WeSwim is a pioneering charity dedicated to promoting inclusivity in swimming and enabling people with disabilities to be active. Through our community-driven approach, we provide opportunities for individuals with disabilities to engage in swimming activities, fostering confidence, well-being, and social connection.
Role Overview:
As the Operations Manager at WeSwim, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of our programs and services. Reporting to the Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our regional WeSwim program, managing a team of dedicated staff and volunteers, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance our impact and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:

Program Management: Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of WeSwim's swimming sessions and events, ensuring adherence to quality standards and safety protocols.

The Autism Centre of Excellence exists to improve access to high quality support and remove barriers and stigma for autistic people, but to do this we need to grow our funding.
We aim to raise £5 million over the next five years to increase our reach, impact and activities, whilst creating a sustainable and predictable income stream for the charity. To do this we need to systematically build a pipeline of donors and supporters, to build profile and new relationships. In the short term we need someone who can lead the development of a series of applications to trusts, foundations and other sources of funding to support our priority workstreams.
Main duties and Responsibilities
- Primary focus will be on managing and soliciting income from your own portfolio of high value trusts, foundations and statutory funders, securing gifts of between £10,000 - £1,000,000 to successfully achieve the charity’s ambitious fundraising targets.
- Secondary focus will be on the planning and delivery of first-class Special Events and Major Donor fundraising.
- Create a robust prospect pipeline of effectively researched and qualified funders, ensuring a continued flow of prospects through the pipeline, taking a sales approach to lead generation and the assessment of the warmth and value donors.
- Deliver effective research of prospective and existing donors, which enables us to raise significant income through both new and existing relationships; utilising our networks effectively.
- Implement effective cultivation and stewardship journeys that provides a high-quality supporter experience to your portfolio of donors and prospects.
- Deliver first-class relationship management to ensure excellent ongoing relationships with donors in both a written and face-to-face capacity.
- Deliver exceptional writing skills through proposal and bid writing and day-to-day communication with donors and colleagues.
- Fully understand the charity’s projects and activities to both ascertain their suitability as funding propositions and communicate them in a compelling manner to funders.
- Work closely with operational colleagues to develop compelling and thorough cases for support to inform our research and fundraising strategies.
Benefits
Salary: £34,000 to £39,000 FTE, dependent on skills and experience.
25 days annual leave
Hybrid working, working in Cambridge a minimum of two days a week.
The role is permanent and full-time. However, we will consider part-time applications.

Key responsibilities
1. Manage WheelPower’s social media output
- Plan, create, write and schedule social media posts. Analyse activity and respond to comments and tagged posts
- Create paid and organic digital campaigns for social media which support events and encourage activity and engagement. Plan and design creative elements including use of images, graphics, animations and video
- Spot trends and advise on best social media content and new technologies
- Be aware and engage in social media content from other organisations that relate to disabled people and the organisations who support them. Have a good understanding of current events, sporting opportunities and re-share or comment on where appropriate
- Monitor and analyse social media activity of related organisations to identify opportunities and learnings to improve WheelPower’s online presence
- Create live social media content, be confident in photography and videography to take photos, interview participants and use camera to produce video content
2. Website
- Ensure that wheelchair users have access to the right information, in the right format, promoted in the right locations which enables them to take part in sport and physical activity
- Maintain the website to ensure that all information is up to date an accurate
- Create new webpages to support the promotion of new opportunities and activities and ensure that all pages are optimised for search engine and ensure we learn from Google Analytics and visitor behaviour
3. Marketing and communications
- Produce innovative content for the delivery of creative, successful and cost-effective marketing and media campaigns targeting online and off-line audiences.
- Target specific communications which promote our work to wheelchair users, those who support wheelchair users, disabled groups, disabled children, their families and our supporters.
- Manage and produce regular outbound communications which promote WheelPower and our partners’ events and activities.
- Maintain and develop good relationships with local and national media organisations.
- Produce high quality press releases for written media, arrange interviews with radio, and be the point of contact to organise and arrange TV media to attend our events.
- Create, monitor and evaluate paid for social media advertising and online digital marketing opportunities. Work with a given budget to produce effective and engaging Ads.
4. Content Creation
- Promote our events and activities by telling the stories of how our work has had a positive impact on the physical and mental well-being of disabled people
- Produce a range of well written and informative stories which will underpin our promotional activity. Arrange interviews and be confident with audio/visual equipment to capture positive feedback from our beneficiaries.
- Create original social media graphics, leaflets, posters and a wide variety of marketing materials to promote sport and fundraising activities.
- Work within the brand guidelines to ensure consistency.
- Work with existing and new partners in order to communicate through their networks and channels with a particular focus on disabled people’s organisations and disabled people’s user led organisations.
- Engage and create specific content for Awareness Dates and work with our partners to increase awareness of the work of WheelPower.
- Have a good understanding of video editing software and be able to create, edit and produce professional looking innovative video content.

Your role
As Shop Manager at Scope's Scarborough shop, you’ll have autonomy to run your shop using your creativity and flair to flourish in our retail environment. Our retail roles are full of variety, and every day is different! One day you might be generating and processing stock and designing an eye-catching window display. The next day you might be recruiting and training our wonderful volunteers. Every day there will be a different challenge that you’ll find extremely rewarding. You will have relevant experience in retail but a great attitude and willingness to learn is just as important.
About you
As Shop Manager you’ll be passionate about retail and have a love of fashion with experience of running a shop, or you’ll be looking for a management role as the next step in your career. To be successful, you’ll need a commercial, can-do attitude and always put the customer’s needs first. You’ll be a dedicated team player with a strong work ethic, a great attention to detail, solid IT skills and a creative eye for displays. About working in our shops
Our shops are the face of our retail brand, run by a dedicated, creative and passionate bunch of superstars. We focus on sustainable fashion and engaging with local communities. Shop hours
It’s important for you to know that Scope Charity Shops are open every day. So some weekend and Bank Holiday cover is needed. Our full time hours are 35 hours a week, working five days out of seven. Weekly hours for part-time vacancies are on a seven-day rota.

Job Summary
We are looking for an Arts Sector Employment Coach will support young adults with SEND to apply for jobs within the Arts sector and coach them through the recruitment and induction process.
The role incorporates:
· Working with the Arts organisations in making their recruitment processes more accessible to candidates with disabilities
· Providing job coaching support to induct the new employee into their role.

Support Dog is a unique and innovative national charity that has been transforming the lives of families affected by autism, epilepsy and disability for 30 years.
Support Dogs trains and provides specialist assistance dog to give 100% reliable advance warning of epileptic seizures; to help children with autism to stay safe and better engage with the world around them. Working Well is a mental health and employment charity in London. All of our projects share the aim of improving the lives of people with mental health, learning disabilities, neurodiversity, and/or complex issues through training and employment.
We are recruiting a full-time and a part time Employment Support Worker for our supported employment team in the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames. These are permanent roles. The post holder will carry a caseload of clients who may have one or more support needs including:

The focus of the role is to support clients to achieve their employment goals, engaging with employers and training providers to secure vocational outcomes in line with client preferences.
Experience of employment support is not essential, it is more important that you share our commitment to supporting people to find the right job for them. Experience working with individuals affected by learning disabilities and autism would be beneficial. The successful candidate must be comfortable in approaching employers, persuading them to use our service, and working with them to recruit our clients to fill vacancies and sustain employment.
You will work closely with referring teams, providing a coordinated approach that always remains client led. You will also be in working to targets whilst maintaining a high-quality service.
We are operating a hybrid working model in our Kingston team, with a combination of working from home and in the community with a required 3 days per week spent in our Kingston office.
Staff benefits include an employer contribution to a personal or workplace pension equivalent to 6% of gross salary. 30 days annual leave plus paid public holidays.
