisational skills, including prioritisation, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of tasks and adherence to deadlines.

We are looking for Support Workers (known internally as Project Workers) to join our Hammersmith & Fulham Pathway.

The services recruiting for this role are in the Hammersmith and Fulham Supported Pathway are:

• The Old Theatre – 12 bed female only very high support needs hostel based in Hammersmith
• Edith Road – 24 bed male only medium to high support needs hostel based in West Kensington
• Hope Gardens – 27 bed mixed gender medium to high support needs hostel based in Shepherds Bush

In these vital roles you will:

• Work with clients to identify their personal aims and ambitions and work towards achieving them.
• Provide practical and personal support to clients in an approachable, caring and person centred way.
• Work as part of a dedicated team to provide safe, high quality, positive and inclusive service to clients.
• Complete administrative records relating to client work, housing management and health and safety.
• Work on a weekly shift rota including early and late shifts, weekends and bank holidays.

About you

You will be supporting our clients on their road to recovery; aiding clients to gain necessary skills to move on from our services and into suitable accommodation.  You will work with a case load of clients, aiding them to gain necessary skills to maintain independence in the community.  The role is focused on supporting residents around their strengths and aspirations for the future.

This role will be accountable for shaping and continually improving how we use data within B Lab UK, building tools, processes, policy, skills, and behaviours across the organisation to ensure we are putting data at the heart of our work to allow us to better achieve our mission.

Responsibilities will include:

• Ensure data and analytics drive knowledge, insights and context for the organisation

• Drive the continuous improvement and quality B Lab UK’s insight generation tools, ensuring the organisation is enabled to draw insight from internally and externally generated data

• Strengthen our approach to tracking, collecting, and utilising data, focusing on improving analytical efficiency and accuracy, and data quality and integrity.

• Working collaboratively with teams across B Lab UK, design, build and maintain comprehensive reports, dashboards and visualisations, providing actionable insights and metrics for the organisation.

Skills and Experience 

Essential

• Practical Experience and knowledge of conducting data analysis and visualising data for critical business decision-making and processes.

• Experience processing, structuring and improving data, and working with a range of digital systems to do this.

• Comfortable working with stakeholders from non-analytical backgrounds, gathering requirements, and translating them into structured analytical questions and approaches.

• Highly data literate with a good working knowledge of data types, the use of basic descriptive statistics (e.g. mean, standard deviation), and how to use data visualisation tools and techniques effectively to communicate insight.

• The ability to work collaboratively across teams, and build strong relationships with a diverse range of internal stakeholders.

• Working knowledge of GDPR and experience of adhering to it.

Desirable
