Purpose of the role:

To be a proactive and experienced administrator to:

• Ensure the smooth day-to-day running of a busy and growing Therapeutic Service through excellent administration.
• Work closely with and support the Therapeutic Service team to ensure effective administration and organisation of the service.

Main duties:

• Work with the Therapeutic Service Manager in:
• Administration: welcome clients to the premises; handle client queries over email/telephone and ensure messages are dealt with efficiently and in a timely manner.
• Develop, reviewand maintaineffectiveinformationadministrativesystems within the counselling service including the office calendar, attendance records, and client waiting list.
• Liaise with the volunteer counselling staff in organising the counselling assessment interviews, maintaining the waiting list, organising counselling appointments by letter and telephone.
• Administer the progress of new referrals and assessments and report any changes in schedules.
• Administer returned registration questionnaires.
• Send out information packs, referencing the clients, dating and organising the questionnaire.
• Action new client allocations in a timely manner.
• Ensure messages from client to counsellors are delivered efficiently.
• Take cash or card payments from clients and issuing receipts.
• Support volunteer counsellors and other staff in daily administrative duties.
• Work closely with the other Therapeutic Service Administrators for the smooth transition and transfer between day and evening services.
• Work together with the other Therapeutic Service Administrators to ensure the counselling rooms are kept in good order for clinical practice in line with Health and Safety guidelines and Clinical Governance measures.
• Keep a record and update counselling personnel information.
• Send service updates and distribute leaflets every quarter to key stakeholders.

About the Service

The Enfield Refuge Service provide emergency accommodation to women and children fleeing domestic abuse and sexual violence. Refuge Support Workers provide emotional and practical support including housing support, legal options, police liaison and guidance around child contact, benefits, financial advice and accessing therapeutic support services.

About the Role

Our Refuge Support Workers provide advice and support to women who have experienced domestic abuse. You will carry out risk and needs assessments, develop support plans and provide key work to women survivors. You should have demonstrable experience of working within this or a similar client group.

About You

You will have an in-depth knowledge of domestic abuse and its impact on women and their children, as well as experience of providing emotional and practical support to victims of domestic and sexual violence.Your experience of managing risk and following case management procedures will be essential to the success of this role.

You have a strong understanding of women’s needs and be able to support them to assess risk, develop safety plans and support them by linking with other agencies. You will have a working knowledge of the available legal remedies, housing, and welfare benefits, as well as experience of providing workshops.

In addition to case management, you will be required to undertake housing management responsibilities including health and safety and maintenance of the refuges. You will have excellent administrative and time management skills.

An in depth understanding of the needs of women and children from diverse backgrounds is essential.

Additional Information

The postholder will be based at our Enfield Refuge, providing on-site support to survivors on a part-time basis (15 hours per week). Given the nature of this role, we are unable to offer hybrid working for this position.

The salary for this post is £11,754 - £12,268 (pro-rata of £29,385 - £30,671 Unqualified)) or £12,268 - £13,049 (pro-rata of £29,923 - £32,623 (Qualified)).

Support Workers are responsible for supporting people with autism, learning disabilities and behavioural needs to live full lives, develop skills and maintain their wellbeing. The Young Carers Participation and Co-design Coordinator will work collaboratively with young carers, schools, local carer organisations and Network Partners to coordinate and facilitate meaningful young carer participation across the programme. This includes coordinating a national Young Carers Ambassador Group, embedding co-design approaches throughout programme activity, and ensuring young carers’ voices and experiences inform the development of resources, programme delivery and future priorities.

This role is central to advancing our mission by amplifying the voices of young carers and ensuring their lived experiences shape the support available to them. By strengthening participation opportunities, fostering collaboration between schools and local carer organisations, and embedding co-design at every stage of the programme, the postholder will help improve understanding of young carers’ needs and experiences. The work will contribute directly to improving educational outcomes and support for young carers, while also generating shared learning and evidence to inform future policy and practice, ensuring young carers’ voices are reflected in services, decisions and opportunities at both local and national levels.

Sounds great, what will I be doing?

The main purpose of this role is to provide high-quality support and interventions to clients with mental health needs who require early intervention and prevention. The postholder will support clients throughout their time in the service, empowering them with the skills to cope independently, while working in line with organisational values, the ethos of recovery, and principles of co-production. Responsibilities include managing a caseload of clients, delivering group activities and programmes, and clearly communicating the aims, objectives, pathways, and service model to enable clients to fully participate in and co-produce their support. The role also involves helping service users engage effectively with community professionals, developing peer support networks and community-based approaches, monitoring the health, wellbeing, and safety of service users, and contributing to the core work of the service. Accurate and timely administration, referrals, assessments, and service reviews are required, alongside participation in supervision, appraisals, training, and team development activities. They will have a sound understanding of safeguarding issues and the ability to address them appropriately, work effectively both independently and as part of a team, and support the induction of new peer staff and volunteers. Strong communication, partnership building, and interpersonal skills are essential.

About the role

Galop runs a free counselling service for LGBT+ survivors of abuse and violence, staffed by employed and freelance counsellors and psychotherapists. The service works to proactively address the barriers to counselling that some LGBT+ people experience and provides a safe, confidential and affirmative service for our clients.

This role will work closely with the existing two Senior Counsellors, where you will have a shared responsibility for the therapeutic team, understanding their strengths, interests and competency levels. We are looking for someone to provide case management, identify learning needs in the team and provide training. You will play a key role in the recruitment and induction of new contracted and freelance counsellors.

You will be an experienced counsellor who can chair semi-weekly allocation meetings and provide clinical decision making for the service. We want you to act as a point of contact for day-to-day questions and safeguarding questions from counsellors.

You will help to further develop the therapeutic service. You will develop an in-house safeguarding process, as well as attend and report into safeguarding meetings with the wider Galop team.

About the role

You will be joining our growing Children and Young People’s team, supporting survivors remotely across the UK. You will work directly with LGBT+ children and young people who have experienced domestic abuse, sexual violence, hate crime and/or so called conversion practices. You will offer young people a space to talk and think through options, helping them plan what they want to do, and offering assistance in getting what they need from services. Your work will focus on needs specifically related to experiences of abuse or violence, including issues such as wellbeing, support with the criminal and civil justice process, safety and access to other services to enable survivors to cope and recover. You will be empathetic and thoughtful in your approach to understanding your clients’ needs, while remaining boundaried and mindful of self-care.

You will sit alongside our other advocates supporting LGBT+ young people facing abuse or violence. You will work with mainstream services to ensure the voices and experiences of LGBT+ survivors are represented in order to make change for our community at a local and national level. You will also work closely with key partner organisations by attending meetings and have the opportunity to take part in external work to ensure a joined-up approach among services working with LGBT+ people facing abuse and violence.

Advocacy Support Cymru (ASC) is a registered charity with offices in Cardiff and Swansea. We provide Independent Mental Health and Mental Capacity Advocacy Services across most of South Wales, employing 57 employees.

About you

You will have significant experience working with vulnerable adults and/or children, either within health or social care setting, or indirectly, for example as a carer. You will understand and have experience of working effectively in an intra-agency context with Health and Social Care Professionals.

Previous direct experience in the role would be preferred but training will be provided.

To provide a Community Advocacy service to people in the area who are receiving services from Community Mental Health Teams, Tier 2 services or above, or who qualify for a fast track assessment under Part 3 of the Mental Health (Wales) Measure 2010.

Responsibilities of our Retail Online Hub Assistant:

• The succesful candidate will be responsible for processing  and listing donations on the donated online hub  to maximize our donated online income stream

• You will work collaboratively with shop management and volunteers to deliver a robust operation and positive customer experience

• experience of listing and selling items on online platforms (Professional or personal).

• good IT skills and confident using MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

• Cats Protection is launching its first Superstore format, offering customers an exciting destination for both fashion and home. With a significantly larger footprint than a traditional charity shop, the Superstore will provide an enhanced shopping experience, a wider product range, and greater opportunities to raise funds for cats and kittens in need. 

• As Assistant Shop Manager, you will support the successful day-to-day running of the Superstore, leading volunteers, driving stock generation, delivering excellent customer service, and deputising for the Shop Manager to help maximise sales and drive performance.

• Ability to motivate, support and manage a team of employees and volunteers.

Responsibilities of our Van Driver: 

• The Superstore Van Driver plays a key role in supporting the success of the Superstore by ensuring the safe, efficient and timely collection, delivery and movement of stock across the Cats Protection retail network. This includes transporting donated and purchased goods, furniture, electrical items and other bulky stock between customers, donors and stores.

What we’re looking for in our Van Driver: 

• Previous experience of driving a commercial vehicle (manual), driving in variable conditions and using Satellite Navigation equipment

• Experience of handling furniture, bulky items or retail stock and following manual handling guidelines

• Physically able to safely lift and move large donations in accordance with manual handling procedures and health and safety guidance.

• Excellent organisational and planning skills, with the ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple collections and deliveries efficiently.

• Hold a full valid UK driving licence and willing to drive Retail fleet vehicles including a Luton van (with tail lift)

• Flexibility to travel within the region as required

Sounds great, what will I be doing?

The role focuses on building positive and supportive relationships with women and their children, empowering them to work towards their goals through a strengths-based approach. This includes creating, implementing, and reviewing personalised support plans in collaboration with service users and external agencies, while also advocating on their behalf when needed. Key responsibilities involve assisting mothers with parenting skills, signposting them to appropriate services, and offering targeted support to families facing issues such as domestic abuse. Ensuring the safeguarding of children and maintaining confidentiality at all times are central to the role, alongside working within relevant policies and procedures.

Additionally, the position emphasises the importance of children's development and wellbeing by providing educational, recreational, and interactive play opportunities both during term time and holidays. Service users and children are encouraged to actively participate in shaping projects through consultations, feedback, and creative engagement. The role also involves promoting community involvement by networking, fundraising, and collaborating with statutory and voluntary organisations. Ultimately, the work contributes towards the five key outcome areas: being healthy, staying safe, enjoying and achieving, making a positive contribution, and achieving economic wellbeing.

Here's what the team will be looking for

The role also requires flexibility to travel between service premises and to accompany clients when necessary. Success in this position relies on being able to manage responsibilities effectively within a structured and often pressured environment, while always keeping the wellbeing and empowerment of families at the centre of practice.
