The post holder will be part of Rights of Women’s Family Law team and will play a key role in delivering the organisation’s core services to women affected by domestic abuse and other forms of violence against women and girls (VAWG).

The post holder will provide specialist legal advice through Rights of Women’s telephone advice lines, contribute to the delivery of training, and support the development of accessible legal information through publications and other resources. They will also support survivor engagement and contribute to Rights of Women’s policy work, helping to drive systemic change for women’s rights.

The role will also involve contributing to Rights of Women’s Family Justice and Domestic Abuse Partnership work, which brings together local professionals to strengthen the family justice system for survivors of domestic abuse. This will involve occasional travel to local areas.

The Legal Officer will play a leading role in maintaining and developing Rights of Women’s online peer-to-peer forum, which builds the capacity of professionals supporting women survivors. This includes supporting the online community, producing legally accurate and relevant public-facing content in response to queries and emerging themes, and contributing to a regular online newsletter.

Alongside other Legal Officers, the post holder may share responsibility for supporting, training and developing Rights of Women’s team of over 50 remote legal advice volunteers.

Role description:

We are excited to be seeking a talented and motivated individual to join Southampton Hospitals Charity as our Grants Manager.

This role will provide the right candidate with a rare opportunity to implement, embed and oversee the delivery of the Charity’s £2.5 million dedicated grant programmes from pre to post award.

Covering four programmes (Patient Care, Research & Development, Clinical Innovation and Staff Education & Improvement), the post holder will be responsible for managing circa £2.5M of expenditure each year, ensuring they deliver impact for patients, staff and donors.

This is a unique opportunity to work within the hospital environment where the projects we fund are delivered, supporting clinical staff to access funding to directly improve patient care. You will be vital in cultivating these in-hospital relationships.

This role will be key, as continue our ambitious new strategy to grow our reach and impact, and this opportunity offers the right candidate the chance to implement new ways of working as part of the management team.

Main responsibilities

Grant Management & Compliance

• Oversee the delivery of the charity’s dedicated grant programmes from pre to post award: Patient Care, Research & Development, Clinical Innovation and Staff Education & Improvement. The post holder will be responsible for circa £2.5M expenditure per annum ensuring they deliver impact for patients, staff and donors (grant values typically range from £2K to <£0.5M).
• Oversee the management of the charity's current grant portfolio; ensuring grants are delivered on time and in accordance with internal processes.
• Ensure compliance with financial obligations (inc. payments, reconciliations and audits) and regulatory obligations (inc. data management, grant award contracts, procurement).
• Ensure grant making processes reflects and champion current best practice.
• Develop and implement a Grants Advisory Committee.

Relationship & Stakeholder Management

• Build relationships with key stakeholders within University Hospital Southampton NHS Trust (UHS), including senior health professionals, executive team members, partners and beneficiaries.
• Work to embed the grants programmes within the hospital environment and work with UHS staff to support them in access funding through working within the hospital and regular visits to clinical areas.
• Act as primary liaison for the Charity’s grant making responsibilities, ensuring alignment with charitable objectives and 2024-2027 strategic mission 
• Provide support to Director of Operations and Resources and the Senior Leadership Team, fostering a collaborative approach to grant programme delivery in tandem with fundraising, communication and art programme goals.
• Represent the organisation at meetings, attending hospital site visits, events and other external facing activities as required.
• Implement hybrid applicant and grantee support functions (e.g. webinars, Q&A events, promotional events, annual learning events).

Strategic Planning & Funding Prioritisation

• Lead the development of the Charity’s grant-making function, working with internal and external stakeholders in identifying key funding priorities that align with the Charity’s mission and future goals.
• Develop strategies for allocating resources effectively and the ongoing review of grant programmes (aiming for continual improvement).
• Develop strategies for working in partnership with UHS for joint decision making, the effective management of capital awards and high value grant requests.
• Identify new grant opportunities and potential partnerships to diversify funding streams.
• Maximise grant impact by contributing to the business planning process.

Evaluation, Reporting & Impact

• Oversee processes for effective grant monitoring, reporting and analysis of grants portfolio.
• Develop and implement an evaluation framework for the charity’s grants programme, ensuring this is embedded and linked to organisation wide reporting mechanisms and measurable outcomes are achieved.
• Use data and insights to inform the continuous improvement of grant-making practices and programme development.
• Utilise information captured to promote grant programmes and support Fundraising and Communications Directorate.
• Support the Grants and Impact Officer.

General

• Support the line management and continuing professional development of the grants team.
• Ensure content and material is in line with Directorate of Fundraising and Communications for marketing, publications, website and social media responsibilities.
• Support the wider work of the organisation, contributing to all staff events/meetings as required.
• Support the Director of Operations and Resources in the preparation of necessary Trustee reports, annual reports and impact reports.
• Support EDI journey.

Knowledge and experience

• Substantial experience in grants management, within a relevant not-for-profit setting (e.g. healthcare charity). Post holder must be proficient with pre and post award responsibilities including assessment.
• Demonstrable track record of contributing to organisational strategy.
• Demonstrable track record of utilising grants management systems.
• Demonstrable track record of budget management.
• Proven ability in managing impact measurement of charitable programmes.

Ideally you have experience of managing intergenerational or multi-generational projects, however if you don't have intergenerational experience then strong experience of working with older people and young people/children separately is required.

WHAT WE WANT FROM YOU:

Lead facilitation of intergenerational sessions

Taking responsibility for the high-quality delivery of the session, leading activities from the front, delegating tasks to  and managing a supporting volunteer if appropriate. The lead facilitator will endeavor to involve everyone present in the session, be responsible for ensuring that InCommon’s safeguarding procedures are followed and that any incidents are handled appropriately. 

Building and maintaining strong relationships with people of all ages 

Using your excellent communication skills you’ll build strong relationships with everyone taking part in an InCommon programme, from children and older people to primary school teachers and staff working at the retirement homes. This role may involve communication before and after the session with parties taking part; where this is the case it will be clearly communicated by the Senior Programme Manager. 

A lead facilitator should be someone who can

• Engage a roomful of people over fun, creative and conversation-based activities

• Is reliable, trustworthy and can commit to monthly term-time sessions.

• Is sensitive to the needs of young people and older adults, understanding the variety of needs they may have.

Grosvenor Chapel is a Chapel of Ease in the Ecclesiastical Parish of St George’s Hanover Square.

Over the last three years the Chapel has been going through a period of transition, renewal and growth. We currently have a modest annual income, which comes from regular giving, occasional donations, and the hiring out of our Chapel rooms and car bays, and are seeking an experienced Finance Officer to help with the day-to-day management of the Chapel’s finances.

Whilst some tasks are covered by existing staff, the Finance Officer will have responsibility for overseeing the Chapel’s accounting processes, monitoring income and expenditure, managing accounts payable and accounts receivable, overseeing service cash collections and banking, completing the monthly reconciliations and preparation of financial reports, helping with any VAT and quarterly gift aid returns. The role will also be required to support the annual budgeting process, year-end audit and preparation of statutory accounts.

Most of the work will be expected to be completed remotely, with attendance in person on site at least once a month for meetings and other activities.

 Knights Youth Centre (KYC) was established in 1936 as an independent Christian Charity. The centre provides a range of universal and targeted youth work programmes in partnership with a number of statutory and voluntary organisations and is located on the boundary of the Clapham Park Estate (the largest estate in the Borough of Lambeth). In 2025 KYC is joining the Oasis family of charities and will be known as Oasis@Knights. We are seeking an experienced and passionate Team Lead to run our Inters Group Session (ages11-14) at Oasis@Knights. This is an opportunity to run engaging and informative activities for young people aged 11-14 in the Lambeth area, inspiring them to reach their potential and to make a real difference to their community. The successful candidate will be responsible for running these sessions weekly, managing session staff, delivering engaging activities, attending occasional day trips, as well as responding to and reporting any safeguarding concerns. 

Key responsibilities will include: 

1. To lead the delivery of youth sessions at Knights Youth Centre (KYC) and facilitate youth provision in line with the ethos, values and vision of Oasis. 

1. To work and engage with young people (aged 11-14), by delivering planned sessions, activities and occasional trips.   

1. Deliver informal education opportunities and small group mentoring within the identified sessions and the wider community. 
2. To manage and coordinate KYC staff members whilst leading sessions.

1. Record all activity on our data management system. 

1. Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young people you come into contact with. 

1. Actively engage in the learning and professional development courses provided as part of this employment.

The successful post holder must have:

· Proven experience in leading youth work provision for young people aged 11-14.

· Experience of managing staff in a youth provision setting.

· An understanding of the challenges impacting young people in Lambeth – in particular education, employment, mental health and criminal exploitation.

· Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships.

· Knowledge of safeguarding practices and experience working with young people in challenging environments.

· A commitment to the Oasis ethos and values, including inclusion, equality, and perseverance.

Title: Project Finance Officer

About the role

Sightsavers are looking for an experienced Project Finance Officer to support the Digital Futures Programme. As the Project Finance Officer, you will manage the day-to-day financial operations, donor compliance, partner oversight, and ensure alignment with programme objectives.

Further responsibilities include:

Donor Budget Management and Reporting

• Preparation and maintenance of the Project Budget to ensure data is complete and maintained on a timely basis.

• Work with the project team to ensure that all donor-related information is disseminated to project, finance, and logistics staff as well as partners to enable them to abide by donor rules and regulations.

• In coordination with project staff and partners, prepare and regularly update the spending plan.

Financial Management:

• Prepare monthly budget versus actual reports and send to the Programme Manager and to other relevant staff.

• Prepare quarterly financial report as per Institutional donor requirements, ensuring it is complete, accurate and produced on time to ensure adequate review, approval, and submission to the Finance Lead-Digital Futures programme.

• Capture and review transactions in AMC monthly to ensure they are correctly coded and accurately captured with clear descriptions.

• Prepare and consolidate the monthly invoice and expense projection. Analyse differences between the projections and actual spending and submit adjustments as required.

• Ensure financial reports are produced in compliance with Donor’s exchange rate policies, including keeping track of expenditure in currencies other than GBP and identifying the rate at which they need to be converted into GBP.

Partner Financial Reporting:

• Ensure partners report as per the required reporting template for both internal and donor formats.

• Review and coordinate the consolidation of partner financial reports.

• Undertake quarterly financial monitoring visits to partners to review internal control processes and provide capacity building in procurement, reporting and compliance and other areas of weakness.

• Coordinate with all partners for review of financial reports, payment (Funds) requests to finance and overall financial oversight. (This includes integrating reports, providing financial advice based on donor compliance rules to partners).

• Undertake partner visits to review their financial procedures, capacity building and follow through on implementation of recommendations.

Procurement:

• Identity program procurement needs in consultation with the Program Manager.

• Supply chain procurement preparation in coordination with the Central Procurement team.

• Source for quotations and analyse the quotations for review by FSSM.

• Adherence to donor rules, Sightsavers programme procurement for the project consumables and Global Financial Framework and Procurement Policies.

Skills and Experience

As the successful candidate you will possess a relevant professional accounting qualification and a bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting. You will have working experience in a similar role, ideally within and INGO environment, including a background in managing grants/contracts from institutional donors and Foundations, and have experience in financial review and compliance for public institutions and OPDs.

Further requirements including:

• Experience of financial management, program & project management and administration.

• Logistics and Procurement experience.

• Experience supporting Program teams and partners with budget preparation and proposals.

• Experience of working on the SUN and Standard Bank Online platforms/systems.

• Project Financial management and data analysis skills.

• IT skills – Excel, MS Word, an accounting package and Emailing.

• Ability to understand and work with project budgets, forecasts and reports.
